Visualization Techniques in Modern Journalism
Abstract
The article presents an analysis of visualization techniques and tools used in modern media. In this connection, visualization characteristics, as well as its presentation and audience impact techniques, are described. It was revealed that color graphics, typographics, and multimedia serve the advertising and impact functions in media texts.


The Influence of Russian Online Media on the Formation of Audience Tolerance
Abstract
The article considers the audience’s attitude to online media publications that touch on socially significant topics. The study is based on the results of a sociological survey of Internet users (N=150). The findings demonstrate a gradual increase in tolerance in the Russian society but at the same time the audience’s contradictory attitude towards various social minorities.


Regional Press in Infomedia: a Study of the Socio-Political and Business Newspaper “Nizhegorodskaya Pravda”
Abstract
The article reveals the development trends of regional printed periodicals. The empirical base of the study is made of periodicals circulating on the territory of the city of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The history, structure and content of the printed periodical "Nizhegorodskaya Pravda" are studied. The features which make the periodical important for people of the territorial unit are revealed.

Abstract
The article considers the orientation of journalistic information on the political vectors of modern social dynamics. The authors emphasize that any socio-political media outlet has its political and ideological priorities, which determine the mass consciousness of the audience.

Abstract
In this article, the author raises the issues of self-presentation and self-promotion in the context of video-blogging development. The author studies the strategies and techniques of self-presentation used by bloggers while analyzing food blogs. Moreover, special attention is paid to the blogger personal image, which is considered as an effective way of blog promotion.

Abstract
The article notes that online journalism has been widely developing in recent years. Not only new means of message communication have appeared, but the way of presenting information to the reader has also changed. As a result, certain genres come to the fore, which are now actively used by the journalists of the online media "Lenta.ru" and "Meduza".

Abstract
The article considers the period from 1946 to 1991, which is characterized by the ideological and psychological war between the USSR and the USA. The role of the media in the USSR losing the Cold War is emphasized. As a result, the ideological confrontation turned into a real information war.


Information and Adaptive Guidelines of Social and Cultural Development of Teenagers in the “Arena TeenTV” Paradigm
Abstract
The authors of the article pursue the following goals: developing a unique platform for socio-cultural adaptation of teenagers in media; popularization of television journalism and blogging among teenagers of 13–17 years old. The authors propose a project of a modernized television studio "TeenTV Arena" aimed at teenagers who want to find themselves in television industry and blogging.


The Role of Infographics in Modern Media
Abstract
The article presents an analysis of the perception of infographics by the target audience of different ages, taking into account their preferences in the typological choice of mass media. The author concludes that infographics and the main text should be combined in order to attract the majority of the audience.
