Ideological and political views of the Russian emigration on the pages of the magazine «Modern notes»

the article analyzes the ideological and political views of the Russian emigration on the pages of the journal «Modern notes». The author identifies the views of the editors and authors on their situation abroad. The attitude of representatives of the Russian diaspora to Russia, its past and future is determined, and the position regarding the role of literature in exile is established. In order to most fully disclose the topic, a historical analysis of the period of the first wave of Russian emigration is given. The article examines the goals and objectives of the journal «Modern notes», widely presents the image of Soviet Russia on the pages of the journal, and characterizes the ideas about the mission of Russian literature. In the context of the study of how the editors and authors of «Modern notes» write about contemporary Russia, the author highlights an important ideological conflict in the ?migr? community, which arose against the background of fading faith in returning to the Motherland. The analysis of the articles in the journal made it possible to identify the attitude of representatives of the Russian diaspora to Russia, its past and future.
