The chronotope of war and the motif of lost childhood in the stories of Heinrich B?ll «Stranger, Bear Word to the Spartans We...», «The Baleks Scales»
Abstract
the purpose of the article is to study the chronotope of the war and the related motif of lost childhood in H. B?ll's stories «Stranger, Bear Word to the Spartans We...», «The Baleks Scales », to identify individual authorial features and artistic means of expressing the spatial model in the writer's works. The conducted research has shown that a distinctive feature of the chronotope is its time plan, which reveals a live stream of time (war and post-war). The interpretative analysis reveals the chronotope in the form of a number of binary oppositions: present / past, peacetime / wartime, movement / immobility, limitation / boundlessness, etc., which represent the structural basis for building the artistic whole of the writer's stories and help express the conflict between the worlds depicted in them – the world of the main character, a child soldier. and its antagonists are the «others». The chronotope in the writer's stories is also revealed as a means of understanding the most important morals.

The emblem of serfdom and a requiem for human nature: interpreting the artistic world in Turgenev's prose "Mumu"
Abstract
this article analyzes Ivan Turgenev’s novella Mumu as a literary work in which the symbolism of muteness and the image of the dog Mumu serve not only a narrative role but also a deeply metaphorical function. The study focuses on how Turgenev constructs an aesthetic of silence and restrained protest under the conditions of serfdom, thereby creating a kind of requiem for the lost human capacity to feel, speak, and resist. Through interpreting the novella’s symbolic space, the author reveals the features of Turgenev’s “soft tragedy” and its humanistic resonance.

A person who speaks in the context of deixis and in the case system of differently structured languages
Abstract
the article examines a speaker from the point of view of his representation in the case system of nominative and ergative languages. The problem lies in the fact that for an adequate identical translation of the text, it is impossible to circumvent the problem of morphosyntactic representation of names (for example, pronominal nouns or other substantive names) of differently structured languages. The three cases of the name, qualified as nuclear in the Ingush language, represent three personal pronouns of the first person, two of which are indifferent to the structure of the Russian language. In the grammar of the nominative language, only one personal pronoun of the first person singular, the nominative case, is functional. Such names in the sentence structure perform the function of a subject, which is shifterically represented in the structure of an ergative language, unlike the person speaking the nominative Russian language. It is important for us to explore the ambiguity of the functioning of the three personal pronouns as deixis with the status of "first person" with an excursion into the diachrony of language. In translation, it is important to understand why in the Russian language there is one I ‘ego’, expressed by the personal pronoun of the first person of the singular in the nominative case, and in ergative Ingush (the language of translation) there are three ‘I’. Substantiation of the difference in the functioning of the nuclear case of genetically unrelated languages is necessary in order to mechanically recognize them in the context of translation activities.

Syntactic features of scientific style in Russian and Chinese
Abstract
this article attempts a comprehensive comparative analysis of the syntactic features of scientific style in Russian and Chinese. The relevance of the research is due to the increasing role of international scientific cooperation and the need to optimize intercultural communication in the academic environment. The work focuses on identifying both universal features inherent in scientific discourse as a whole and specific syntactic constructions caused by typological differences between Russian and Chinese languages. Particular attention is paid to the frequency of use of passive constructions, complex sentences, introductory words and phrases, as well as means of expressing the logical connection between parts of the text in both languages. As a result of the analysis, patterns reflecting different degrees of formalization and explicitness in the expression of scientific thought have been identified. The results obtained can be used in the practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language, Chinese as a foreign language, as well as in the field of scientific and technical translation to improve the quality and adequacy of interlanguage transmission of scientific information.

Linguistic, cultural and regional studies analysis of the Irish folk ballad "Dunlavin Green"
Abstract
this article analyzes the linguocultural and country studies of the Irish folk ballad “Dunlavin Green”. The ballad belongs to the genre of patriotic ballads, which became popular in Ireland since the XVI century and describes the tragic events of the Irish rebellion of 1798. The work conveys the emotional state and political moods of the people who lived in this historical era. Such significant events can not but imprint on literary works, which in one way or another translate the national worldview of a certain synchronous cut. The ballad genre is susceptible to the changes taking place in society, as it, due to its peculiarities, transmits social, political, historical and cultural traditions and describes the events to the listeners with the purpose of further transmission through generations. The ballad “Dunlavin Green” is an example of reflecting not only historical events, but also contains the experiences of the lyrical hero on whose behalf the narrative is told. This article provides a brief historical background and linguocultural analysis of the work. The author of this study has also made a linguistic translation of the ballad into Russian. The conclusion contains the conclusions that were obtained after studying the empirical material. The materials of this work can be used in pedagogical activities in the framework of courses on foreign literature and country studies.

Hermeneutic analysis of socialist children's literature and features of its impact on youth in the USSR
Abstract
the article considers the application of hermeneutic analysis for the study of socialist children's literature and the features of its impact on youth in the USSR. The research goal is to analyze the features of the emergence of fiction in the USSR, the task of which was to form a new society. The research objectives are to analyze the scientific discourse of the topic under study; to identify the features of children's fiction of the Soviet period; to systematize the results obtained. The research methodology is based on the literary approach and includes a historiographical analysis of scientific literature on the topic of the study; formal logical analysis, comparison, systematization, generalization. As a result, the following conclusions were formulated: Soviet literature was censored and used as an instrument of ideological influence on schoolchildren, through propaganda slogans and inducing linguistic strategies. Reading literature was not enough to ideologize society, so a hermeneutical approach was used to exclude dissent and form an immanent understanding of the text. Socialist realism, which developed from 1931 onwards, was aimed at teenagers as young as 14 who were susceptible to suggestion. Hermeneutics was necessary due to the age of the first generation of the USSR and for the ideological indoctrination of the mostly illiterate working and peasant class, in accordance with the educational tasks of the party.

Functional analysis of the chronological section of vocabulary (the first quarter of the 21st century)
Abstract
this article describes in detail the analysis of an experiment on the systematic stratification of the chronological section of the vocabulary of Russian narrative prose of the first quarter of the 21st century. The purpose of the experiment is to determine which words form the core of the vocabulary and which belong to the periphery. The analysis of the core vocabulary through chronological sections allows us to trace the dynamics of the development of the lexical system of the language. Particular attention should be paid to quantitative and qualitative changes in the core of vocabulary, since these processes are of paramount importance for understanding systemic transformations. The key research method is parametric vocabulary analysis (PVA), which includes four main parameters: functional, syntagmatic, derivational and paradigmatic. Only a comprehensive account of all four parameters allows us to get a complete picture of the position of a word in the hierarchy of the lexical and semantic system and objectively assess the significance of each lexical unit. The article contains a consistent description of all stages of the work - from the preparation of the dictionary and its electronic concordance to highlighting the minimally labeled vocabulary, determining the weight of each word according to the PVA parameters and analyzing the results obtained. The article presents original methodological approaches and solutions that can be used in further research of historical lexicology and the study of the lexical and semantic system of the modern Russian language. The conducted research demonstrates the effectiveness of an integrated approach to the analysis of the lexical system of the language and opens up new perspectives for studying the dynamics of the development of the modern Russian language. The results obtained can be used as a methodological basis for subsequent linguistic research.

The place and role of native vocabulary and turkisms in the Lak language
Abstract
the native Lak stock has also been significantly replenished due to new formations that have arisen on the basis of borrowed words. The foundation of native words consists of words belonging to a wide variety of thematic groups. The original Lak lexical units of common Dagestan origin are considered to be those Lak words that materially and semantically coincide with their correspondents in several or many Dagestan languages. Among the Lak words, which are genetically common with words of other Dagestan languages and probably originate from the Dagestan proto-language, lexical units of the most diverse content are presented. According to historical data, over a long period of their existence, the Laks entered into more or less prolonged economic, socio-political, cultural and military contacts with many peoples, in particular with ancient and later Iranians, Alans, Persians, Bulgars (Khazars), Kipchaks, Oguzes, Kumyks, Azerbaijanis, Crimean Tatars, Nogais and others. A significant place in the borrowed vocabulary of the Lak language is occupied by Turkisms – Bulgarian, Kumyk, Azerbaijani, as well as Turkish words, which is due to the fact that the Lak people's contacts with the Turkic-speaking world were the closest, most versatile and longest.

Pragmalinguistic features of late Soviet and modern Russian media communications
Abstract
the article presents the results of a study of the oral speech of professional authors of late Soviet and modern Russian media communications. The comparison was carried out using an original method of pragmalinguistic analysis. It was shown that Soviet authors significantly more often used in their speech the author's syntagmas, occasionalisms, proverbs and sayings, phraseological units, catchphrases, aphorisms and other types of quotation, as well as words with a connotative meaning. At the same time, Soviet authors significantly less often allowed vulgarisms, officialisms, obscene vocabulary, speech errors, truisms and cliches in their speech. Thus, it was proven that speech patterns of the pre-digital era were generally better than modern ones. The modern norm of language proficiency among authors popular in the virtual environment is noticeably lower compared to the relatively high norm of the late Soviet media. The obtained results correlate with the indicators of the study of oral speech of the media of the designated eras – cinema and TV series. And also with data obtained by comparing the oral speech of late Soviet and modern young consumers of media content. This indicates that the speech models for imitation broadcast by the media determine the speech of the younger generation.

The use of AI-based chatbots in text-related fields
Abstract
this article explores the transformation of professional practices in the field of text work under the influence of generative AI chatbots based on large language models (LLM), such as GPT and Claude. The study focuses on three key areas: journalism, editing, and copywriting. In the area of journalism, the author analyzes the use of AI to automate routine tasks (idea generation, summaries, transcription), increase the efficiency of news cycles, and assist in data analysis, while also identifying risks related to reliability (“hallucinations”) and ethical dilemmas that require the development of editorial policies. In the field of editing, the study demonstrates the widespread use of AI tools for fixing grammar, enhancing style, and overcoming language barriers-especially among non-native speakers-which leads to increased productivity. However, it emphasizes the critical need for human post-editing due to the risk of semantic distortions and the addition of false information by the machine, as well as noting a shift in the perception of AI from being prohibited to its ethical application being regulated. The analysis of copywriting reveals the mass adoption of AI for quickly creating drafts, generating ideas, and adapting content, thereby significantly reducing time expenditure. Nevertheless, limitations of AI in creativity, emotional depth, and understanding of cultural context necessitate further human refinement of texts. Additionally, ethical and legal aspects (originality, copyright, consumer transparency) are considered along with the anticipated transformation of the copywriter profession towards managing AI and editing its output. The main findings of the study point to an early stage of a fundamental transformation of text-related professions. Generative AI has proven its value as an assistant tool that enhances speed, scalability, and efficiency in journalism, editing, and copywriting. However, the key challenges remain ensuring the reliability and quality of content through mandatory human oversight, developing ethical standards and transparent rules for its use, and adapting professions to the new model of human-machine cooperation. The author asserts that AI will not replace but rather redefine the role of the specialist, enhancing the importance of critical thinking, creativity, and technological management skills.

Sign language proficiency as an element of realisation of communicative competence of officers of internal affairs bodies of Russia
Abstract
the present article considers the necessity for IAB officers to be able to communicate using sign language. In the practical activities of police officers there is often a need for the ability to use sign language for effective communication with citizens with hearing impairment. Hence the need to acquire these skills in the process of training of officers. Despite the fact that sign language has been introduced into the educational programmes of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and has been studied for about 10 years, many officers do not possess these skills at the appropriate level. It is important to learn not only the basics of sign language, but also the psychology of the deaf or sign psychology. Misunderstandings can occur when communicating with people using professional terms, which in turn can lead to negative situations. In this article the following problems that hinder the full use of sign language are given: lack of specialists; lack of unified standards; lack of a systematic approach; lack of funding. The following solutions to these problems have been proposed: improving the skills of staff; developing uniform standards; creating a system of interpreters; using new technologies; raising public awareness. It is through the formation of professional communication skills of employees and increasing their non-verbal communicative competence that more effective and quality work with deaf and hard-of-hearing citizens will be ensured.

Сomparative analysis of biomechanical, space-time parameters of the classical variant (grab-start) and the track and field version (track start) in swimming at the initial training stage
Abstract
it is known that in sports swimming, different variants of the starting jump in swimming have been in the spotlight of specialists, coaches, and athletes for many years, since a well-executed start plays a key role in swimming the distance, especially at sprint distances. Over the past two decades, the starting jump in swimming has been repeatedly changed in technique. However, today, among highly qualified athletes, the track and field version of the starting jump (track start) is mainly used. However, the classical version (grab start) prevails in the initial training of young swimmers. In this regard, the article analyzes two variants of the starting jump (classic grab start, track and field track start). Biomechanical features were recorded when performing two start options (classic grab start, track and field track start) in children aged 7-9 years. The age-related dynamics of the kinematic parameters of the stratum in athletes at the initial stage has been revealed. It is interesting that with the help of a strain gauge platform with a pad, it became possible to register the support reaction of repulsion from behind a standing leg, but when performing a track start (track start), novice swimmers are able to perform an ineffective, but already two-support start of repulsion (with a foot standing behind on the pad and a foot standing in front with a grip on the front of the bedside table), which indicates the prospect of forming this starting option already in the initial training groups. The kinematic parameters were analyzed using the kinovea software.

Methodological aspects of using toponyms in teaching guides on Russian as a foreign language
Abstract
the article examines the role of toponyms in textbooks on Russian as a foreign language (RFL) and their influence on the formation of lexical, grammatical, communicative and cultural competencies of students. The purpose of the work is to identify the degree of methodological development of toponymic material and to develop recommendations for its effective integration into the educational process. The main method used is a content analysis of popular textbooks ("Road to Russia", "Progress"), on the basis of which the structure, didactic principles and forms of inclusion of toponyms are studied. Particular attention is paid to the degree of their regional studies and communicative load. The results showed that in most textbooks toponyms are used primarily to practice grammatical constructions, without due regard for their cultural significance. The work proposes a set of methodological solutions aimed at expanding the functional potential of toponyms: strengthening the regional studies component, using interactive maps, multimedia resources and communicative tasks simulating real speech situations. The practical significance of the study is that the introduction of new approaches to working with toponyms will increase students’ motivation, improve their understanding of Russian culture and geography, and also form a more conscious perception of language as a means of intercultural communication.

The impact of Internet resources on the formation of physical activity of students
Abstract
the paper analyzes the degree of influence of Internet resources on the formation of physical activity among student youth. In pursuit of the goal of maintaining the health of students during their studies at the university, we evaluate the use of Internet resources by students with a health and sports focus from both sides: positive and negative. In the modern information space, Internet technologies provide great opportunities for self-improvement. Information about sports events, training complexes, methods and means of physical training can be found in the public domain on sports portals and Internet platforms. We consider how this affects the formation of physical activity in students, analyzing both the physical and psychological components. We study the impact of Internet content on the motivation of young people to engage in conscious and regular sports activities. Recognizing the undoubtedly important role of Internet resources, we assess the possible health risks of students from an ill-considered trusting attitude to unprofessional recommendations and training programs. Using survey and interview methods, we also analyzed the role of Internet resources in popularizing sports information among students and assessed the results of their use. The aim of the work was to determine the influence of web-resources on the formation of physical activity in students within the framework of a healthy lifestyle. Using observation, pedagogical and comparative analysis methods, we came to the conclusion about the need to educate students' critical attitude to the choice of Internet content related to physical education and sports. The results of the study contribute to the conscious use of digital content by students. This will help to avoid possible risks associated with an unprofessional approach to physical education and sports in the digital space.

Analysis of the phrasal verb lexical exercise features in English foreign as language textbooks
Abstract
the study and use of phrasal verbs is still a difficult and unsolved problem in the methodology of teaching English as a foreign language. The aim of this paper is to analyze lexical exercises aimed at developing lexical skills on phrasal verb usage. Quantitative data of English textbooks (EFL) show that exercises on phrasal verbs are divided into two groups: pre-textual and post-textual, with the frequency of the first group of exercises exceeding the second group by 1.5 times. Of the 85 exercises analyzed, 33 are classified as exercises in which students have to do some retrieval work – reconstruct the studied material from memory, and 52 are classified as ‘trial and error’ exercises. The latter are introduced without first providing relevant input to help learners with the gaps in their knowledge, students are expected to learn from feedback. According to the second criterion of analysis – matching two parts, exercises are divided into activities to match the form and meaning of a phrasal verb and exercises to form the phrasal verb combining a verb with an appropriate preposition. We believe that the quantitative analysis of exercises will help identify difficulties in mastering phrasal verbs, choose the right types of exercises and their number for effective work in teaching English phrasal verbs.

Texts for home reading as a means of accumulating socio-cultural experience and the principles of their selection
Abstract
the article raises the urgent problem of selecting educational materials for teaching foreign languages, with an emphasis on texts for independent reading. The main idea of the author is that the correct choice of texts, especially between fiction and non-fiction (popular science), is crucial for the successful assimilation of language, the formation of socio-cultural experience and the development of socio-cultural competence of students. The context of the study includes reviews of existing resources designed for teaching foreign languages, and emphasizes the importance of matching educational materials to the level of training of students. In particular, artistic texts, due to their emotional impact and rich vocabulary, contribute to deep understanding, but can be difficult to perceive without prior knowledge. On the other hand, popular science materials, such as texts with simplified vocabulary and clear structure, are easier to digest and do not require special training. The author identifies several key aspects that should be taken into account when selecting texts for home reading: the level of complexity, subject matter, as well as the correspondence of the selected materials to the general curriculum and vocabulary, which is studied as part of the basic school curriculum. Through surveys among high school students, a systematic study was conducted that confirmed the importance of these criteria for selecting texts for successful learning. The results showed that the authentic popular science texts chosen by the author, despite the presence of certain difficulties, are generally suitable for achieving goals related to the development of reading skills and the formation of socio-cultural experience. The conclusion of the article sums up the fact that popular science texts can become a reliable basis for the formation of necessary reading skills and socio-cultural experience, contributing to the interpretation of modern topics and problems, which is an integral part of teaching foreign languages at a high level.

Pedagogical technology of preparation and holding of a scientific conference as a form of professional education of first-year students
Abstract
the problem of choosing forms of professional education of students in an institution of higher education can rightfully be called one of the most important in the pedagogy of higher education. This form of education at the Saint Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University is a scientific conference that solves a whole range of problems, among which the first place is occupied by the tasks of professional education of students. The Faculty of Clinical Psychology - a division of the university - since its foundation in 2000 has supported and developed the tradition of students holding quarterly conferences of various types, including traditional scientific and practical conferences dedicated to Mother's Day, Psychologist's Day, educational motivation of subjects in the context of continuous education, as well as conferences illustrating various areas of scientific activity of the faculty's teaching staff. The author considers the preparation of students for the conference and their direct involvement in its implementation as a pedagogical technology, which certainly has enormous potential in the development of specialists in helping professions – speech therapists and defectologists. In the article, the author characterizes the pedagogical technology of preparation and implementation of a scientific conference devoted to the issues of inclusive education in a modern school, as a form of professional education of first-year students of the special (defectological) education department of the faculty of clinical psychology, and interprets its results. The aim of the study was to develop a pedagogical technology for preparing and holding a scientific conference as a form of professional education for first-year students of the special (defectological) education department and the subsequent analysis of the conference results. The study period was from mid-April to the end of May of the 2024-2025 academic year. The results indicate that the majority of students' responses – 29 people (74.4%) – тtestified that the content, structure and form of the conference evoked a positive emotional response in them, indicating their satisfaction with this form of working with them. A small number of participants – 6 people (15.4%) – were not entirely satisfied with the conference, since it did not include issues of clinical psychology. One person (2.6%) stood out from the group of respondents, who noted that he was not interested in delving deeply into the content of the conference, since he did not intend to work in an inclusive education environment, therefore, in his opinion, he could only give it an unsatisfactory assessment. Another 3 people (7.7%) find it difficult to assess both the content and the form of work with the audience, as they have no standard for comparison. In their opinion, satisfaction/dissatisfaction with the conference should be demonstrated by those who took an active part in it; potentially, they would not participate in the conference, as this is associated with the need to fulfill a number of requirements of the teacher, but they have not developed the appropriate learning skills. The results of the study allow us to determine tactics for professional education of students who lack the learning skills to complete teacher assignments, as well as those who are not interested in immersing themselves in the content of conferences, since they do not have a fully formed understanding of the scope of their professional activity.
