Analysis of the formation and trends of changes in income, expenses and savings of the population

the aim of the study is to investigate the concept, types and behavior of income, expenses and savings of the population, as well as to develop a methodology for their formation at the micro and macro levels. Methods: the methods used in the presented study are statistical methods of analysis of income, expenses and savings of the population, the monographic method and the comparison method. Findings: the study developed a model for the formation of individual (population) income at the micro and macro levels; developed a mechanism for the relationship between national, personal and disposable income; showed a classification of income and expenses for the purpose of analyzing the relationship; formulated an algorithm for distributing current and unforeseen expenses of an individual; presented statistical data on income, expenses and savings of the population of the Russian Federation. Conclusions: according to the presented statistical data, an increase in income and savings of the population was revealed, while in the income structure the share of savings has a downward trend; the developed income generation model and mechanism for the relationship between different types of income, the presented algorithm for the distribution of expenses and savings can help in developing measures to improve the financial literacy of the population and ensure the growth of savings for the implementation of financial goals.
