Abstract
the purpose of this article is to assess the impact of artificial intelligence technologies on Taiwan's economic development. The object of the study is the economy of Taiwan. The subject of the study is the impact of artificial intelligence on Taiwan's economic development. Methods: qualitative and quantitative methods are used as research methods in this article. Among the quantitative methods used, the statistical analysis method and the comparative analysis method can be noted. Among the qualitative methods are the comparison method, the forecasting method, and the literature review. Findings: the impact of artificial intelligence on Taiwan's economy is considered. A connection is noted between the "AI boom" and the positive dynamics of Taiwan's economic indicators. The author concludes that Taiwan's economy receives greater growth from the production and export of high-tech components used to develop AI technologies than from the introduction of technologies into production processes. In addition to the positive impact, the paper also notes the challenges Taiwan may face and suggests possible solutions. Conclusions: Artificial intelligence has become a driver of Taiwan's economic growth in recent years, strengthening its position in the global supply chain of high-tech products. Despite the significant contribution of AI to the economy, there are a number of challenges, including Taiwan's growing dependence on the semiconductor industry, resistance from developed countries to dependence on Taiwan, increasing social inequality, energy burden, and demographic risks. To ensure sustainable growth, it is necessary to more actively implement AI, diversify the economy, and solve the identified long-term problems. Then AI can become a driver of growth on a long-term basis and not pose a threat to the island's economy.
