Diachronic synonymy in English translations of the Bible
Abstract
The paper considers the development of the English vocabulary and approaches to the Bible translations. Comparing the Bible translations of different epochs, the author has found the causes of the diachronic synonymy. Consequently, the descriptive technique dominates the religious text translation of the present time.

The article deals with the cognitive modelling of a legal document based on the van Dijk cognitive strategy approach, which looks into the deep structures of text production and interpretation. On Russian translation of English technical terms
Abstract
The paper considers some issues of technical documentation translation. Particularly, the study focuses on technical terms translation. In this connection, the authors have analyzed the specifics of the translation in question. A conclusion was made that a good technical translator should know not only the foreign language but also be familiar with the relevant science or technical field. In some cases, a technical expert's advice is required.
