The presentation and emergence of the thesis “I did not accept Tolstoy’s faith” in the worldview system of L. Andreev
Abstract
the article analyzes the reception of the thesis “He did not accept Tolstoy’s faith” in studies on Leonid Andreyev’s works. The author examines the emergence and peculiarities of how this thesis has been quoted and interpreted in the research of scholars and critics (L.A. Iezuitova, N.V. Skorokhod, L.N. Afonin, N.N. Fatov, V.V. Brusyanin). The study concludes with an interpretation of the thesis in the context of Andreyev’s philosophical and religious worldview.

To the problem of the middle voice in the Surselvan language
Abstract
this article offers an analysis of the development of the middle voice system in Surselvan, accompanied by a series of transformations, during which the following changes occur: in the 17th century, unstressed clitic object pronominal forms, both direct and indirect, disappear from the Surselvan language, stressed forms appear, used in emphatic and unemphatic phrases; the particle se-, a reflex of the Latin se, increasingly diverges from the irreflexive object pronouns with which it originally alternated; ordinary pronouns and se- tend to differentiate, which is manifested in the spread of se- from the third to the first and second persons. As a result, the language has only one undifferentiated unstressed form for all persons and numbers. In Surselvan and some related dialects of Rhaeto-Romance, se- is attached to the verb as a prefix; se-, as a result of changes in the language, began to perform the function of a reflexive marker. In Surselvan, the particle se- also functions as a marker of the middle voice in a number of different types of verbs. Similar uses of the middle voice are found in texts from the 17th and 18th centuries. That is, the development of the middle voice in Surselvan preceded the appearance of texts. The results of the proposed study may be interesting and useful for students of language theory, and can also be used in compiling grammars of the Surselvan language for comparative-historical reconstructions.

The influence of social media language on everyday speech: analysis of memes, hashtags, and neologisms in the context of evening shows
Abstract
this research aims to identify linguistic mechanisms and communicative functions of memes, hashtags, and neologisms actively used in evening television shows, as well as to analyze their impact on the everyday speech of Russian-speaking users. The article examines the lexico-semantic and pragmatic features of media discourse, particularly the translation of internet vocabulary through television and its subsequent adaptation in everyday communication. Within the theoretical model “Media as a Generator of Linguistic Innovations”, linguistic units such as stable memes, contextual hashtags, and situational neologisms have been identified and analyzed. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that, for the first time, the influence of social media language practices on the speech behavior of a wide audience has been systematically described using the material of current television media discourse. The study found that elements borrowed from the digital environment not only perform the functions of actualization and audience engagement but also contribute to the transformation of speech norms, expanding the boundaries of modern linguistic and cultural space.

Grammatical features of the Sicilian and Neapolitan dialects based on song lyrics
Abstract
the article deals with the features of dialects based on the lyrics of Italian singers. The problem of the study is that the dialects of the Italian language differ so much from each other that people from different regions of the same country do not always understand each other correctly, and this misunderstanding can lead to a language conflict. The research studies the grammatical features of the Sicilian and Neapolitan dialects using the lyrics of Italian singers from each dialect. The research methodology includes a review of the works of Russian and Italian researchers on the topic, such as those by M. Meyden, B. Migliorini, A. Varvaro, M.Yu. Desyatova, and G. Casillo. The main method used in the study is descriptive. Comparative, analytical, and legal analysis methods were also employed.

Illocutionary modality of politeness in the pragmatics of speech acts: apology as a form of self corrective verbal behavior
Abstract
the article examines the issues of the pragmalinguistic nature of the speech act of apology in English discourse, revealing its complex illocutionary structure and communicative orientation. The specific features of expressing the modality of politeness in English language verbal behavior are highlighted; lexical grammatical and discursive means ensuring the reparative and etiquette function of the apology act are analyzed. Genre, institutional and sociolinguistic variations of apology formulas are demonstrated, including formal, informal and mediatized contexts, as well as gender differences in their use. The research methodology is based on corpus analysis, pragmalinguistic, semantic functional and discourse approaches, which allows for the systematization of strategies for mitigating illocutionary threat and restoring communicative balance. The results contribute to the expansion of theoretical concepts of the modality of politeness and to the deeper analysis of speech etiquette in English philology.

Ideologemes in the far-right political Internet discourse in the USA: a linguistic analysis
Abstract
the article examines the linguistic features of far-right political internet discourse in the United States. The focus is on key ideologemes – nationalism, anti-globalism, traditionalism, anti-immigrant rhetoric, antisemitism, and anti-vaccine narratives. Particular attention is paid to their expression through emotionally charged language, memes, metaphors, and rhetorical constructions. Using discourse and content analysis, the study explores the platform-specific conditions that contribute to the virality of radical ideas. It also analyzes counter-discourses aimed at deconstructing far-right rhetoric. The article demonstrates how linguistic strategies reinforce polarization and suggests approaches to counteract radicalization in the digital environment.

Evolution of the concept of «the black colour» in Chinese linguoculture
Abstract
this study explores the evolution of the concept of the COLOUR BLACK in Chinese linguoculture. Colour symbolism plays a significant role in the Chinese worldview, reflecting the influence of philosophical doctrines, ritual practices, and cultural traditions. The aim of the research is to identify the linguistic representations of the key features of the concept of the COLOUR BLACK and to trace their dynamics in historical and cultural contexts. The material used includes Chinese historical sources, fixed expressions, corpus data, and lexicographic materials. The analysis revealed two groups of features: those that have lost their relevance and those that remain actively used in modern Chinese. The latter group is further divided into elements rooted in ancient cultural traditions and newly formed meanings that have emerged under the influence of intercultural communication. The study demonstrates that the semantic field of the colour black in Chinese linguoculture is shaped by religious, philosophical, political, and sociocultural factors, reflecting a complex and multi-layered structure of national conceptual consciousness.

Georg Heym in the translations of Kyiv neoclassicists: on the history of early reception of expressionism in the USSR
Abstract
this article examines the publication of works by the German poet and prose writer Georg Heym (1887-1912), which was carried out in the Ukrainian language in 1925 by the Kyiv publishing house "Slovo". The initiative was undertaken by three writers belonging to the group of "Neoclassicists": V.P. Petrov (1894-1969), M.F. Rylsky (1895-1964), and O.F. Burghardt (1891-1947). In their translations, Burghardt, Petrov, and Rylsky attempted to develop the melodic possibilities of the Ukrainian language while conveying Heym's anti-aesthetic style, seeing in him a continuation of the French Symbolists. The material for the study included the publication of G. Heym's book and other publications by individuals involved in its preparation; literary-critical materials on Expressionism from Russian and Ukrainian periodicals of the period under investigation; and historical-bibliographic studies of the book industry in the Ukrainian SSR during the 1920s. Comparative-historical and comparative-stylistic methods were used. The book is examined in the context of the publishing industry and the censorship restrictions of the era. This publication represents an interesting chapter in the history of the reception of avant-garde art in the USSR and has not been accounted for or described in scholarly literature until now.

General terminology for water transport vessel nominations based on the English, French and Russian languages
Abstract
the article analyzes the state and development of the terminology system within the framework of vessel nominations as lexical units of the English, French and Russian languages. The main problems of this international sphere of interaction of specialists are considered. Such issues as the origin of water transport terminology, the complexity of the verbal construction, synonymy and polysemy, harmonization and neology/obsolescence of terminological units are raised. In the process of analysis, the translation features of water transport terms, cultural and historical aspects, and mechanisms for the development of the terminology base are highlighted. As a result of the study, a general characteristic of the terminology system of water transport is given. To compare lexical units, a summary table of vessel nominations in comparison in English, French and Russian was used.

A discursive analysis of the genre specifics of the postmodern thriller
Abstract
the article examines the lexical originality and stylistic means of artistic expression that form the genre specificity of Ursula Poznanski's work "Erebos" within the framework of discourse analysis. The relevance of the topic is determined by the importance of identifying the influence of postmodernism on popular genres of fiction, such as а thriller. The purpose of the work is a discursive analysis of the genre-forming characteristics of a modern thriller. Discursive analysis takes place at the contextual level, when the content, heroes and their social roles, place and time of the action are described, as well as at the text level, when the lexical and stylistic aspects of the work are in the center of attention. A peculiar feature of the modern thriller is the setting up of a chronotop based on intertextual elements, youth slang and description of the realia of the scene. The semantic fields of emotions and mysticism are supported at the stylistic level by the use of metaphors, personifications, allusions to create the atmosphere of mystery and philosophical depth of the text. Rhetorical questions enact suspense, which is the central genre-forming device of the thriller. Intertextuality and an unreliable narrator act as markers of postmodernism. Analysis of the genre-forming means of the thriller is important in the plane of linguistic research, as it contributes to a more complete understanding of the author's intent.

Parameters of effective university communication in the digital space
Abstract
due to the transformation of the traditional understanding of the university as an educational space, effective communication strategies are needed to be formed. The paper attempts to describe the system-forming communication strategies of a modern university which are identified using the developed model of effective university communication. This model includes actors, their goals and objectives, ‘university-audience’ interaction, strategic management and the management system. Based on the communication strategies proposed by O.S. Issers, the following university communication strategies were considered in detail: informing, persuasion, self-presentation, illustration. The study describes the means of representation of these communication strategies which are presented as lexemes, collocations and phrases. These lexical means were identified from paragraphs of the Program of Development of University of Tyumen for 2025-2036 and popular news sites 72.ru / RT on university's achievements for 2023-2025. This paper can be applied in a number of spheres due to the comprehensive strategic and linguistic analysis of the means of representation of the university's communicative strategies. For instance, in corpus linguistic studies related to the analysis of professional vocabulary; in marketing to form the image of the university and promote the university; in educational disciplines on the development of communicative competencies of students.

Lexical and stylistic features of the narrator speech in the Anna Matveeva's novel "Every Hundred Years"
Abstract
the article analyzes lexical and stylistic features of the speech of the main narrators (Ksenia Lesova and Ksenia Levshina) in Anna Matveeva's novel "Every Hundred Years". The most significant groups of stylistically colored vocabulary are identified; and the narrators' speech is analyzed from the aspect of using lexical means of expression. Attention is drawn to the active inclusion of reduced, colloquial and vernacular vocabulary in the speech of each of the narrators, which is due to the diary form of narration (conveying the oral speech features); as well as the presence of certain groups of terms, in particular, mineralogical terminology, which is due to the professional activities of the characters in the work. It is noted that Xana's speech as a leading narrator is characterized by greater polyphony, linguistic diversity, active use of figurative means, a tendency to lingual game, as well as reflection in later recordings (2017). The language of Ksenia Mikhailovna's diaries is also diverse, but it is somewhat inferior in expressiveness, and it also becomes more dry and protocol-like in later entries. The most significant is the interaction of the two narrative lines, which is especially evident in Ksenia Lesova's reflections on the fate of Ksenia Mikhailovna Levshina.

Slogan in the media language: characteristics, typology and means of education (based on the French language)
Abstract
this article presents a study of slogans in the media language based on the French language. The aim of the study was to identify the characteristics of slogans in different types of media. A theoretical analysis of the state of the issue was conducted based on the scientific works of domestic and foreign authors using general and special methods, including descriptive, comparative, and contextual methods. As a result of the study, the essential characteristics of slogans and their classification were identified, a functional and thematic typology of slogans was compiled, and the stylistic devices used in slogans, including parallelism and repetition, were analyzed and summarized. The theoretical and practical significance lies in clarifying the definition of a slogan in media language by observing the phenomenon in its functioning. It has been established that the following word-building techniques are used in the creation of neologism slogans: metaphorization, repetition, and wordplay. The main functions of a slogan have been identified. One of the important functions of a slogan is its appeal function, which can be considered the main function. An equally important function of a slogan is informative. A slogan also has an expressive function, which is that in brief, vivid expressions it conveys a complete, memorable image of a part of reality. The realization of the expressive function is achieved through the use of artistic expressiveness techniques: lexical and syntactic means. Wordplay is noted among the significant stylistic techniques for creating the expressiveness of slogan texts. The ideological function of a slogan is performed through its socially-oriented role – the transmission of some socially significant ideas or values under a certain angle of perception. The communicative function of a slogan is expressed in the promotion of the audience to certain actions through awakening awareness, memories or desires in them.

The impact of the genesis of sports telegram channels on the rhetorical structure of media text
Abstract
the article examines the features of the structure of media texts of sports Telegram channels in the context of the Rhetorical Structure Theory. Modern sports Telegram channels occupy a significant place in the media consumption of young audiences, which draws attention to the study of the properties of media texts formed in them. From the point of view of genesis, existing Telegram channels can be divided into two main groups: Internet media, representing the adaptation of traditional media in a new communication channel, and social media, which are a product of the evolutionary development of group communications in social networks. To compare media texts, a corpus was used consisting of posts from the MatchTV Telegram channel as a representative of Internet media and the 2DROTS Telegram channel, which represents a typical social media. Comparison of the rhetorical structure of media texts in Telegram channels of different genesis indicates the existence of differences that can logically be associated with the features of their development, primarily the experience of existence on different communication platforms. The style of verbal communication that originated in a social network, when transferred to social media, is reflected in media discourse, making it less institutional. The existence of differences in the rhetorical structure of media texts due to the genesis of telegram channels gives grounds to consider the genesis of media among the properties that influence the characteristics of a media text.

The mechanisms of verbalization of a character’s emotional state in English- and Russian-language audio description for the comedy television series “Ted Lasso”
Abstract
audio description makes films accessible to individuals with profound visual impairments, promoting inclusion and supporting rehabilitation. This technology compensates for the lack of visual perception by incorporating explanatory voice-over commentary during pauses between character dialogues and significant sounds in a film. This article examines paralinguistic means of representing characters’ basic emotions in both English and Russian audio descriptions of a comedy television series. The authors emphasize that the functional and semantic potential of paralinguistic elements in audio description is realized only in conjunction with the verbal and nonverbal components of each episode and its context, which together ensure semantic precision in the description. The analysis reveals the interaction between parakinemes and paraproxemes, which describe external emotional reactions of characters, and identifies instances of direct nomination of emotional states. These mechanisms are found to be relatively universal in conveying a range of emotions through audio description. The findings of this study may contribute to the development of new strategies for representing emotions in audio description scripts, ultimately enabling more informative and emotionally nuanced content for blind film lovers and improving the overall quality of audio description.

A historical overview of the social responsibility of journalists in China
Abstract
this paper provides a comprehensive study of the evolution of the concept of social responsibility among journalists in China, viewed through the prism of deep historical transformations and current challenges of our time. This analysis allows us to trace the complex and multifaceted path that Chinese journalism has taken and identify the key stages of its development. At the initial stage, in the period before the start of the policy of reform and openness, the social responsibility of a journalist was almost completely identical to high political responsibility. The media functioned as an integral part of a centralized state system, and the main task of journalists was to act as a mouthpiece for the party and the government, providing ideological support and mass mobilization. Responsibility to society was understood as responsibility to the state and its goals. However, in recent years, in the context of a radically changing global and domestic media environment, there has been a process of revival and rethinking of social responsibility. The development of the Internet, social networks, and citizen journalism has destroyed the monopoly of traditional media on information, creating a highly competitive field where audience trust is becoming a key asset. Against this background, professionalism, reliability and adherence to ethical principles once again come to the fore as a necessary condition for the survival and successful functioning of the media. The work highlights the crucial importance of the social responsibility of journalists in the new era. Its adequate implementation is the key to strengthening trust in the media, serves as a barrier to the spread of misinformation and contributes to the implementation of the most important ethical standards of the profession.

Comparative analysis of the narrative of the uprising of the machines in the works of K. Capek and A. Tolstoy
Abstract
this study presents a comparative analysis of the machine uprising narrative in Karel ?apek's original play R.U.R. (1920) and its ideologically motivated adaptation by Alexei Tolstoy, Revolt of the Machines (1924). Employing corpus linguistics methodology, the research identifies key transformations: the semantic shift in replacing the term robot (emphasizing forced labor) with machine (implying mechanized agency and liberation); structural reorganization (3-act ? 4-act) and character system overhaul; reorientation of conflict from philosophical-existential to socio-revolutionary. The findings reveal that Tolstoy's adaptation is not a translation but a reimagining of the text within the Soviet linguosphere, where linguistic alterations (lexical, syntactic, narrative) serve as tools for ideological deconstruction. The Soviet cultural context is shown to be instrumental in shaping new semantic dominants. The analysis confirms the hypothesis that Tolstoy's adaptation is an ideologically motivated reinterpretation rather than a direct translation. Linguistic transformations (lexico-semantic, syntactic, narrative) are directly linked to the Soviet ideological context of the 1920s, shifting ?apek's philosophical questions about human nature and creation into the plane of socio-revolutionary struggle. The comparative analysis demonstrates how changes in key terminology ("robot" ? "machine"), transformation of character images (e.g., factory owner into an imperialist dictator, robots into an oppressed class), structural reorganization, and conflict reorientation serve to create a fundamentally new artistic statement reflecting the zeitgeist and ideological imperatives of the Soviet era. Despite its derivative nature and loss of the original's philosophical depth, Tolstoy's adaptation gained independent artistic value and stage life, becoming a significant artifact of Soviet culture.

Secondary nomination: semantic-structural schemes and their implementation in cinematic dialogue
Abstract
the subject of the study is the semantic-cognitive properties of discursive binary structures. In the sphere of secondary nominations, the phenomenon of pairing exhibits significant content-compositional potential: binomial units serve as verbal items in dialogue and also shape its structure, becoming the core and cognitive attractor. The architectonics of the schemes in question is characterized by wholeness, internal completeness, clarity, and consistency of elements. As core elements of proverbs, idioms, and fixed collocations, binomials serve a modeling function for speech segments, which are specified at the level of communicative-constructive syntax. The binary nature of the researched material, its logical and content-based filling predetermine a juxtaposition or a contrast, which enact the axiological component of meaning, identified and considered in the evaluative-stylistic aspect. The component interrelationships within a purposefully constructed discursive framework create a complexity of meanings that require decoding. This study has a theoretical-empirical nature; its aim is to constructively parameterize binary forms and interpret their communicative-pragmatic assignment in speech for achieving an equivalent translation.

Polydictemic unparcellated introductory units of short stories (based on the writings of Katherine Mansfield)
Abstract
the article discusses the most productive type of beginings of K. Mansefield’s short stories – polydictemic unparcellated introductory units. The purpose of the study is to identify the text–organizing potential of this structural-semantic type of beginings. The leading role in the structural and semantic organization of the polydictemic beginning is performed, as a rule, by the first dicteme. Each dicteme has sufficient but relative thematic independence. All of them are subordinated to the development of a common theme and are built into a logical chain of narration. This ensures the integration of information blocks – dictems and the functioning of the polydictemic introductory unit as a whole. The arrangement of several dictemes within a single paragraph contributes to the formation of complementary semantics, which forms the basis of the connections between dictemes in the introductory unit. The paper shows that in her novels K. Mansfield uses beginnings of this type to initiate a thematically complex narrative, which touches on a person’s deep feelings, his unexpected emotional impulses, forcing the reader to carefully analyze even the mundane phenomena of the surrounding world.

A comparative study of the theme of physical alienation in the works “Nose” and “Metamorphosis”
Abstract
this study employs a comparative literature approach, utilizing AntConc 4.3.1, to conduct a contrastive analysis of the theme of physical alienation in Gogol’s The Nose and Kafka’s The Metamorphosis. Through close reading and quantitative research, drawing on Foucault’s theory of disciplinary power, the study explores the differences between the two works across three dimensions: the vehicle of alienation, disciplinary power, and literary expression. The findings reveal that the two texts select distinct symbolic carriers of alienation – the nose and the beetle, respectively. In terms of disciplinary power, The Nose exposes how disciplinary mechanisms manipulate identity, while The Metamorphosis demonstrates the domination of disciplinary power over life itself. Regarding literary expression, Gogol employs satire and humor to deconstruct social hypocrisy, whereas Kafka adopts a detached and subdued narrative, presenting the absurd as an inescapable reality of existence. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the two authors’ distinctive creative styles and how narratives of physical alienation serve as metaphors for the existential predicament of modern individuals.

Phonetic units and phenomena that realize melodiousness in the lyrics of B.L. Pasternak (based on the fragment of the poem "Waves")
Abstract
the article examines the system of phonetic means that are realized in poetic speech at the levels of speech segments, explores the role of sound in the semantics of utterances, and identifies the connections between prosodic units and phenomena and the components of a musical sentence. The research methodology is based on a review of scientific works on the topic, statistical and phonosemantic analysis, and the syntagmatic method. The main research methods are observation and measurement, which allowed the author to determine the dynamic parameters of syllables and identify the phonetic contours of stanzas. The results of scientific work provide conclusions about the melodiousness of a lyrical work, which presents a perspective for further research.

Lexical and stylistic features of English-language fashion blogs
Abstract
this article is devoted to the analysis of fashion blogs in the English linguaculture and the identification of their linguacultural and discursive features. Linguistic culture and discourse are interconnected phenomena, where language acts as a tool for transmitting cultural norms, values and worldviews. In the context of fashion discourse, this is manifested through specific vocabulary, professional terms and cultural connotations that form a unique semiotic system. Fashion discourse has a pronounced institutional nature, combining elements of professional and mass communication. Its key characteristics include specialized terminology, expressive and evaluative means, cultural codes and intertextuality, which makes it a complex and multifaceted object of research. The study of the specifics of modern media communication seems to be significant not only for linguacultural studies, discourse theory and intercultural communication, but also for the practical activities of translators, content managers and media and PR specialists involved in the creation and adaptation of fashion content for various linguistic and cultural environments. Thus, fashion blogs are a significant object of linguacultural and discursive analysis, reflecting the specifics of the interaction of language, culture and society in the digital age.

Translation variability of occasional vocabulary in Denis Villeneuve’s science fiction films
Abstract
occasional vocabulary is a subject of study for many researchers in the areas of linguistics and translation studies. The article examines the problem of transferring occasional lexical units represented in the texts of the science fiction films “Blade Runner 2049” and “Dune: Part One” into the Russian language. As a result of interpretative analysis of the original film texts, as well as a comprehensive comparative analysis of their Russian translations, the most effective translation means used for the adequate translation of occasional words are identified. This task requires making independent and original translation decisions. Their high variability is related to the phenomenon of translation multiplicity, which theoretically accounts for the existence of an unlimited number of translations of a single text. The novelty of the research lies in the study of the transfer of occasionalisms from the perspective of a previously unexplored context – the established corpus of different versions of translations of the aforementioned films.

Features of translating animated series song intros into Russian
Abstract
the article is devoted to the peculiarities of translating animated series song intros into Russian, using the example of the theme song from the popular animated series "Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers". The author examines the challenges arising in song translation, such as preserving rhythm, conveying cultural context, and adapting the text for a young audience. The importance of maintaining the original emotional tone and conveying the core ideas of the source material is emphasized as a key requirement for effective translation. The article provides a detailed analysis of the Russian version of the song, illustrating adaptation techniques employed by translators. Particular attention is paid to preserving humor and creating a text that is easy to understand and fits the musical accompaniment. Various approaches to solving problems of cultural adaptation are discussed, including modifying certain plot elements and using simple expressions comprehensible to Russian viewers. The author concludes that a successful translation of animated song intros requires a comprehensive approach that takes into account musical, linguistic, and cultural aspects. An effective translation enhances children's engagement with the cartoon and strengthens their emotional connection to the characters and storyline.

On the features of reactive argumentative discourse in speakers of the cognitive
Abstract
the article presents the course and results of a lingvopsychological experiment aimed at identifying the features of reproducing argumentative discourse by respondents who are native speakers of the opposite poles of the cognitive style "concrete conceptualization / abstract conceptualization". The features of reproducing argumentative activity, the number and sequence of the Theses put forward, the features of using linguistic means representing the Data and Grounds that support the Theses introduced were studied. The texts-products of the subjects were subjected to argumentative analysis using the model of argumentative functions of S. Toulmin to determine the features and number of Argumentative Moves and Argumentative Steps, the type of argumentation.

A study on college English teaching under the guidance of content and language integrated learning theory
Abstract
with the acceleration of globalization, there is an increasingly urgent demand for interdisciplinary talents with solid English proficiency and cross-disciplinary knowledge in society. The traditional college English teaching model, which “emphasizes language skills while neglecting content integration”, can hardly meet students’ needs to use English to solve professional problems in real contexts. This study focuses on the application of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) theory in college English teaching. It takes a comprehensive university as a case study to deeply analyze the feasibility and practical effects of integrating this theory with college English teaching. The research finds that the CLIL model can effectively improve students’ comprehensive English application ability and disciplinary knowledge transfer ability. However, its promotion in this university faces challenges such as insufficient teaching literacy, lack of teaching resources, and difficulty in adapting to students’ individual differences. Based on this, this study proposes targeted strategies, providing theoretical references and practical paths for the reform of college English teaching in similar institutions.

Analysis of the lexis of the telegram channel "Finance" by Svetlana Ilyina
Abstract
the article explores the lexical and stylistic features of financial discourse in Svetlana Ilyina's Telegram channel "Finances." The relevance of the study lies in the need to explore new forms of digital communication that combine professional terminology with elements of spoken language. The aim of the study is to identify the specific features of lexical and stylistic aspects of financial discourse in the Telegram channel "Finances" and to determine the similarities and differences with traditional financial language. The study employs methods of vocabulary classification, contextual analysis, and comparative research. The study is based on 184 lexical units selected from the channel's publications in January 2024. The research shows that Telegram discourse is shaping a new type of economic communication that requires a revision of traditional approaches to the analysis of professional languages. The work is of interest to specialists in the fields of linguistics, media research and financial communication, as well as to practitioners working with digital media. The results obtained open up prospects for further study of the transformation of professional languages in the context of digitalization.

Inversion as a tool for creating pseudo-orality in the English-to-Russian audiovisual translation
Abstract
the research paper cited in this article aims to create a style guide for preserving pseudo-orality (a believable imitation of spoken speech) in English-to-Russian audiovisual translation. This article details the use of inversion as a way to preserve pseudoorality. This research is supported by a review of existing papers on AVT from researchers in both Russia and worldwide. Our research relies on comparative analysis of audiovisual media translations, and the article at hand details some of our preliminary findings. It provides a detailed comparison and commentary on some of the example translations and a summary in the form of actionable recommendations for translators.

The concept of "space" in the ritual and epic folklore of the Nogais
Abstract
the article examines the concept of "space", which is an important element of the traditional worldview of the Nogais, in its genre modifications. The study of folklore texts helps to understand the key aspects of the Nogai conceptualization of the world. Space in Nogai folklore is heterogeneous, it includes sacred and secular areas related to mythology and cosmology. Spatial metaphors in family ritual genres convey the peculiarities of the Nogai people's worldview and their attitude towards nature and humans. Toponyms and hydronyms in the system of spatial perception of the world reflect people's ideas about space, which are associated with geographical objects and water surfaces. Additionally, in epic works, they have a symbolic meaning that reflects the culture and history of the people. Space in Nogai folklore is dynamic. It reflects movement and change, which is vividly seen in epic tales where characters travel through symbolic spaces. Thus, folklore narratives are an important tool in the formation and maintenance of the collective memory of the Nogai, contributing to the preservation of their cultural uniqueness and identity.

Menippean features in Dostoevsky’s short story Bobok – a carnival song of the cemetery
Abstract
Fyodor Dostoevsky’s short story Bobok, also translated as The Crackling One, is one of the most significant works of the writer’s later period. Bakhtin regarded this work as almost a “microcosm” of Dostoevsky’s entire oeuvre, embodying many of his themes and characters in a strikingly direct manner. This story has received comparatively little attention in China. This article examines the main character of Dostoevsky’s works – the “man of thought” – through the prism of three Menippean characteristics: infernal laughter, the carnival of the cemetery, death, and rebirth.
