Abstract
the development of technologies in recent decades has led to the rapid integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into various spheres of life, including physical education and sports. The question of using AI in these fields is becoming increasingly relevant due to its potential impact on training effectiveness, training processes, and sports results. However, despite the obvious advantages, there are a number of issues and challenges associated with the implementation of AI in sports. One of the main challenges is the need to adapt traditional training methods to new technological realities and to educate coaches and athletes on how to use AI to enhance athletic performance. The goal of this work is to analyze the application of artificial intelligence in educational physical education and sports, to identify its advantages and disadvantages, as well as to determine directions for further research and the implementation of AI technologies in sports education practices. The study examined examples of successful integrations of AI-based technologies into professional sports and the possibilities of integrating existing and tested technologies into the educational process to enhance the effectiveness of physical education classes. A sociological survey of students was conducted to gather their opinions on the potential implementation of these changes in the educational process. During the survey, both positive and negative opinions regarding the integration of AI into the educational process were identified and discussed. The research provides recommendations for representatives of the sports community and educational institutions on the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in training processes and physical education. Furthermore, this work can serve as a basis for developing educational programs and courses on the application of AI in sports, which would contribute to the qualification improvement of coaches and specialists in the field of physical education. The identified issues and prospects for the use of AI in sports can be taken into account for formulating strategies for the future development of sports science and practice.
