Students' predictive ability as a condition for choosing effective behavioral strategies
Abstract
The article presents the results of a study of predictive ability and strategies of behavior in conflict among university students. The connection between the development level of predictive ability and preferred conflict resolution strategies has been established. Conclusions are drawn about the importance of developing this ability in students as a condition for their choice of effective behavioral strategies.


Psychology in the digital space: using chatbots to provide psychological help
Abstract
The article considers the possibilities of using chatbots based on artificial intelligence as a tool of psychological support. The advantages of their anonymity and accessibility as well as their effectiveness in treating anxiety disorders and depression are analyzed. Current limitations, such as lack of personalization and empathy, are discussed, highlighting the need for further research in this area.


Developing students' skills to protect them from media manipulation
Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of developing students' skills of defense against manipulation in mass media. The theoretical analysis of the works of domestic and foreign psychologists on the problem of influence on consciousness of manipulative techniques in advertising and mass media is carried out. The training on the development of students' skills to resist manipulative technologies that are used in the media is presented.




The image of a higher school teacher in the view of university students
Abstract
The article analyzes the main mechanisms that make up socio-perceptual images. The results of scientific works of domestic and foreign researchers devoted to the study of the image of a higher school teacher in the representation of university students are considered. In addition, the article presents the results of empirical research, a survey of students, which revealed some regularities in the subjects' representation of a typical image of a higher school teacher. The obtained data made it possible to identify several categories of the image components and make a comparison by gender.


Current issues of psychology in publications of the journal “Voprosy psikhologii” for 2019-2023
Abstract
The article considers the current issues of psychology identified through the analysis of publications of the scientific journal “Voprosy psikhologii” for the time period of 2019- 2023. As a result, it is found that the most frequently discussed topics include historical data of psychology, cognitive mechanisms, psychodiagnostic techniques, psychological changes caused by the introduction of the Internet into daily lives of people, phenomena of emotional intelligence and emotional regulation, education and development of adolescent and preschool children.


Machiviallism as a phenomenon of social psychology
Abstract
This article examines Machiavellianism as a phenomenon of social psychology by analyzing its origins and characteristics. The psychological mechanisms underlying Machiavellianism are considered, as well as personality traits, motivation, cognitive styles and social interactions that caused the phenomenon to appear. Special attention is paid to the mechanisms of manipulation, strategies of social influence, and the influence of this phenomenon on interpersonal interaction.




Correlation of the level of internet addiction with indicators of the value and meaning sphere of teenagers
Abstract
The article describes the results of a study that examined the levels of Internet addiction, indicators of value and life-meaning orientations of adolescents. It also presents the results of a correlation analysis that characterizes the connection between the indicators of the value- semantic sphere of adolescent personality and different levels of Internet addiction.


Features of professional motivation of military academy undergraduates
Abstract
The article presents the results of an empirical study of the features of professional motivation of military academy undergraduates. In particular, the data of the correlation analysis regarding the nature of the relationship between professional motivation and achievement motivation, career value orientations with the motives for choosing a profession among cadets are presented.
