Indicative assessment of the risk of unbalanced liquidity as a tool to increase the stability of the Russian banking sector in a crisis

Kvitsiniya A.V.

Abstract

this article presents an analysis of the risk of unbalanced liquidity as a key tool for improving the stability of the Russian banking sector in a crisis. The study is based on an extensive review of scientific publications and practical cases, focusing on the dynamic nature of liquidity and its impact on the financial stability of banks. Special attention is paid to the relationship between the level of debt, prices of goods and services, as well as the money supply as factors affecting liquidity. The risks arising from non-payment of loans or withdrawal of deposits, which makes banks vulnerable to financial shocks, are considered. The contradiction between high liquidity and profitability is noted: the desire to increase profits can lead to a decrease in liquidity due to investing in riskier assets. The interaction between liquid and illiquid assets is investigated, which emphasizes the need for balanced management to minimize risks associated with a shortage or excess of liquidity. Based on the analysis, it is concluded that effective liquidity management is important, which requires the use of methods such as the regulatory method, stress testing, GAP analysis and asset and liability management (ALM). A detailed analysis of the most common methods is proposed, as well as the development of an integrated model for assessing the risk of unbalanced liquidity, taking into account internal and external factors. The model includes a multi-level data collection system, multidimensional analysis and the creation of adaptive stress scenarios using machine learning for early warning of potential risks. This work highlights the need for an integrated approach to liquidity management, which will increase the stability of the banking sector in conditions of economic uncertainty and ensure its sustainable development.

Vanus D.S., Posokhov S.A., Ukhov I.A.

Abstract

in modern construction, the issue of replacing one material with another is often raised in order to increase efficiency, durability and reduce cost. Composite is a promising material, as it has a number of advantages over metal, and also allows you to build structures easier, faster and as economically as possible. Evaluating the economic efficiency of using composite reinforcement in reinforced concrete structures requires an integrated approach that takes into account both the technical characteristics of the material and its impact on the total cost of construction and operation of the facility. Composite reinforcement made of glass, basalt or carbon fibers has a number of advantages over traditional steel reinforcement, including increased corrosion resistance and lower weight. These characteristics can significantly affect the strength, durability and economic feasibility of reinforced concrete structures. The use of composite reinforcement in load – bearing reinforced concrete structures is an urgent issue that requires additional calculations and experimental justification.

Stepanova T.A., Izmailova L.N.

Abstract

this article discusses research methods in economics within the context of various contemporary crises (poly-crisis). We argue that qualitative methods would be more valuable and informative than quantitative methods, and we consider the integration of these approaches as necessary for two primary reasons. The first reason is a more comprehensive approach that enhances the quality of economic knowledge in terms of its structure and function, and the second reason is the democratic nature of the capitalist market and its increasing diversity. We provide an overview of qualitative research methods that can be utilized in economic analysis and their foundation. By using concrete examples from studies on economic policy that employ qualitative approaches, it is feasible to demonstrate the significance of such methods, including for a better understanding of the poly-crisis. Additionally, we examine the challenges associated with qualitative research within the field of economics and how our analysis assists in addressing some of these challenges in the current economic environment. In conclusion, we would like to discuss the potential contribution of qualitative research methods in the field of economics.

Features of logistics cost management in micro, meso- and macrological systems in the context of anti-Russian sanctions

Gnes A.V.

Abstract

managing logistics costs in the context of anti-Russian sanctions is a complex task that requires taking into account the specifics at different levels of logistics systems: micro, meso and macro levels. The sanctions imposed against Russia have had a significant impact on the country's logistics sector. This created a number of problems, but also opened up opportunities for finding new solutions and adaptation. According to the results of the study, the peculiarities of logistics cost management in the context of anti-Russian sanctions at the micro, meso and macro levels were revealed. Development of a universal algorithm for constructing economic and mathematical models of investment projects

Bezruchko D.S.

Abstract

the relevance of this study is associated with the need to develop a universal algorithm for constructing economic and mathematical models. This task is an integral part of a more general study devoted to the development of a methodology for economic and mathematical modeling. In turn, the developed algorithm should form the basis for the development of software products for modeling and analyzing the risks of investment projects. The algorithm is based on modeling three cycles of transformation of current assets: the production cycle, the financial cycle and the operating cycle. Adding relationships between indicators ensures the completeness of the model and the mutual consistency of reports. As reporting forms, the algorithm allows you to form a budget of income and expenses, a budget of cash flow and a balance sheet. Practical testing of this algorithm on a large array of projects from various industries has proven its versatility and the possibility of using it to develop economic and mathematical models of projects without modifications.

Investment in education as a guarantee of economic growth

Garbuzova T.G., Asyanova S.R., Latushkina T.S., Honchev M.A., Baishev I.I.

Abstract

investment in education is often seen as a fundamental factor in economic growth. Investments in this area contribute to the creation of a skilled workforce, which is critically important for development and innovation in any economy. Quality education improves people's professional skills, which in turn increases their productivity and ability to innovate. This contributes to a marked increase in economic activity, as more skilled workers are able to generate more income and use resources more efficiently. Therefore, the topic under consideration is undoubtedly relevant. The purpose of this study is to consider investments in education as a guarantee of economic growth. Improving the education system affects the economy not only by increasing the level of knowledge and skills. It also contributes to a more even distribution of economic opportunities among the population. Education reduces poverty by providing greater access to well-paid jobs and career opportunities. This, in turn, increases consumer demand, which stimulates business and investment growth. It is obvious that in these conditions it increases significantly: Firstly, educational organizations are a place to acquire the necessary competencies. Secondly, when creating and developing institutions that provide a high level of education, new instruments for its financing are being formed.

Assessment of the level of innovation security of the subjects of the Volga Federal District

Panteleev E.M.

Abstract

the article analyzes methodological approaches to determining the threshold values of innovation security indicators, provides a methodological approach to assessing the innovation security of a region based on assessing the threshold values of its innovation potential development, substantiates the use of the method for determining weighting coefficients based on statistical data processing, analyzes the values ??of anomalous parameters in the context of groups of innovation security indicators, which made it possible to identify regions with crisis and pre-crisis states of the level of innovation security. For each region, the final risk level was calculated as the sum of all indicators, which is interpreted as the index of innovation security of the region, on the basis of which the rating of innovation security of the subjects of the Volga Federal District was built. As a result of the study, methodological approaches to the quantitative assessment of the level of innovation security separately for each indicator were proposed, as well as a method for statistical assessment of the threshold values ??of the crisis zone, which made it possible to build a total index of innovation security and a rating of innovation security of the regions of the Volga Federal District. In conclusion, it is concluded that innovation security and innovation potential are not interchangeable concepts, do not have a linear relationship and may differ from each other in the measured parameters. To ensure innovation security, it is not necessary to have a leading position in all indicators of innovation potential; it is sufficient to comprehensively develop all areas of innovation activity, or to integrate into a higher-level innovation security system within the framework of one’s own specialization in achieving high indicators of innovation development in a specific area inherent only to a given region.

Classification of economic and mathematical models of investment projects

Bezruchko D.S.

Abstract

the relevance of this study is associated with the need to create a methodology for economic and mathematical modeling of investment projects. The existing methodological approaches and some regulatory documents on building models have not yet been systematized and do not rely on a reliable theoretical foundation. In practical activities to create investment project models, there are already established generally accepted practices, an understanding has been reached that the best quality of the model is achieved when using the three-report method. However, the lack of a unified methodology for modeling leads to distortions in both the calculations themselves and in the interpretation of the results obtained. Also, at present, there is no established understanding of the limits of applicability of certain models. In this study, we are interested in economic and mathematical models of investment projects. Developing a classification of such models will allow us to create a methodology for their construction and application in the future, which will significantly improve the quality of investment decisions. In the study, we selected the following classification features of models: by modeling object, by data structure, by scale of the modeled object, by completeness of accounting of material and cash flows, by availability of the calculation algorithm for editing, by the possibility of reuse. It is concluded that deterministic models of investment projects, executed in the MS Excel spreadsheet processor based on open calculation algorithms using universal programs (templates) are the most common and popular type of economic and mathematical model. The author also draws attention to the fact that probabilistic models based on the Monte Carlo method are a very promising subclass of the model due to their wide possibilities for risk analysis.

Personal financial resources: modern types and their relationship

Bayanova O.V.

Abstract

the aim of the study is to formulate the concept of personal financial resources, examine their types and analyze the ratio of own and borrowed sources. Methods: the methods used in the presented study of personal financial resources are the methods of economic analysis, the monographic method and the comparative method. Findings: the study specifies the main own sources of personal financial resources, including wages, which should be called a traditional source. It is noted that in the modern economy there are other opportunities for personal earnings. It is determined that an important issue in studying personal financial resources is the ratio of own and borrowed sources. Conclusions: it is determined that borrowed sources of personal finance are used in case of unexpected expenses and in the absence of personal savings. It is indicated that the absence of borrowed sources is a consequence of the presence of sufficient savings. Excess of own sources over borrowed ones may indicate the ability to repay them. Excess of borrowed sources over own ones often leads to bankruptcy of an individual. A trend of changes in the sources of personal finance has been revealed: a decrease in significant mortgage debt leads to an increase in minor debts, for example, on a credit card.

Methods for optimizing supply chains using digital technologies

Khoroshilova T.N.

Abstract

this article discusses modern methods and ways to optimize supply chains using digital technologies. In the context of globalization and the digitalization of the economy, supply chain management is becoming an increasingly complex task. The author analyzes the main problems and challenges faced by enterprises in the process of supply chain management, including insufficient visibility, difficulties in coordination among supply chain participants, and uncertainties arising from changes in supply and demand. Additionally, new trends are examined, such as process automation, the use of big data and analytics, as well as the implementation of blockchain and IoT technologies to enhance transparency. The complexities in coordination among supply chain participants, such as suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and retailers, further complicate the process, as these participants often act independently, making it difficult to align actions and make decisions. Uncertainties arising from fluctuations in supply and demand, caused by economic shifts, natural disasters, or political events, add an additional layer of complexity that is challenging to predict and account for. Blockchain technologies provide transparency and security for transactions, allowing supply chain participants to track the origin of goods and their movement in real time. Moreover, IoT devices collect data on the condition of goods and equipment, facilitating more accurate monitoring and management of processes. Practical recommendations are offered for leveraging digital technologies to enhance the efficiency and resilience of supply chains. The importance of integrating various systems and platforms that enable businesses to more effectively track and manage their resources is emphasized. Thus, the article provides valuable resources for executives and logistics professionals seeking to rethink their approaches to supply chain management in a rapidly changing business environment.
