Discursive markers of humor in jokes: a linguapragmatic analysis (based on German and Russian-language jokes)
Abstract
the article is devoted to a comparative analysis of discursive markers (DMs) of humor in Russian and German humorous discourse. The aim of the study is to identify universal and culture-specific linguopragmatic mechanisms for creating a comic effect. The material consisted of a corpus of 300 jokes (150 Russian and 150 German), selected by continuous sampling from joke collections and Internet resources. The work employed methods of contextual and comparative analysis. The results showed that while generally following the “setup – climax – punchline” model, the two linguocultures demonstrate different frequencies of using specific types of DMs. A conclusion is made about the most common particles in the jokes of the two studied linguocultures and their functional significance in the joke. The scientific novelty lies in the first attempt at a systematic comparison of humor DMs in these linguocultures. The obtained data contribute to discourse theory, cultural linguistics, and the theory of humor.

Cross-cultural analysis of the university website
Abstract
in the era of digitalization and globalization, the official website of a university is a key tool of interaction between the university and the audience. The university website provides basic information about the university, its educational and scientific activities and achievements. The author of this paper describes a parametric model of university discourse, that is used to conduct a cross-cultural analysis of the websites of Harvard University and Moscow State University. The model consists of the following parameters: informational, social, axiological, aesthetic, mental, affective. The aim of the research is to test the methodology for cross-cultural analysis of a university website within the framework of the parametric model of university discourse. The websites of Harvard University and Moscow State University are studied within the cultural dimensions by G. Hofstede: Power Distance and Individualism. According to the results of the analysis, the Harvard University website illustrates an individualistic culture with a low power distance, the Moscow State University website represents a collectivist culture with a high power distance. Similarities and differences between the websites are presented as verbal and non-verbal signs and codes. This paper can be applied in a number of spheres: to improve university websites and evaluate their effectiveness; in applied linguistic research related to cross-cultural communication; to promote the university around the world.

The dynamics of the semantic field “purity” in the context of digitalization: a diachronic analysis based on data from the NCRL
Abstract
this article explores the dynamics of the semantic field "purity" in the Russian language under the influence of digitalization and internet discourse. The aim of the work is to identify and analyze specific changes in the structure and content of this field at the turn of the 20th–21st centuries. To achieve this goal, a diachronic analysis was applied based on data from the National Corpus of the Russian Language (NCRL), including corpora of Soviet journalism, blogs, and social media. The research tasks included reconstructing the historical evolution of the field, identifying new meanings and semantic nuances actualized on the internet, and determining the role of the online environment as a catalyst for semantic transformations. The study found that internet discourse has led to a reduction in the sacral and moral component, an expansion of ecological semantics, the formation of a digital microfield (e.g., "clean code," "digital hygiene"), hybridization of meanings, and changes in antonymic relations. The practical application of the research results is seen in the fields of linguistic expertise, teaching Russian, as well as in digital marketing and communications for more precise audience targeting.

Verbalisation and sociopragmatics of the speech portrait of the provocateur author in online communication
Abstract
the proposed work concerns the examination of the diagnostic study of the speech manifestations of the linguistic personality of the provocateur as a participant in online communicative interaction within the realm of Russian studies, including in the field of linguistic expertise. Drawing on the experience and achievements of domestic linguistics in the study and reconstruction of the speaker/writer's personality, the author of the article presents speech profiling as an effective method for addressing the theoretical and practical challenges facing language science in this area. This tool provides a comprehensive and multifaceted description of the speaking subject, taking into account various approaches to characterising individuals. The appropriateness of creating speech profiles within diagnostic research is illustrated through a number of examples that support the researcher’s hypothesis regarding the possibility of extracting relevant markers during the reconstruction of the linguistic personality of the text's author. These markers serve as reference points for constructing a verbal «photo-robot» that reflects the real characteristics of a person, enabling their identification as a representative of various groups and associations existing in society (age, gender, professional, linguistic, territorial, confessional, and others). The obtained results can be used not only in the framework of linguistic and psychological, but also in linguistic expert research.

Analysis of communication strategies and tools of Azerbaijani media resources in working with the Russian information space during the specified period
Abstract
yhis article presents an analysis of the communication strategies and tools used by Azerbaijani media resources in interacting with the Russian information space during the specified period. The introduction justifies the relevance of the study, as cross-border information impact takes center stage in today’s globalized media environment. It emphasizes the importance of examining the peculiarities of perception and the formation of public opinion in the context of cross-cultural communications between Azerbaijan and Russia. The methodological section of the article is based on a comprehensive approach that combines methods of content analysis, comparative research, and syntactic analysis of media texts. Special attention is given to the data sample, which encompasses the main Azerbaijani news portals, as well as the methods of coding and systematizing the identified communication tools. This allows for the formation of a reliable basis for empirical analysis. The results section demonstrates that Azerbaijani media resources actively employ various strategies aimed at harmonizing their image and strengthening mutual understanding with the Russian audience. Trends have been identified towards the use of adaptive and strategic influence mechanisms, including those for positively presenting events, effectively using metaphorical symbolism, and employing rhetorical devices to create a trustworthy atmosphere. The study’s results indicate that the targeted construction of the information field based on cultural and historical factors contributes to the formation of a stable media representation of the parties.

Methodological foundations of the linguistic approach to assessing the derivational potential of kinship terms with the integration of corpus data and comparative analysis in a multilingual context
Abstract
the study of kinship terms occupies a central place in linguistic anthropology and comparative-historical linguistics, as this lexico-semantic group is universal for all cultures yet reflects unique social structures and worldviews. Traditional analysis focuses on semantics, naming systems, and etymology; however, the derivational potential of these terms – their ability to serve as the basis for new words—remains insufficiently explored, especially in a comparative perspective. The lack of a unified methodology for objectively evaluating and comparing word-formation activity across languages means that classical lexicographic approaches fail to account for actual productivity in living speech, overlooking the frequency and pragmatic significance of derivatives. This work aims to develop and test methodological foundations for assessing the derivational potential of kinship terms by integrating linguistic analysis of word-formation nests, quantitative data from national corpora, and comparative analysis in a multilingual context. This approach allows one to move from intuitive evaluations to objective indicators, revealing universal and culturally specific derivation patterns and their role in enriching vocabulary and conceptualizing the world. The quantitative analysis results demonstrated significant cross-linguistic differences: the highest DAC was found in Russian (average 0.872), intermediate in Tatar (0.654), and lowest in English (0.573). Semantic classification revealed the dominance of qualitative derivatives in English (45.2%), abstract in Tatar (35.8%), and a balanced distribution in Russian. Affix productivity was highest for -лык/-лек in Tatar (IPA 9.84), -ств- in Russian (9.38), and -ly in English (7.93). Correlational analysis confirmed a strong link between the frequency of the base term and its derivational potential in Russian (r=0.887) and Tatar (r=0.794), but a weak one in English (r=0.412).

Linguocognitive modeling of metaphor in linguodidactic discourse (based on the works of J. Harmer)
Abstract
the aim of the study is to analyze the metaphorical representation of the concept ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING in linguodidactic discourse based on the works of Jeremy Harmer. The relevance of the research is determined by the significance of metaphor as a key tool for conceptualizing pedagogical experience and by the insufficient investigation of its concrete realizations in professional methodological literature. The focus is on conceptual metaphors systematized within the framework of cognitive modeling. The study employed the method of continuous sampling of metaphorical expressions from Harmer’s linguodidactic works, the method of conceptual analysis, and the method of cognitive interpretation aimed at identifying and systematizing key metaphorical models and reconstructing the mechanisms of conceptualizing pedagogical experience. The analyzed conceptual metaphors reflect the basic human experience of interacting with the world, which allows abstract pedagogical categories to be comprehended in terms of concrete physical and social activities, thereby revealing their cognitive potential. The multidimensionality of the identified models confirms the thesis that conceptual metaphor is an effective means of creating imagery and shaping the teacher’s professional worldview. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of applying its results for both scientific and educational purposes: when developing theoretical and practical courses on the issues of cognitive linguistics, linguodidactics, and professional discourse interpretation.

Military linguistics as a borderline discipline in linguistics: formation, features, military discourse in the PRC
Abstract
in modern linguistics, military linguistics emerges as a frontier discipline that integrates linguistic and military phenomena. The article examines its formation, beginning with the publication of the work "Military Linguistics," edited by Liu Lin in 1990 at the National Defense University of China, which marked the systematization of this field. The objects of study include the interconnection between military and linguistic phenomena, as well as the characteristics of military verbal communication. The aim of this work is to analyze the evolution of the discipline, its key features, and the specifics of military discourse in China, emphasizing the role of language in military contexts as a tool of communication and tactics. The relevance of the topic is determined by the growing interest in interdisciplinary approaches in linguistics, especially in the context of global military challenges where language influences strategies and operations. The research relies on a combination of universal and particular methods, including theoretical analysis, a review of scientific literature in linguistics, sociology, and military sciences. Publications such as the works of Liu Lin, Diao Yanbin, and contemporary studies on military discourse in China were examined, along with international sources, including Russian articles from "Political Linguistics." The methodology includes diachronic and synchronic analysis of the interaction of social phenomena, as well as the collection and evaluation of materials from academic journals, periodicals, and online resources. To identify patterns, comparative approaches and analyses of linguistic variations in the historical context of wars were applied, with a focus on vocabulary, terminology, and communicative practices. The results demonstrate a close relationship between military and linguistic phenomena: wars contribute to both the differentiation and integration of languages through migrations and cultural blending, while language influences military activity through regional dialects, terminology, and tactics such as psychological warfare. The characteristics of military language were identified in written (regulations, combat documents) and oral (commands, agitation) forms. The study highlights the application of linguistic theories for military purposes, including language tactics for propaganda, negotiations, and codes (ciphers, flag signaling). In China, military linguistics develops through doctoral programs and publications, focusing on multimodal discourse and crisis communication.

Thematic types of nominative units with cultural connotations
Abstract
culturally connotative words are words-realia, the primary meaning of which is usually common to two or more languages, but these words have special additional meanings or co-meanings based on cultural and historical associations. These are usually neutral words, supplemented, however, for a native speaker, by emotional or aesthetic associations. Culturally connotative words prevail in poetry and in works of oral creativity, where their aesthetic function, emotional and allegorical meaning are especially clearly revealed. Nominative units with cultural connotations can be classified according to the subject principle (type of the original nominative meaning) and divided into the following groups: designations of animals, birds, plants, colors, numbers, folklore images, anthroponyms, toponyms and theonyms.

Modern Russian media as key actors in shaping the image of Azerbaijan in Russia's information space in the first quarter of the 21st Century
Abstract
this article is devoted to the analysis of the role of modern Russian media in shaping the image of Azerbaijan in Russia's information space in the first quarter of the 21st century. The work is relevant due to the growing influence of the media on intercultural perception and international relations, which underscores the need for a detailed study of the mechanisms of image creation and dissemination on media platforms. The study substantiates the importance of examining the media as an instrument of shaping the national image, focusing on the transformational processes in the informational field of modern Russia. The author formulates the problem of changing perceptions of Azerbaijan, analyzing the role of the media in the context of political, cultural, and economic relations between countries. The study employs a comprehensive method of comparative analysis, content analysis of publications and programs, as well as semiotic analysis methods to identify the symbolic codes used by the media. The empirical basis of the research includes materials from leading Russian news portals, print publications, and video resources, covering the period from 2001 to 2021. The interdisciplinary approach allowed for a comprehensive assessment of the media's influence on shaping public opinion. The analysis revealed a systematic trend in representing Azerbaijan as a strategically important partner and an object of geopolitical rivalry. The media portray a dual image, where on one hand cultural and historical ties are emphasized, and on the other – focus is placed on economic opportunities and political significance. The data obtained confirm the hypothesis that modern Russian media act as key actors in structuring the international image through framing mechanisms and rhetorical strategies.

The evolution of digital platforms and their impact on traditional business models in China’s media industry in the early 21st century
Abstract
the beginning of the 21st century in China was marked by explosive digitalization of the media industry, where platforms such as WeChat, Weibo, and Douyin disrupted traditional business models based on advertising and subscriptions in print, TV, and radio. The relevance of the study lies in the analysis of competition mechanisms, audience migration, and financial flows driven by network effects and algorithms, which led to a crisis for outdated media and the need for their adaptation under state regulation. The research combines quantitative analysis of secondary data from CNNIC, iResearch, Statista, and company financial reports—including time series of revenue and audience reach—with qualitative content analysis of publications in "Caixin" and "People's Daily," as well as case studies of media project transformations to identify causal relationships. The analysis revealed the growth of digital media’s share in advertising revenue from 14.7% in 2005 to 85.3% in 2025, audience migration (an 86.7% decline in print reach by 2024), and 5–34 times higher engagement on platforms in terms of session duration and interaction, with super apps diversifying revenue through e-commerce and fintech. The discussion emphasizes that platforms have created sustainable ecosystems, turning traditional media into content providers; for survival, a shift toward niche models with unique content and alternative monetization is required, balancing innovation and regulatory challenges for sustainable development.

Features of Li He’s poetics as a representative of Tang poetry
Abstract
the Tang Dynasty is rightfully considered the golden era of Chinese poetry. It was during this period that the fundamental principles and aesthetic ideals that determined the further development of the Chinese poetic tradition were laid. This article is devoted to the features of the poetics of Li He (790-816), an outstanding Chinese poet of the Tang Dynasty, whose work is still insufficiently covered in domestic literature study. Despite his extraordinary talent, he was unable to enter government service due to bureaucratic obstacles. This aggravated his plight and influenced his work. Li He's poetry is distinguished by a dark, fantastic style, saturated with images of death, demons and the other world. He used unusual metaphors, alliterations and assonances, creating a unique, memorable language. Despite his short life, Li He had a significant influence on Chinese poetry, his work was appreciated and studied by subsequent generations of poets. This study aims to fill the gap in understanding the significance of Li He's poetry for Chinese and world literature and to promote further study of his legacy. The work provides a stylistic analysis of Li He's poetic language, revealing some of his characteristic means of expression, as well as motifs and images.

Big data and social media: analysis of key media data phenomena for predicting public opinion
Abstract
in the era of digitalization, big data from social media has become a valuable resource for analyzing and predicting public opinion. This article is devoted to a comprehensive study of key phenomena inherent in media data and their role in building accurate predictive models. The focus is on phenomena such as content virality, the formation of information cascades, the dynamics of network discourses, and the identification of latent topics using thematic modeling methods. We examine in detail how these phenomena, extracted from massive unstructured data (texts, likes, reposts), serve as predictive indicators for assessing moods and trends in society. To this end, we apply a combination of machine learning methods (including sentiment analysis and clustering) and network analysis. In conclusion, the article discusses the potential ethical challenges and limitations associated with the use of big data and suggests possible avenues for the development of this interdisciplinary field of research.

One of the ways of formation of complex words in the modern English language
Abstract
the article focuses on one of the productive methods of enriching modern English vocabulary, namely, on compound derivative attributive-nominal adjectives formed by the pattern – definition + defined word + suffix -ed. The paper outlines the distinctive features of these words, their unifying basic meaning and structure. In particular, it discusses in detail the characteristics of the second nominal (noun) component of these compounds, identifies semantic groups of nouns that actively function as the noun component and highlights the most productive ones. The material for research is the vocabulary extracted through continuous sampling from English-Russian dictionaries and subjected to logical and statistical analysis. The conducted study allows us to conclude that this method of word formation in the English language is not only frequently used but can be recommended as well to learners for expanding and diversifying their vocabulary, as new words can be formed according to a clearly defined model from accessible and widespread (common) words in order to describe people.

Cognitive-pragmatic aspects of discursive hybridity in English-language online consumer reviews of perfumes
Abstract
the object of the presented research is an English-language online consumer review of perfumery products, and the subject of the study is discursive hybridity as a cognitive-pragmatic category presented in this review. The aim of the work is to identify and analyze cases of discursive hybridity based on the existing classification of types of discourse. At the first stage, a sample analysis of representative examples is presented. At the second stage, a targeted selection is presented based on the material of two fragrances (Dior Sauvage and Chanel No. 5 EDP). The selection criteria for the fragrances were their popularity and cultural significance. Primary and secondary representations of discursive types within the review texts are identified. The phenomena of homogeneous and heterogeneous discursive hybridity, as well as the hybridization of pragmatic genres, are described, forming a basis for classifying English-language online reviews of perfumes. Representative examples of discursive types are considered. An analysis of specific cases based on online reviews of two fragrances is presented. For the first time, the classification of discourses was applied to the microgenre of online reviews, which demonstrates its universality. The results of the study indicate that heterogeneous hybridity serves as a powerful pragmatic tool for creating the effect of persuasiveness. The presented analysis model can be used to further study the online review as a microgenre.

The potential of a youth media project in the system of higher media education
Abstract
during the collection and processing of information, a great potential for the use of creative approaches in the creation of a youth media project was revealed, in particular, when studying the courses “Creative Design” and “Techniques for activating creative abilities” of students of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University. The very process of media design, and, in particular, media planning, allows participants to go through a number of stages – initiation, planning, implementation, monitoring and control, completion – each of which has its own meaning and resource provision. As a method of structuring and minimizing the textual volume of information presentation, as well as various ways of collecting, processing and systematizing the collected material, a media project affects a young person’s perception of himself and the world around him. Youth media projects are becoming an important communication tool between various social institutions and the younger generation. In the modern information society, they help to attract the attention of young people and organize their participation in various social, educational and cultural initiatives.

Semantic redundancy and synonymy as characteristic features of non-standard verbal vocabulary
Abstract
the thematic groups of colloquial verbs differ significantly in terms of content from similar groups in the standard language. In the latter case synonymy is possible rather as an exception but not as a rule. In the non-standard domain the asymmetry of signification results in semantic redundancy of non-standard verbs. This redundancy at the level of speech realization is removed due to the textual connections of the word and consituation. In speech situations such features of colloquial units as stylistic simplification, negative /positive assessment and familiar (pejorative, vulgar, etc.) expression are also manifested. The most numerous of the colloquial units are inherent in the most extensive thematic groups, the quantitative composition of which indicates the importance of these concepts for native speakers. The linguistic units of the vernacular vocabulary differ not so much in semantic shades of meaning as in the degree of expressiveness and imagery, thus the speaker refers to the vernacular vocabulary as the most expressive compared to the standard one. Numerous synonymic series indicate that lexical synonymy in the vernacular language is its characteristic phenomenon and constitutes one of its specific features.

The linguistic situation in a multinational constituent entity of the Russian Federation: the functioning of Russian and the languages of the peoples of Dagestan in education and the media
Abstract
this article examines the complex linguistic situation in the Republic of Dagestan as a prime example of a multinational subject of the Russian Federation. It focuses on the functional distribution and interaction of Russian and the languages of the peoples of Dagestan in two key public spheres: education and media. The paper demonstrates that Russian retains its role as a universal means of communication, ensuring civic and interethnic consolidation, as well as access to federal information and educational resources. It also analyzes the current state and prospects of the languages of the peoples of Dagestan, which function primarily in everyday communication, primary education, and regional media. Based on an analysis of current practice, it concludes that functional bilingualism is emerging, characterized by diglossia—the distribution of social functions between languages. The paper identifies the main challenges facing the languages of the peoples of Dagestan, such as the narrowing of their use among the younger generation, and outlines possible ways to support linguistic diversity in the context of globalization.

Internet aesthetics as a new discursive phenomenon: linguistic and cultural analysis of self-expression narratives
Abstract
the article is devoted to the study of the phenomenon of "Internet aesthetics" as a product of digital communication. The object of the analysis is a corpus of 35 names of aesthetics that have become widespread in the English-speaking segment of the Internet. The aim of the work is to identify the linguistic mechanisms of aesthetics formation, classify the cultural narratives underlying them and determine their discursive functions in the context of digital identity construction. In the course of the research, the methods of discourse analysis, linguocultural and structural-semantic analysis were used. The results demonstrate that Internet aesthetics function as complex semiotic constructs that mediate the key collective aspirations and anxieties of modern digital culture through ready-made scenarios of self-expression. The scientific novelty lies in the systematization of an extensive body of aesthetics and the identification of the basic narrative models that they represent.

Derivational potential of recent borrowings (on the example of prepositive formatives over- and uber-) in the Russian media space: linguoculturological aspect
Abstract
the purpose of the study is to present a comprehensive analysis of the derivational potential of the newest borrowings with the prepositive formatives over- and uber- and their functioning in the modern Russian media space from a linguocultural perspective. The article aims to identify word-formation models involving these neo-intensifiers, analyze their productivity and stylistic features, as well as examine how the studied morphemes reflect and shape cultural concepts. The scientific novelty of the material lies in the freshness of the linguistic examples under consideration, as well as in viewing the prepositive formatives over- and uber- as an object of linguocultural analysis, which makes it possible to reveal little-studied mechanisms of word formation and adaptation of the latest borrowings in the texts of the Russian media space. The study has established that word-formation models with neo-intensifiers over- and uber- form a productive class in the modern Russian lexical system, possess the potential for assimilation into the language corpus, are used in mass media materials, and also reflect the cultural and social concepts of contemporary Russian society.

Methods for studying the level of subjectivity among medical college students
Abstract
the creation and implementation of subject-developing professional training at the current stage is the most optimal solution to the tasks set by federal state standards for educational institutions of secondary vocational education. It is the qualitative self-determination and self-realization of the subject of training that can significantly increase the level of competence of the graduate, their motivation for further development, and their commitment to their profession. In order to be successful in subject-developing professional training, it is necessary to have a sufficient level of subjectivity in the students in order to allow them to consciously immerse themselves in the professional environment. This is especially important when training medical professionals, as the profession is specific, complex, and requires a high level of stress and responsibility. Without a desire to develop and learn medicine, it is not possible to obtain a professional education. Object: To determine the initial level of subjectivity of students majoring in nursing at the Irkutsk Basic Medical College in order to use the obtained data in creating a model of subject-developing professional training. Methods: Questionnaire, testing, analysis, synthesis, generalization, which, in their totality, allowed to achieve completeness and complexity in the study of the problem. Findings: It has been established that the determination of such indicators as value orientations, psychological personality traits, internal attitudes, and motivation is informative for determining the level of subjectivity. The article presents the results of using specific psychodiagnostic methods, which allowed us to conclude about the initial level of subjectivity in three categories of students at a medical college with the same specialty. Conclusions: The development of a model for subject-developing professional training at a medical college should be based on the initial level of subjectivity of the students.

Interactive smart technologies as an innovative and technological resource in the structure of speech therapy
Abstract
the article explores the theoretical and practical dimensions of implementing interactive technologies within the modern educational system, with a particular focus on preschool learning. It is emphasized that in the context of educational modernization until 2030, interactive methods play a crucial role. The study highlights the pedagogical contributions of M. Montessori, as well as other prominent educators (K.D. Ushinsky, A.S. Makarenko, J.A. Comenius, V.A. Sukhomlinsky), who emphasized the importance of visual and play-based tools in teaching. Their ideas are shown to resonate in today’s smart technologies, including interactive whiteboards, mobile planetariums, interactive sandboxes, robotics sets, electronic constructors, and digital gaming platforms. The paper presents a functional classification of interactive tools (educational, diagnostic, instrumental, subject-oriented, and others), alongside diverse learning formats (individual, group, frontal, planetary, etc.). Special attention is given to the positive impact of interactive technologies on the development of cognitive processes, such as attention mobilization, information perception, thinking activation, and practical skill formation. The article concludes that effective integration of smart technologies requires professional pedagogical guidance, which not only enhances the quality of the educational process but also supports personality development and the successful social adaptation of learners.

Pedagogical prevention of extremism: the importance of identifying irrational attitudes and the expression of ethnic identity of university students
Abstract
the article analyzes the results of an empirical study of the relationship between irrational attitudes and the severity of ethnic identity as indicators of university students' propensity to extremist manifestations. To identify the relationship between irrational attitudes and the severity of ethnic identity as indicators of university students' propensity to extremist manifestations, we applied a diagnostic tool: A. Ellis's method for diagnosing irrational attitudes; J. Finney's method for measuring the severity of ethnic identity; and Spearman's r-correlation coefficient. The study revealed that attitudes regulating students' social expectations and personal standards have the greatest impact on the characteristics of ethnic self-determination and emotional involvement in an ethnic group, while other irrational attitudes do not play a significant role in these processes. The importance of diagnosing these characteristics of students is associated with the possibility of more effective organization of the university's work on the pedagogical prevention of extremist manifestations among students, since it allows us to identify groups of students most susceptible to extremist ideology; determine sources of tension in the educational environment of the university and the possibilities for their timely elimination; systematically monitor changes in interethnic relations between students; develop effective preventive programs that take into account the cultural characteristics and value orientations of students.

Gaps in domestic legislation in the legal regulation of financial organizations
Abstract
the article analyzes the systemic gaps in the Russian legislation regulating the activities of financial organizations. The author demonstrates that the current legal system is based on a fragmented approach, where individual sectors (banking, insurance, investment) are regulated by disparate special laws. This leads to contradictions in law enforcement, legal uncertainty and an increase in the number of legal disputes, especially in the context of protecting depositors' rights. In addition, despite the formal consolidation of guarantees for individuals, a significant part of legal entities, including participants in the microfinance market and fintech startups, remain outside the zone of legal protection. The key problem is the lack of legally established universal definitions of "financial organization" and "financial service", which creates difficulties in qualifying legal relations. The low level of legal technology, expressed in the redundancy of reference norms and terminological inconsistencies, exacerbates the situation. The digital aspect is becoming particularly acute: regulation of digital systems based on artificial intelligence remains fragmented, which slows down innovation and increases the risks of financial abuse. As a solution, the author suggests a systematic codification of financial legislation through the adoption of the Financial Code. Such a document will make it possible to unify legal norms, establish clear criteria for all market participants and create adaptive mechanisms for regulating digital instruments. It is emphasized that the implementation of these measures is critically important for strengthening confidence in the financial system, ensuring sustainable economic growth and protecting the interests of all stakeholders – from ordinary citizens to institutional investors. The reform of the legal framework can also reduce the regulatory costs of business and increase the competitiveness of the Russian financial sector in a global context.

Evolution of judicial control in the economic sphere: from the supreme arbitrage court to the judicial board for economic disputes of the Supreme Court of the Russian Rederation
Abstract
the article provides comprehensive analysis of evolution of judicial control in economic sphere of Russia through institutional transformations of 2014, resulting in abolition of Higher Arbitration Court of Russian Federation and establishment of Economic Disputes Chamber within Supreme Court of RF structure. The author conducted detailed research of organizational, procedural and functional aspects transformation of highest level of economic justice based on official statistical data for period 2020-2024. Methodological apparatus includes general scientific methods of cognition, special legal methods, statistical analysis of judicial practice. The research reveals mechanisms of unified judicial practice formation after merger of highest judicial instances, analyzes quantitative and qualitative performance indicators of Economic Disputes Chamber of Supreme Court RF. Sustainable trend of growing number of cases considered was identified alongside reduction of judicial staff, leading to 1.7-fold increase of judge workload compared to Higher Arbitration Court RF functioning period. Simultaneously, consistent decrease of reversed judicial acts percentage from 18% to 12% was recorded, indicating improved quality of justice in lower arbitration courts. Structural analysis of considered disputes was conducted, showing prevalence of tax disputes (32%), contractual disputes (21%), corporate disputes (18%), bankruptcy disputes (15%) and disputes involving state participation (14%). The author substantiated that institutional transformations ensured achievement of highest judicial power unity, elimination of contradictions in legal positions of highest judicial instances, optimization of judicial acts review procedures. Problematic aspects of reform were critically evaluated, including increased judicial workload and potential reduction of specialization depth in particular areas of economic law. Research demonstrates Russian judicial system capability for adaptation under external challenges of 2022-2024 period, including sanctions pressure and corporate sector transformation. Scientific novelty of work consists in comprehensive assessment of ten-year functioning period of new model of judicial control in economic sphere based on current statistical data and law enforcement practice analysis. Practical significance of research is determined by possibility of using obtained results for further improvement of economic justice system as strategic priority of state policy in judicial reform sphere. The study reveals that reform of 2014 established foundations of modern economic justice model in Russia. Further development of this model should consider both positive experience of ten-year functioning period and new challenges facing Russian economy and legal system. Effectiveness of economic rights judicial protection constitutes crucial factor for favorable investment climate formation and sustainable economic development of country. Therefore, improvement of economic justice system should be considered strategic priority of state policy in judicial reform area. Ten-year experience of Economic Disputes Chamber of Supreme Court RF functioning demonstrates Russian judicial system capability for adaptation and development under changing conditions of economic turnover and legal regulation requirements.

Ethical and legal problems of the use of artificial intelligence in judicial activity
Abstract
the article examines the complex of ethical and legal problems arising from the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in judicial activities of the Russian Federation. The author analyzes contradictions between the deterministic nature of algorithmic systems and fundamental principles of justice, including judicial independence, equality before the law, and fairness of judicial proceedings. The methodological foundation comprises a comprehensive approach combining formal legal analysis of Russian and foreign legislation with empirical study of pilot projects for digitalization of arbitration courts. The empirical base includes materials on AI technology implementation in Moscow and Moscow Region courts, statistical data from the Judicial Department under the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, expert interviews with representatives of the judicial community and developers of legal information systems. The research reveals critical ethical risks of automating judicial decision-making procedures, problems of algorithmic bias and discrimination, violations of the transparency principle in judicial acts, and uncertainty regarding liability mechanisms for automated system errors. Comparative analysis of international experience in regulating artificial intelligence in justice demonstrates various models of legal support: from complete automation of standard disputes in Estonia to strict limitations on algorithmic tool usage in US criminal proceedings. The author substantiates the concept of phased AI technology implementation while maintaining human control over judicial processes, formulates principles of automation proportionality depending on dispute categories and legal consequences of decisions. A system of regulatory changes is proposed, including adoption of a special federal law on artificial intelligence use in the judicial system, amendments to procedural codes, and creation of institutional mechanisms for monitoring and supervising algorithmic systems. The developed recommendations aim to ensure balance between technological capabilities for improving judicial efficiency and guarantees of constitutional rights protection for fair judicial proceedings.

The category of «legal consciousness» in foreign legal theory: a doctrinal review
Abstract
the paper provides a doctrinal review of the category of "legal consciousness" in foreign legal theory. The author notes that interest in foreign experience is determined by a number of circumstances: the possibility of searching for new solutions to existing problems in the analyzed area; enrichment of the legal doctrine; replenishment of theoretical "baggage" for practical activities. The paper attempts to provide a discrete overview of the category of "legal consciousness" in foreign legal theory using some scientific works as an example. Based on the results of the study, a number of conclusions have been made. In particular, it has been noted that the main modern areas of foreign research into legal consciousness are reduced to the following areas: the influence of social experience on the formation of legal consciousness; identifying mechanisms for interpreting legal norms in people's consciousness; taking into account the role of legal ideas in childhood and adolescence on the formation of consciousness of the law; establishing the relationship between the legal system and the formation of legal consciousness; studying the attitude of various social groups to the law. An analysis of foreign literature shows that the basis for the formation of "normal" legal consciousness is the legal system. The observation of those scientists who argue that legal consciousness is not a static category is correct. It is proposed to consider legal consciousness in two planes using foreign studies as an example: through an empirical variable and as a certain component of the legal system. It seems correct to assert that the stability of legal consciousness can be achieved by the following: clarity of legal norms and laws; strict observance of the law; ensuring the protection of the individual; inevitability of responsibility.

The functions of the legal positions of international courts in Russian criminal law
Abstract
considering the changes in the geopolitical landscape and the foreign policy of the Russian Federation, this study examines the legal validity and functions of legal positions adopted by international courts and tribunals as reflected in their decisions. Based on provisions from international and domestic criminal law and the practice of international judicial bodies, the author concludes that legal positions of international courts regarding Russian criminal law are legally binding if the decision of the relevant international court is enforceable on the Russian Federation and based on international legal norms that do not conflict with the Constitution of the Russian Federation.. The legal positions of international courts within the Russian criminal legal system serve two significant functions: predictive and clarificatory. These functions involve determining and elucidating the procedures for implementing the tenets of international criminal law, as well as delineating the nature of specific elements of international crimes.

Public-legal responsibility of the state for unlawful control and supervision in the field of entrepreneurship
Abstract
the article examines the problem of public legal responsibility of the state for unlawful control and supervision in the field of entrepreneurial activity. The purpose of the work is to identify systemic contradictions in the regulatory framework, analyze the practice of their application, as well as evaluate the effectiveness of existing guarantees for business protection. The research is based on a comprehensive approach that includes an analysis of the provisions of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, the Code of Administrative Procedure of the Russian Federation, and Federal Law No. 248-FZ "On State Control (Supervision) and Municipal Control in the Russian Federation." Special attention is paid to specific articles regulating the issues of compensation for harm and procedural appeal, which makes it possible to identify weaknesses and uncertainties in law enforcement practice. The article uses statistical data from the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, which gives the study an empirical basis and confirms the conclusions about the extent of persistent violations. The results of the analysis show that the existing model of pre-trial and judicial appeals, as well as existing mechanisms for compensation for harm, do not always ensure timely restoration of violated rights of entrepreneurs. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of using its findings to improve legislation, including clarifying standards for the admissibility of control measures, consolidating presumptions of causation and flexibly regulating the pre-trial appeal procedure. This will improve the balance of interests between the state and business, improve the investment climate and strengthen trust in the legal system.

Public danger of crime and criminal sanctions (on the example of countering group crime)
Abstract
group crime is traditionally characterized by increased public danger. Criminal law norms reflect the increased public danger of a group crime by establishing qualifying and especially qualifying features. This article analyzes the length of imprisonment for group crimes and identifies controversial aspects in the differentiation of punishment for jointly committed crimes. It is noted that the balance between differentiation and individualization of punishment is an important guarantee of the principle of justice. The article argues for a differentiated approach to establishing punishment for various forms of complicity. It is proposed to classify only serious and particularly serious crimes as acts committed by an organized group, as well as to increase the penalties for committing crimes in various group formations in proportion to the main crime.
