About the types of classification verbs of speaking in English and Russian
Abstract
the article discusses issues related to the history of the types of classification of speaking verbs in English and Russian. This paper examines the scientific literature concerning the verbs of speech in English and Russian. Due to the heterogeneity of this group of verbs, its classification presents certain difficulties. They come down to distinguishing the verbs of speech. Linguists were engaged in the study of this problem. It is noted that the verbs of speech in both languages are united by the equivalence of their classical meanings and the sphere of use. There is a commonality of the leading verbs of speech in both languages. In the analyzed works of researchers, there are some fluctuations regarding the place, role, and types of classification of speaking verbs in these languages. There is a lack of unity in the linguistic definition of the verbs of speech. A number of scientists consider the semantics of speech verbs, others – the lexico-semantic groups of these verbs, and others study speech verbs as a semantic field.

Features of the functioning of complex sentences in S.A. Yesenin’s lyrics 1, 2 Karimov Hikmatbek Anvar ugli,
Abstract
the article examines the syntactic features of the lyrics of S. A. Yesenin, one of the most original poets of the "Silver Age." The study focuses on the analysis of complex sentences, which play an important role in the structure of his poetic speech. A complex sentence is studied not only as a grammatical unit but also as an element of the artistic method that determines the musicality, imagery, and emotional intensity of the poetic text. Special attention is given to two main types of complex sentences—compound and complex subordinate constructions. The article identifies the functioning of coordinating, adversative, and disjunctive conjunctions in compound sentences, as well as analyzes their role in shaping the rhythmic and intonational pattern of the text. It is shown that Yesenin predominantly uses a limited set of conjunctions (and, but, while), which become the most important expressive means, forming the integrity of the artistic image and enhancing the emotional effect. In complex subordinate sentences, attributive, object, and adverbial clauses are analyzed, each performing its own artistic and semantic function. Attributive clauses specify and concretize poetic images, object clauses allow the inner world of the lyrical hero to be revealed, while adverbial clauses create temporal, causal, and conditional relations that give the text depth and multidimensionality.

Representation of blood kinship in English and Kumyk phraseological units
Abstract
this article explores the representation of blood kinship in English and Kumyk linguocultures based on the material of phraseological units. The main objective of the work is to identify the linguocultural features of phraseological units that verbalize femininity in English and Russian cultures. The relevance of the study is due to the need to study and compare the phraseological representation of kinship relations in English and Kumyk languages. This will reveal the universal and unique features of the phraseological objectification of blood relations in the English and Kumyk linguistic cultures. The study analyzed 400 phraseological units in English and Kumyk, selected using a continuous sampling method from phraseological dictionaries. For the first time, a comparative analysis of English and Kumyk phraseological units showed that the mother is the center of the family in both cultures. The first comparative analysis of English and Kumyk phraseological units showed that the mother is the center of the family in both linguistic cultures, and the image of the father in English phraseology is associated with authority and support, while in Kumyk phraseology it is associated with continuity on the one hand and alienation on the other.

Analysis of Putin's speeches on Defender of the Fatherland Day within the framework of the theory of linguistic personality
Abstract
Vladimir Putin's speeches on Defender of the Fatherland Day represent a key discursive tool for consolidating Russia's national identity, military mobilization, and ideological positioning. Based on Y. N. Karaulov's three-level theory of linguistic personality (verbal-semantic, linguocognitive, pragmatic levels) combined with corpus linguistics and critical discourse analysis, the article examines the texts of speeches from 2012-2024. The results reveal systemic language strategies, including: high-frequency use of the pronoun "we" to construct a collective identity. Rhetorical patterns (parallelisms, historical allusions, rhetorical questions) that enhance emotional impact. The evolution of discourse in response to geopolitical challenges: from historical heritage (2012-2013) to anti-terrorist rhetoric (2014-2021) and the paradigm of "survival" in the context of special operations (2022-2024).

Intercultural communication and the specifics of translation of BRICS official documents
Abstract
this article analyzes the role of translation in intercultural communication within the BRICS cooperation framework. It examines the concept of intercultural communication, its types, forms, and the conflicts that arise during communication. Particular attention is paid to translation as a key factor in intercultural communication. The paper also presents an analysis of the specifics and challenges identified in translating BRICS documents. The relevance of this work stems from the fact that the BRICS alliance currently wields enormous influence on the international stage. Each BRICS member possesses significant political and economic influence, and their cooperation opens up new opportunities for each member. Since intercultural communication is an essential part of understanding and resolving international issues, and BRICS cooperation continues to influence global development, analyzing the role of translation in BRICS communication is more relevant than ever. Effective translation of diplomatic documents requires not only linguistic knowledge but also a deep understanding of the cultural and political context, as well as mastery of translation strategies. The identified examples of various types of translation transformations demonstrated that high-quality translation requires a high degree of accuracy, adherence to the norms of the target language, and consideration of cultural specifics. Moreover, the translator is not only a means of transformation from one language to another but also a full-fledged participant and mediator in the communication process.

Duality and splitting of characters in the original version of L. Andreev's play ‘To the stars’
Abstract
the article analyzes the mechanisms of duality and character splitting in the original version of Leonid Andreev's play "To the Stars". The primary focus is on the dyad of Pyotr Ternovsky (Verkhovtsev in early drafts) and Valentin Verkhovtsev, interpreted as the result of an artistic splitting of a single archetype that originates from Pyotr Verkhovensky in F.M. Dostoevsky's novel "Demons". The intertextual connection with Dostoevsky's novel is examined, alongside the transformation of the ideological component: whereas Dostoevsky's Verkhovensky embodies a destructive force, Andreev's conflict between the "doubles" lacks clear-cut moral definition and mirrors the author's own philosophical uncertainties. It is argued that Pyotr Ternovsky and Valentin Verkhovtsev become vehicles for two opposing worldviews (Schopenhauerian pessimism vs. active Nietzschean protest), between which Andreev himself, as evidenced by his diaries and letters, could not make a definitive choice. Thus, the character splitting serves as a means of artistically rendering the author's internal dialogue and his doubts about Russia's path during the tumultuous era of 1905. The theme of duality is presented not merely as a literary device but also as a reflection of a profound existential crisis within the creative individual.

Features of the implementation of oneiric poetics as a model of two-worlds in the works of O. Arefieva
Abstract
this study provides an analytical substantiation of the specific features of oneiric poetics within the context of romantic dual-worlds, as exemplified by the texts of O. Arefieva. The research focuses on identifying and contrasting two distinct modalities of the dream motif, manifested in the song lyrics "Then One Night I Became a Dog" («Так однажды ночью я стал собакой») and "N". In the former text, the author constructs a oneiric situation linked to the resolution of internal conflicts, portrayed through animalistic metamorphosis. In the latter, the oneiric state gives rise to a postmodernist ironic delirium, reflecting an escape from reality. The author's distinctive techniques for artistically shaping the chronotope of sleep and related oneiric states are identified, along with the semantic dimension of the dual-world opposition between dream and reality. It is established that Arefieva's oneiro-poetics, synthesizing the romantic tradition of dual worlds and postmodern irony, serves not only to form the "reality-dream" opposition but also to articulate the conflict between a person's inner and outer nature. The study demonstrates that through immersion in an oneiric reality, the lyrical protagonist either attains a path to self-cognition and symbolic freedom or encounters an absurd farce that negates the search for meaning. In both instances, a fundamental juxtaposition of reality and dream is evident: in "Then One Night...", although reality is perceived as a coherent picture, it is experienced by the lyrical subject as empty, who yearns to return to the dream. In "N", the modality of oneiric delirium becomes a means of transcending the protagonist's oppressive existence, allowing him to live a vivid and fulfilling life within the dream.

Vietnam's 'mute register': the language barrier and the crisis of representation in G. Greene's novel 'The Quiet American'
Abstract
the article is devoted to the analysis of Graham Greene's novel The Quiet American (1955) as a work about the fundamental difficulty of understanding a foreign culture. The central focus of the research is the linguistic and cultural barrier between the Western characters and the Vietnamese reality, which is deliberately portrayed as an “unreadable” text. Through the character of Phuong and other Vietnamese figures, the writer demonstrates how their “muteness” and “impenetrability” to Western perception provoke the characters of Fowler and Pyle to forcibly impose their own projections and romanticized narratives onto them. The article argues that the conflict transcends political disagreements, becoming a metaphor for a crisis of representation and cognition. The genre structure of the novel is examined, where Fowler's narrative is revealed not only as a detective story but also as a confession addressed to an external listener-reader.

German publicistic discourse: historical stages of its formation
Abstract
this article is devoted to a comprehensive study of the causes and prerequisites for the multifaceted nature of German publicistic discourse from a diachronic perspective. The study covers the period from the 19th to the 21st centuries and is based on an analysis of materials from German newspapers and magazines of various subject areas. It is revealed that the linguistic diversity of German journalistic discourse (GJD) is determined by the interaction of cultural factors (the influence of intercultural communication), sociolinguistic factors (reflecting the peculiarities of communication in various social groups in Germany), and linguistic factors proper (intralinguistic changes determined by the functional needs of discourse). Empirical data demonstrate that speech activity in this communicative space is characterized by pronounced stratification conditioned by the historical, social, and cultural features of the development of German society, as well as by strict normative regulation implemented through the mechanisms of sociolinguistic and stylistic coding. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of linguistic means used to create expressiveness, persuasiveness, and influence on the audience in various historical periods. The results of the study can be used in the practice of teaching German, discourse theory, sociolinguistics, and cultural studies. The analysis revealed key trends in the evolution of public relations, such as the transition from the formal style of the 19th century to a more democratic and multimedia-enabled discourse in the 21st century, reflecting global sociocultural shifts. These findings highlight the importance of an interdisciplinary approach for further studying journalistic practices in the context of contemporary digital communication challenges.

The genre of curse in Chechen folklore (genre and poetic features)
Abstract
the article is devoted to the study of the curse genre ("sardam") in Chechen folklore, which has remained poorly studied in the scientific literature to date. Based on field materials, folklore records and analysis of oral folklore, the author examines the genre and poetic features of "sardam", identifies its functions and transformations in different historical periods. The curse is presented as one of the most ancient aphoristic microgenres, which reflects magical ideas, emotional expression and cultural values of the Chechen people. Particular attention is paid to the connection of curses with traditional beliefs and their rethinking after the adoption of Islam. The author classifies curses into thematic groups, shows their structural and poetic diversity, and also notes their symbolic content and connection with key ethnocultural concepts ("earth", "darkness", "happiness", "disease", etc.). The article argues that despite the weakening of belief in the effectiveness of curses, the genre retains its significance as a cultural phenomenon and an expression of the national mentality, emotional life and artistic skill of Chechens.

The problems of forming a holistic worldview of students in the context of the modern educational paradigm
Abstract
in the context of rapid transformation of the socio-cultural landscape, there is a profound shift in the educational matrix, where the human essence is increasingly reduced to a utilitarian set of skills, unconditionally subordinated to the imperatives of technological expansion and economic feasibility. Key changes are manifested in the devaluation of personal potential and the transformation of education into an instrumental mechanism for the formation of a highly specialized professional agent capable of integrating into existing production algorithms as effectively as possible. The rhetoric of individual development gives way to the pragmatic logic of market trends, where knowledge is assessed exclusively through the prism of potential monetization and compliance with current technological standards. Such a reductionist paradigm of education acts as a sophisticated mechanism of cultural erosion, consistently dismantling the fundamental humanistic foundations of human existence. The personality is transformed into an amorphous simulacrum, devoid of existential depth and the ability to self-transcendence. The moral-anthropological space is subject to systematic destruction, where critical abilities, empathy and reflexivity are labeled as excess ballast.

The principle of interdisciplinary approach in the program of professional retraining in the basics of oligophrenopedagogy
Abstract
in educational activities, attention is increasingly being paid to the interdisciplinary nature of teaching. This principle is particularly relevant in the training of teachers. With the introduction of inclusive education, mass educational institutions have begun to teach children with intellectual disabilities. However, faced with real methodological and psychological challenges, teachers have found themselves in a situation of "professional stagnation." While teachers of Russian or mathematics have a strong command of their subject, they face a range of professional difficulties in teaching Russian or mathematics to children with developmental challenges. For teachers who implement educational activities according to adapted programs for students with intellectual disabilities, the Institute of Education Development offers a professional retraining program "Fundamentals of олигофренопедагогики". The content of the program is structured in such a way that allows teachers to acquire knowledge and competencies in various related disciplines. The article provides a description of the mechanism for implementing the principle of interdisciplinarity, using the example of a professional retraining program. Disciplines with different focuses, such as pedagogy, psychology, medicine, psychopathology, and defectology, have their own goals, objectives, and focus. However, they are united by the science of oligophrenopedagogy, which serves as the leading and holistic mechanism for implementing professional activities.

An approach to assessing the professional potential of students of higher military educational institutions
Abstract
the article is devoted to the development of a methodology for assessing the professional potential of students at higher military educational institutions, taking into account time costs and the applied teaching technologies. Based on an interdisciplinary analysis, the concept of professional potential in relation to military activities is clarified, its structural components and development factors are identified. An adapted economic model is proposed (a modification of the J. Mintzer equation), in which the level of mastery of professional skills is used instead of wages, and the variables are the time of theoretical and practical training. The advantage of practice-oriented training using the T.P. Wright learning curve to optimize the number of training sessions is proven. The methodology allows assessing the effectiveness of training military specialists and optimizing training programs.

Features of sensimotor response in 9-11 year old children engaged in canoeing
Abstract
the effectiveness of sports training in kayak rowing largely depends on considering the individual-typological characteristics of the central nervous system (CNS) of young athletes. These characteristics influence reaction speed, movement coordination, and resilience to physical and psycho-emotional stress, which is especially important at the initial training stage. The study involved 20 children aged 9-11 engaged in kayak rowing. The assessment of CNS functional state included measuring simple and complex visual-motor reaction times, attention stability, and rhythmic abilities. Based on the obtained data, personal training trajectories were developed, taking into account individual differences among athletes. Development of coordination abilities in young 15-16-year-old athletes specializing in kickboxing
Abstract
this study is devoted to the problem of increasing the effectiveness of the educational and training process in martial arts, using the example of kickboxing, which is solved based on the emphasized development of coordination abilities. While studying the results of scientific research by leading practitioners aimed at improving the effectiveness of the training process in kickboxing, we found no description of effective approaches to the development of coordination abilities in the training process of young men aged 15-16 years. We consider it relevant to develop means and methods of developing coordination abilities adapted for a given age and type of martial arts. Based on an analytical review of scientific, educational, and methodological literature, as well as a generalization of personal coaching experience, a training process was built that made it possible to achieve the predicted results, with the specification of tasks and the selection of appropriate means and methods for developing the coordination abilities of young kickboxers. Based on it, a program of specially selected exercises aimed at improving coordination qualities in kickboxing was developed and experimentally substantiated. The conducted pedagogical research allowed us to establish reliably significant improvements in the studied indicators. The results of the pedagogical research revealed that the targeted selection of specialized tools that consider the specifics of the sport and the age of those involved is a crucial factor in the reliable development of spatial orientation, balance, reproduction of spatial and temporal parameters of movement and sense of rhythm in young kickboxers.

Planning of special physical training in equestrian sports (specialization "show jumping") in the long-term training process
Abstract
the article presents an updated version of the special physical training program for equestrians at the training stage of the first and second years. The development of equestrian sports currently requires a qualitative modernization of the methodological and scientific-technical base to improve the effectiveness of the training process, especially in terms of the content of individual sections of the sports training programs. The objective selection of training tools and methods, as well as the determination of the volume and intensity of physical activity, is crucial for the implementation of these aspects. The implementation of planning for a multi-year training process in equestrian sports must necessarily include a set of forms of control and evaluation, as only taking into account the timely identified deviations in the parameters of the training process allows athletes to master the program material more effectively and improve the level of competitive performance. This requires a systematic analysis of the implementation of training plan objectives and the results of competition performance. The data obtained during the study allow us to discuss new options for planning special physical training in the long-term training process in show jumping, which meet the current requirements for the level of athlete's preparedness.

Theoretical and methodological bases for the development of critical thinking in adolescents: philosophical, psychological, and pedagogical aspects
Abstract
based on an analysis of recent domestic studies and our own empirical data (26 adolescent students), we reveal the structure of critical thinking as a complex education that includes cognitive, reflective, and communicative components. Its development cannot be reduced to the formation of logical operations alone: reflection skills, the ability to verify the reliability of information, readiness for reasoned dialogue, and educational motivation are also necessary. The study uses a set of diagnostic techniques (the Lippmann test, A.V. Karpov's reflectivity questionnaire, the technique developed by Yu.F. Gushchin and N.V. Smirnova, etc.), as well as group work with elements of case analysis and discussion. The results showed that the most effective approach is a combination of argumentation tasks, training in working with information, and reflection. The importance of activity-based forms of learning (educational discussions, project work) and the role of pedagogical support are emphasized. The conclusions can be used in educational practice, as well as in the development of functional literacy programs.

The variety and choice of methodological approaches for the development of the physical qualities of an employee of the internal affairs bodies in physical training classes
Abstract
this article presents the results of a study on the impact of physical inactivity on the health and professional activities of employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation. It has been established that a decrease in physical activity in the conditions of modern civilization is a risk factor for the development of cardiovascular diseases. The expediency of using comprehensive physical activity programs, including the use of strength training and fitness devices, for the prevention of these diseases, improving mental and physical condition and improving professional performance is substantiated. In particular, an approach to building differentiated physical training programs for police officers is presented, aimed at optimizing the development of lagging physical qualities and minimizing the risk of overloads. The methodology involves the use of test results to determine the optimal parameters of the training load (volume, intensity, specific exercises, pace, resistance). The tactics of using various types of physical exercises depending on the level of physical fitness are described: cyclic loads of varying intensity stages of training of employees with different levels, and strength training for the development of muscle strength. It is noted that differentiation is a dynamic process determined by individual adaptive capabilities. The main directions of physical training aimed at maintaining an optimal level of functional capabilities have been identified.

Abstract
current and significant problems of higher school pedagogy include organizational forms of education, the content of academic disciplines, as well as methods for developing students' general cultural competencies in the classroom. Organizational forms are determined by the lecture-seminar system of higher education, the content of disciplines is determined by the peculiarities of the educational trajectory and program. The teaching tools consider methods of developing, in particular, critical and logical thinking, communication, solving the tasks of forming general cultural competencies – a system of basic skills, as well as personal qualities necessary for a specialist in the future for self-realization and professional growth. The purpose of the study is to study the satisfaction of students with the forms of education and the content of classes in pedagogy, the teacher's use of techniques for the development of general cultural competencies. The study involved 104 2nd-year students of the Faculty of Clinical Psychology at St. Petersburg State Medical University. An analysis of the research results shows that some of the students – 85 people (81.7%) – are satisfied with the forms of education, the content of the discipline and the methods of developing their universal competencies.; 7 respondents (6.7%) noted that they are satisfied with the forms of teaching pedagogy and its content, but noted that this discipline should not pay attention to the development of competencies, as it is a very complex science. Another part of the sample – 12 respondents (11.5%) – stated that they were not satisfied with the forms of education and the content of classes in pedagogy, in the opinion of students, it lacks a practical focus, they are not satisfied with the methods of working with them. Thus, 12 people (11.5%) are dissatisfied with both the forms of education and the content of classes in pedagogy, while 19 people (18.3%) are dissatisfied with the methods of developing general cultural competencies. The results indicate the need to change approaches to training future specialists, not only in terms of developing their general cultural competencies, but also in terms of forms of education and increasing the practical focus of pedagogy classes.

On the relevance of the electronic form of a classical textbook and its requirements from a technical point of view
Abstract
portals with electronic books have become widespread. Educational institutions are connected to electronic libraries where such educational materials are presented. This is a requirement of both time and Federal laws. But how much demand is there for the electronic textbook format in education from the point of view of the participants in the educational process themselves? And what should such a textbook be? Is it just a scan, an independent electronic resource with multimedia, or an intermediate option? The issue is quite serious. The answer will make it possible to understand in which direction electronic libraries should work and of what quality, from a technical point of view, educational content should be provided. Based on an analysis of the literature and a survey of teachers and students, this article concludes that the electronic version of the textbook is one of the important but auxiliary teaching tools. Nevertheless, schools and universities should provide access to electronic publications to their students. Moreover, publications of a certain technical quality.

Increasing the adaptive potential and strengthening the health of medical university students by means of physical education
Abstract
of particular interest is the problem of students' adaptation to study at a medical university. The large dropout rate of first-year students, the decrease in the quality of educational activities, show that the adaptation of yesterday's students is taking place with considerable difficulties. Therefore, higher education, especially in large cities, faces the important task of finding effective approaches that facilitate the adaptation of first-year students to university studies. The analysis of scientific literature has shown that the process of students' adaptation to learning is influenced by various factors. The combination of all factors causes overexertion not only of the physical, but also of the mental sphere of first-year students, which can lead to maladaptation.
