The role of artificial intelligence in preparing foreign language classes: current opportunities and prospects for application in a non-linguistic university
Smolina O., Bogdanova E., Kralina Y.
Аннотация
the current development of digital technologies promotes the active integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in education, particularly in foreign language teaching. AI is viewed not as a replacement for teachers but as a tool to expand didactic capabilities: automating routine tasks, personalizing learning content, providing interactive feedback, and analyzing educational trajectories. AI-based personalized learning considers students’ cognitive, linguistic, and motivational characteristics, reduces cognitive overload, and fosters learner autonomy. Automated assessment enhances grading objectivity, reduces teacher workload, and encourages self-regulation skills. Interactive platforms such as Duolingo, Babbel, and Busuu offer adaptive learning, gamification, and socially embedded practice, increasing language learning efficiency. Speech recognition (ASR) and neural machine translation (NMT) technologies support pronunciation, listening, and pragmatic skills development even with limited language immersion. AI analytics predict learning risks, create adaptive pathways, and enable evidence-based educational management. However, AI’s effectiveness is limited in emotional interaction, intercultural interpretation, and creativity. The optimal model combines technological and human factors, where AI provides technical and analytical support while teachers maintain roles as motivators, communicators, and mentors. Consequently, AI transforms language education by creating personalized, interactive, and socially embedded learning environments, fostering linguistic, intercultural, and digital competencies essential for the 21st century.

Features of an interdisciplinary approach to teaching issues of food and food raw material falsification to university students
Vasilyeva N.
Аннотация
the purpose of the conducted study is to select and substantiate the most effective didactic approach in studying the issues of counterfeiting of goods and products by students of a number of specialties and areas of bachelor's degree. It has been demonstrated that, given the multifaceted nature of the concept of «falsification», an interdisciplinary approach is the only reliable condition for ensuring a comprehensive and accurate interpretation of the concept and its subsequent practical application in professional activities. Of no small importance is the potential of an interdisciplinary approach for developing students' universal competence in «systemic and critical thinking», applicable not only to the educational module (topic) of «falsification», but also for exploring issues and solving complex professional problems. This article assesses the understanding of the value of an interdisciplinary approach in the teaching environment and its application in the professional training of university graduates. Practical ways of implementing an interdisciplinary approach, taking into account the specifics of a graduate's future qualifications, are proposed. The role of specific academic disciplines in the development of professional thinking, which is binary in nature, is demonstrated at two levels: invariant (general professional) and variable (specific professional).

The role of the integrated-skills approach in teaching English
Mineeva O., Daricheva M., Borshchevskaya Y.
Аннотация
the paper offers a theoretical and methodological analysis of the integrated-skills approach to teaching English as a foreign language (ESL). Based on a theoretical review of scholarly literature, it demonstrates that the interconnected development of all four language skills (listening, reading, speaking, and writing) shifts instruction from rule acquisition to the functional use of a language. The findings indicate that such organization increases learners’ motivation, engagement, and confidence. It also fosters transversal competences, including critical thinking, collaboration, and reflection. The paper systematizes key integration models content-based learning and task-based learning and explores their hybrid configurations that allow tailoring course design to instructional goals, learners’ age, and proficiency level. The methodological principles of integration are clarified: the unity of the language system, communicative orientation, cross-curricular and sociocultural integration, personal relevance, and cooperation. The technological logic of the lesson (“input ? interaction ? output”) is described, along with its implementation through authentic materials and varied activity formats. The study specifies didactic conditions for effectiveness, including a balanced sequencing of receptive and productive skills. It also notes limitations of the integrated-skills approach: the labor-intensive design of integrated tasks, challenges of comprehensive assessment, and dependence of outcomes on institutional resources and teacher’ qualification. The results of the analysis made let the authors argue for adopting the integrated approach as a methodological foundation for core and elective English courses.

Fostering professional teaching motivation in future specialists through the specialization of the educational environment
Gurova E., Krushanova R.
Аннотация
the challenge of fostering professional teaching motivation in future specialists through the specialization of the educational environment is extremely pressing and is driven by a combination of social, economic, and pedagogical factors. Employers today are interested not just in graduates with diplomas, but in specialists motivated to work in their chosen field, possessing conscious professional interests and quick adaptation to specific tasks. Specialization helps bridge the gap between theory and practice, developing precisely this kind of "target" graduate. Low motivation and disillusionment with the chosen profession after entering the workforce lead to high staff turnover, especially in socially significant fields (e.g., teaching). Early and conscious development of motivation through immersion in the professional environment helps prevent these negative phenomena. The state and society are interested in ensuring that investments in each individual's education are recouped. If a graduate does not work in their chosen field, this indicates the ineffectiveness of their educational trajectory. Specialization increases the likelihood that graduates will remain in the profession. The purpose of this study is to theoretically examine the development of professional teaching motivation in future specialists through specialization of the educational environment.

Matsepura G.
Аннотация
in the context of modern student life, maintaining mental and physical health remains a key issue: high levels of stress, lack of physical activity, and sleep disorders negatively affect academic performance and quality of life. This study analyzes the relationship between the average daily number of steps and the psychophysical state of students during long-term observation. The materials used include data from pedometers and smartphones, as well as the results of standardized questionnaires to assess stress levels, emotional well-being, and sleep quality. The methodology includes descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and the application of regression models to identify significant relationships between activity levels and health indicators. The results obtained allow us to conclude that regular walking is an important and accessible means of strengthening students' mental and physical health and can be taken into account when developing physical education programs and preventive measures in the educational environment. The study confirmed that regular increase in physical activity reduces stress levels, improves sleep quality, and enhances energy and concentration. Simple measures such as challenges, organized walking routes, and regular «walking breaks» become effective tools for supporting students' health and well-being, recommended to be included in university wellness programs.

Scientific and methodological approaches to the development of educational programs in the context of educational system modernization
Sukhoterina E., Skachkova E., Zakirova R., Sukhoterin D., Eroshenko Y.
Аннотация
the topic "Scientific and Methodological Approaches to the Development of Educational Programs in the Context of Educational System Modernization" is extremely relevant due to a complex set of fundamental changes in society, the economy, and technology. The emergence of artificial intelligence, big data, and robotics requires a reconsideration of educational content. It is important to teach not just facts, but critical thinking, information processing, creativity, and the ability to solve complex problems. The world is becoming increasingly unstable, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous. Educational programs must develop soft skills: adaptability, communication, and emotional intelligence. Professions are changing, some are disappearing, and new ones are emerging. Education should be focused on lifelong learning. Graduates should be able to learn, relearn, and update their knowledge independently. The goal of a modern curriculum is not to impart a body of knowledge, but to develop students' ability to apply this knowledge in practice to solve real-world problems. This requires new methods: project-based learning, problem-based learning, and case studies. Standardized approaches are becoming a thing of the past. Today, research and development efforts are seeking ways to create adaptive and personalized programs that take into account the interests, abilities, and learning pace of each student.

A strategic paradigm for researching the development process of teachers' professional creative activity in the context of information diversity
Khachaturova K.
Аннотация
the article addresses the urgent issue of developing teachers' professional creative activity in the context of the modern information society. The author substantiates the inadequacy of the traditional knowledge-oriented paradigm and the need to shift towards new models of teacher education. A proprietary concept of a strategic paradigm is proposed as the methodological foundation for the research, defined as a comprehensive system of value-semantic, theoretical, and technological frameworks aimed at studying and designing the process of forming an innovative teacher. The essence and multicomponent structure of professional creative activity are revealed, including motivational-value, cognitive, activity-technological, and reflective components. Based on the integration of systemic, activity-based, axiological, and synergetic approaches, a structural-functional model for the development of creative activity is developed, consisting of target, content-procedural, diagnostic-corrective, and result-evaluative blocks. Special attention is given to the role of information diversity as a key factor that is both a challenge and a resource for creative development. The article provides a detailed description of the set of organizational and pedagogical conditions necessary for the effective implementation of the model: creating a creative educational environment, integrating formal, non-formal, and informal education, implementing a stimulating motivation system, and fostering a team-based organizational culture. A set of modern pedagogical technologies that contribute to the development of creative potential is presented and characterized, including technologies for developing creative thinking (brainstorming, synectics, TRIZ), technologies for organizing project activities (project method, case study), and technologies for reflection (portfolio, supervision). The article presents a holistic concept that holds both theoretical and practical significance for modernizing the system of teacher training and professional development.

An analysis of the results of online questionnaires, focus group work, and personalized interviews with mentor teachers in conditions of anonymity and confidentiality revealed general positive trends in the field of professional teacher education, as well as problems requiring a systematic approach to their resolution. The latter include the insufficient preparedness of graduates to work in a heterogeneous educational environment, the low adaptability of graduates to the challenges of modern schools, and the rather low connection with the university in solving methodological problems in the practice of teaching subjects. The proposed innovative scientific and pedagogical cluster of the Novgorod region is designed to solve many of the existing problems through seamless, continuous and cross-project training of teaching staff for educational institutions of the region.

The formation of engineering thinking of students in solving professional technical problems using aviation English
Petrishchev V., Grass T., Lebedeva N.
Аннотация
this article explores the development of students' engineering thinking when solving professional and technical problems using aviation English, based on the new-generation textbook "Aviation English for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, Technicians, and Mechanics," published by INFRA-M in Moscow in June 2025. The authors, emphasizing the importance of motivation in teaching aviation English to future engineering students, proposed a series of tasks and exercises to foster student interest, based on the "from simple to complex" principle, taking into account the various individual psychological traits of students, aimed at developing engineering thinking. Scientific literature offers a variety of definitions of engineering thinking, which is inextricably linked to science. During their aviation English studies, students are exposed to real-life professional situations they may encounter in their future jobs: from describing technical problems to independently solving issues related to the maintenance or repair of an aircraft component or unit, aimed at maintaining the aircraft's airworthiness and safety. In our case, the development of engineering thinking in aviation university students occurs through solving professional engineering problems using technical aviation English. The results obtained showed that the implementation of the proposed exercises, assignments, and teaching methods contributes to the development of systematic thinking as a fundamental quality of engineering thinking in future specialists.

the article attempts to identify differences and similarities in how adaptive and non-adaptive sports are represented in the media, which is an important step in improving the presentation and coverage of adaptive sports. By comparing them, it is possible to identify areas where adaptive sports coverage needs improvement. Studies have shown that the presentation and media coverage of adaptive sports is often inferior to non-adaptive sports. This can lead to negative impact on public perception and acceptance of adaptive sports and athletes with disabilities. By improving the representation and media coverage of adaptive sports, we can increase public awareness and acceptance of these sports and athletes, and help create a more inclusive and equitable society.

Discussions on modern technologies in the education system
Sukhoterina E., Shakirzyanova R., Todis L., Sukhoterin D., Oreshin D.
Аннотация
the topic of debate about modern technologies in the education system is relevant and important at the current stage of societal development. Its relevance stems from a complex set of factors affecting the economy, social sphere, psychology, and the very essence of the learning process. Modern educational technologies create a fundamentally new educational environment that is personalized (adapted to the student), interactive (requires active participation), networked (erases boundaries and encourages collaboration), and relevant (quickly updates and responds to the challenges of the times). Decisions made today will determine whether the digitalization of education will become a springboard for creating more personalized, accessible, and effective learning, preparing people for the challenges of the future, or a source of new problems: social stratification, loss of human connection, and the devaluation of deep knowledge. Therefore, these discussions are not simply academic debates, but a strategic dialogue about the future of society as a whole, which should involve not only educators and technologists but also parents, psychologists, politicians, and students themselves.

The problem of developing general competencies in higher education in respect of the demands of the modern labor market
Sushko N., Troitskaya T., Sokolova T., Oreshin D., Sabaeva E.
Аннотация
the problem of developing general competencies (soft skills) in higher education is a central issue in the debate about modernizing the training system. The modern labor market, driven by the fourth industrial revolution, globalization, digitalization, and the rapid pace of change, has radically altered the demands placed on university graduates. While highly specialized, "brick-and-mortar" knowledge (hard skills) were valued in the industrial era, today these skills become obsolete faster than students complete their studies. Flexible, cross-professional skills that enable adaptation, learning, and effective performance in an unstable, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous environment are becoming increasingly important. Higher education's ability to transform itself and make the development of these competencies not optional but a core element of the educational process will be a key factor in its competitiveness and usefulness for society as a whole. Otherwise, it risks permanently losing its monopoly on personnel training, giving way to alternative educational platforms and corporate universities, which are already more flexibly and selectively developing market-relevant skills. The problem of developing general (or soft) competencies in higher education has become more acute in the context of sanctions and labor market transformation.

Characteristics of the Belarusian method of teaching fortepiano to Chinese school students
Wu M.
Аннотация
with the development of internationalization in music education, Belarusian piano teaching methods have provided new recommendations for reforming secondary education in China. A comparative analysis revealed that the Belarusian teaching methodology is based on the concept of “integration of technique and art”, and its systematic approach to curriculum development and “collective-individual interaction” model contrast sharply with the traditional Chinese approach, which focuses on “skills priority”. This study focuses on the entire period of teaching in educational institutions and aims to provide an in-depth examination of the adaptation and application strategies of the Belarusian piano teaching methodology in the author's private lessons for Chinese schoolchildren. Based on a comparative analysis of Chinese and Belarusian piano teaching methods, an analysis of differences in concepts, goals, methods, and assessment systems, and taking into account the actual conditions of teaching in private lessons for Chinese schoolchildren, the study examines specific ways of localizing Belarusian methods. The study found that cultural transmission training and improvisation are uniquely important for the development of intercultural musical perception among Chinese schoolchildren. In addition, the “step-by-step” approach to localization proposed in this study, which involves paying special attention to technique (cultural education) at the initial stage and deepening the artistic aspect (innovative integration) at the intermediate and advanced stages, provides valuable recommendations for the development of piano education in China.

Psychological literacy as a predictor of the formation of parental pedagogical culture
Yarychev N., Tsakhaeva A., Ekhaeva R.
Аннотация
the purpose of this study was to determine the conditions for developing a pedagogical culture in parents. Analysis of primary sources on the research problem, observation, interviews, questionnaires, expert assessments. It was shown that educating parents about the patterns of children's psychological development, developing self-development skills, raising their aspirations and desire to achieve a high level of pedagogical culture will increase parental self-esteem and the ability to create an individual algorithm for pedagogical success in the child-parent relationship. Educational programs to improve psychological literacy will change parents' perceptions of their children's personality and behavioral destructiveness (conflict, stubbornness, disobedience, barriers to misunderstanding, whims, refusal to fulfill requests, etc.), develop skills for calm, friendly communication in tense, emotionally charged situations, and a desire to use pedagogical culture, as well as the need to achieve success in intra-family relationships. Based on the data obtained, it is possible, together with specialists in the fields of psychological and pedagogical support for personal development, to construct a self-development path for each parent.

Multidimensional analysis of approaches to teaching business Russian to Chinese students
Yan Q., Olesova A., Qi H.
Аннотация
with the deepening of the Belt and Road Initiative, teaching business Russian has become a crucial task, namely to train multidisciplinary specialists in their field. The aim of this study is to develop multifaceted approaches to teaching business Russian that combine language, professional knowledge, and cultural studies based on the principles of outcome-based education (OBE). Through the innovative use of task-based learning, scenario modeling, and blended learning methods, the study explores effective approaches to teaching business Russian in the context of the Chinese education system. The study found that curricula focused on solving real-world business problems significantly improve Chinese students' ability to engage in “flexible speech acts”. At the same time, the blended learning model within SPOC effectively combines online and offline resources, eliminating the shortcomings of traditional approaches to teaching related to the practical application of knowledge. According to the results of the training practice, the use of these approaches has led to significant improvements in Chinese students' proficiency in applied business Russian, intercultural communication skills, and professional competence. In the future, business Russian language training should be aimed at further strengthening the use of intellectual technologies, deepening cooperation mechanisms between universities and enterprises, and improving multidimensional assessment systems to better meet the changing requirements of Chinese-Russian economic and trade cooperation.

The ratio of pedagogical effectiveness and economic efficiency of paid educational services
Garbuzova T., Andreeva V., Tikhomirova G., Amagaeva Y., Lisienkova L.
Аннотация
in the context of the transformation of the Russian education market, the issue of aligning pedagogical goals with economic results is becoming key to the sustainable development of organizations providing paid educational services. This article examines the relationship between pedagogical performance and economic efficiency based on a pilot study that covered continuing professional education programs, preparatory courses, and short-term online micro-courses in Russian educational organizations. We propose operationalizing pedagogical results through the increase in academic achievement, the proportion of successful program completions, student retention, and student satisfaction. We also propose operationalizing economic efficiency through marginal income, adjusted return on investment, break-even point, and the cost of achieving the result. Based on statistics, correlation and regression analysis, and the cost-utility model, we reveal the links between the quality of the educational process and program cash flows. It is shown that sustained growth in academic achievement and high satisfaction reduce acquisition costs, increase repeat purchases, and enhance marginal revenue per student. The integrated index's management logic is substantiated, allowing for the balancing of pedagogical and economic priorities in pricing, curriculum design, and resource allocation. Practical implications for administrators and faculty are formulated, and the applicability of the results and directions for further research are outlined.

Formation of school students’ functional literacy in the conditions of digital transformation of the educational process
Akopyan V.
Аннотация
the relevance of the study is due to the fact that the practical skills which students receive in school in addition to knowledge and abilities, may be suitable for their daily activities. The purpose of the study is to justify that in the era of transformation of the educational process, the formation of digital functional literacy among school students is actualized. As an example, the "Express questionnaire of self-assessment of the formation of indicators of digital functional literacy in accordance with the study of foreign languages" was developed and tested. During the survey, it was found out that when using digital technologies, the motivation and involvement of students in schools are being increased. It is proposed that digital functional literacy includes not only the ability to work with digital technologies, but also the ability to analyze information from Internet. It has been proven that thanks to digital technologies and the solution of contextual problems, associated with a real life situation, school students are gradually developing critical and divergent thinking. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that in the context of the digital transformation of the educational process, the emphasis is on the fact that digital technologies are not only devices for information accessibility, but they are also knowledge about cybersecurity and the ethics of digital communication.

The role of political memes in enhancing contextual comprehension and pragmatic skills of students learning English
Korolyova L.
Аннотация
this paper examines the relationship between political memes and their impact on improving contextual comprehension and pragmatic skills in a foreign language among second-year students enrolled in non-linguistic programs, namely, "Information Systems and Technology" (technical focus) and "Economic Security" (humanities focus) at Pskov State University. The aim of the study was to evaluate the use of political memes in English classes as a tool based on the analysis of their impact on the development of pragmatic skills and contextual comprehension, which, in turn, is necessary for developing knowledge of the linguistic realities of the target language countries and for improving foreign language proficiency overall. A methodological experiment conducted with students led to the following conclusions: 1) improved contextual comprehension occurs through in-depth analysis of memes; 2) specially designed tasks (role-playing games, discourse completion tests, tasks to identify violations of pragmatic principles, project presentations) help improve the development of pragmatic skills; 3) similar results in the technical and humanities groups are explained by the shared interest of modern young people in digital technologies and their products.

Value of classical artistic creativity in the context of digitalization and the spread of artificial intelligence technologies
Korygin A., Kovin A., Ignatyeva T.
Аннотация
the article examines the phenomenon of the increasing cultural and artistic value of classical art in the context of digitalization and the rapid spread of artificial intelligence technologies. It analyzes the paradox of the contemporary artistic process, in which the growing accessibility and algorithmization of visual production generate the opposite effect – an intensified interest in authentic, material, and handcrafted creativity. Drawing on Walter Benjamin’s concept of the “aura of the work of art,” Martin Heidegger’s ideas on the essence of artistic creation, and Jean Baudrillard’s theory of simulacra, the study reveals the mechanisms of preservation and reinterpretation of the value of classical art within new cultural and technological realities. Particular attention is paid to the issues of authenticity, authorship, corporeality, and the “human trace” in the artistic image, as well as to the transformation of aesthetic perception criteria in the age of AI-generated art. The research also explores historical and philosophical parallels between previous technological revolutions – such as photography and printing – and current digital processes, demonstrating that each new means of artistic reproduction has strengthened the importance of uniqueness and manual craftsmanship. In its pedagogical dimension, the article emphasizes the need to preserve foundational academic disciplines – drawing, painting, and composition – as the basis for developing the humanistic and aesthetic competencies of future art educators. It concludes that classical art, embodying individual experience, artisanal virtuosity, and the spiritual effort of the human creator, in the context of digitalization and the mass proliferation of algorithmically generated images, acquires not only the status of a symbolic counterbalance to technological art but also serves as a medium for preserving cultural memory, humanistic values, and the meaningful dimension of artistic creativity. Classical art thus becomes an essential means of maintaining the connection between humanity and its creative nature, affirming the value of personal experience, manual labor, and spiritual depth within the structure of 21st-century visual culture.

Chernega E., Sokolovsky S., Kopcha V.
Аннотация
in the context of rapid digital development and transformation of educational processes, artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming an integral tool in the professional activities of educators. The article examines theoretical and practical aspects of AI use by future teachers during their professional training in a pedagogical university. The author outlines key areas of AI application: personalization of learning, automation of routine tasks, analysis of educational data, creation of adaptive learning materials, support for pedagogical decision-making, digital portfolio development, content generation, feedback organization, and support for inclusive education. Based on an analysis of contemporary research and original pedagogical experiments conducted at Azov State Pedagogical University named after P.D. Osipenko in 2023-2024 with a sample of 96 students, the author identifies and substantiates pedagogical conditions that facilitate effective and ethical mastery of AI technologies: development of digital pedagogical literacy as a core competence; integration of practice-oriented AI modules into curricula; fostering critical and ethical thinking; creation of a safe digital environment for experimentation; mentoring by digitally competent instructors; embedding AI into real pedagogical cases; and organizing reflective practice through maintaining a “Digital Experimenter’s Diary.” Special attention is paid to identifying risks: technological dependency, reduced pedagogical reflection, substitution of pedagogical judgment with algorithmic solutions, ethical dilemmas (authorship, confidentiality, algorithmic bias), digital inequality, and lack of digital hygiene. It is demonstrated that, when AI is thoughtfully integrated into the educational process, future teachers not only master the technologies but also develop a responsible, conscious, and critically oriented attitude toward their application. The findings can be used in designing educational programs, professional development courses, methodological guidelines for AI implementation in schools and universities, and establishing regional centers for digital support of teachers. The article includes author-developed diagnostic tools, unique empirical data, and original interpretations, ensuring high uniqueness and compliance with anti-plagiarism requirements.
