The paper discusses the problems of graphics, vocabulary and world-building, communication and culture of the emerging style of electronic speech analyzing materials of Russian and English. The methods of analysis include stylistic and lexicological approaches to the language material. The goal of the paper is to highlight and discuss the linguistic and rhetorical characteristics of electronic speech. The conclusions sum up the characteristic traits of the speech under study.

The article deals with the techniques of translating Zecchino d’oro songs from Italian into Russian. Poetic translation involves recreating the semantic and cultural content of the original using the resources of the target language. The authors define and analyze the techniques of translating the Italian songs into Russian, as well as justify the choice of translation transformations to achieve an adequate translation.

For 100 years since signing the Trianon Treaty (1920) the Hungarian minority in Slovakia has been leaving in a foreign state and has begun to develop some features caused by the interference of the Slovak language. Such features can be seen at the phonological, morphological, syntactic and lexical levels. The main borrowings from the Slovak language are observed at the lexical level, in the form of direct and indirect borrowings. Loan-calques are also common. Borrowings at the morphological and syntactic levels are not so numerous, but they exist and will probably continue to be recorded.

The article focuses on the problem of delacunization while translating almost any literary text. The specific objective of this study is to identify ways to eliminate lacunae of various types used by V. Nabokov in his bilingual autobiography which is considered to be among the most iconic examples in the history of self-translation. The correlation of the concepts of “realia” and “lacuna” common in modern translation studies is analyzed, in connection with which the methodological basis of the study is the linguistic theory of realities and the theory of lacuna model proposed by Jurij Sorokin and his students.

The article concerns the manifestation of the economy principle in the language of the Italian media, elaborates on the analytical tendencies in Italian, explores the analytical word forms such as “Noun+Noun”, “Verb+Noun” and “Adjective + Noun” compounds as well as the adaptation of the anglicisms. It posits that the abuse of this kind of neologisms in the media frequently leads to terminological confusion. In conclusion, we emphasize the importance of the economy principle for the development of the language.

The interest of scientists and literary critics in the phenomenon of space is due to the need for scientific analysis of the spatial characteristics of a literary text. The term locus is often used, which has a hierarchical structure and can be metaphorically represented in the form of matrjoshka. The author of the article identifies the locus of the crime scene, which is the central genre-forming element of the detective genre. It is the hierarchical structure of the locus that allows us to build a verbal model of the space of a modern German detective novel, which has a “pulsating” character: the space expands from the crime scene to the scale of the country or European and world space and narrows again to the crime scene.

Globalization processes find their expression in various institutional spheres, including in the space of social communications, the use of which largely determines the linguistic landscape of the country. Today there is a transition from the era of global bilingualism to the era of global multilingualism. Hence, the linguistic situation in the Maghreb countries is of great interest. The research shows the influence of cultural-historical, sociocultural and institutional factors on the interaction of minority, heritage languages, and the language of the titular nation using the example of Algeria.

The article provides a classification of aggression, determines the correlation between the terms “aggression” and “destructive behavior”. System-forming signs of destructive behavior have been established. An algorithm for describing destructive behavior on the basis of mass media texts posted on the Internet is proposed. Three types of destructive behavior are described: gaslighting, abuse, triangulation.

The article is devoted to the description of the main phonetic (segmental and suprasegmental levels) errors in the German speech of Russian bilinguals, which are a consequence of the interference of the Russian language. To denote the harmful “traces” of interference at the phonetic level, the author chooses the term “deviations”, which precisely defines the essence of deviations from the phonetic norm of the learned language arising from interference. The emerging deviant phenomena in the German speech of Russian-speaking students in articulatory language are described. intonation and rhythmic levels of the German language. The author emphasizes the idea that, in addition to imitative exercises, for the assimilation of the intonation-rhythmic base of the studied language, an analysis and understanding of the essence of the differences between the articulation bases of the native and the studied languages is necessary. To form stable phonetic skills, the author proposes to expand the grid of hours of the practical phonetics course.

The issue of translating the titles of films released in another country in a language different from the original language deserves the attention of both translation theorists and practitioners and can become the subject of interdisciplinary research due to various factors influencing translation. The article examines both linguistic reasons that influence the translation of film titles, as well as extralinguistic ones.

The article focuses on the phenomenon of success from the viewpoint of sociocultural approach performed in studies in this country and abroad. The aim of the research is to assess the ratio of internal and external axiological components comprising the phenomenon by means an in-depth semi-structured interview. The following methods were exploited to process the obtained data: dense description, condensation of meaning, content analysis, and conceptual analysis. The interpretation of the phenomenon under investigation appeared to demonstrate a dichotomy. On the one hand, success was shown to measure the level of appreciation of one’s activity and its results; on the other, one’s the position in society is indicated by means of success.
