Alcohol non-consumption in the subject field of sociological researches in Russia and abroad
Аннотация
The article provides a brief overview of domestic and foreign sociological studies of non-consumption in general and alcohol non-consumption in particular. It is concluded that the non-consumption of alcohol is analyzed in both individual and collective dimensions, however, the appeal to the relevant practices is carried out by different approaches.


How moscow students spread news on social media VKontakte: characteristics and features

Social media users being participants in socio-cultural and economic life in their cities transfer their observations and experience to social media implicitly and explicitly. This article provides the results of a sociological research of the content, thematic features and forms of expression (like, comment, repost) of news that Moscow students spread on the social media VKontakte.




Cossacks as a social phenomenon
Аннотация
The article presents a brief overview of the Russian studies on the modern Cossacks and Cossack societies, their social status and position in the structure of Russian society. The interpretation of the phenomenon of the Cossacks in the scientific literature and its attribution to a particular category is considered. The study results show that most often the Cossacks are considered an ethnosocial group with its own culture, traditions and values.


Models of citizens attitude towards the state in the context of paternalism problem
Аннотация
Considering the results of a sociological research, the article deals with the attitudes of Russian people towards the state. The authors conclude that there are other models of the attitudes along with the paternalistic model, those are: participatory, individualistic and deprived attitudes.


Construction of city identity in electronic media
Аннотация
Currently, traditional paper media is being actively replaced by electronic media. Newspapers intensively master the new ways of presenting information, which include online versions of hard copy papers. The study results lead to the conclusion that in the modern information space, electronic media create the image of provincial cities and turn into a tool for constructing the city identity.


Reading strategies of teachers of the Republic of Mordovia
Аннотация
Based on the data of a mass survey conducted among the teachers of the Republic of Mordovia (n = 840), an attempt was made to find out their level of information accessibility, literary preferences and reading strategies. Based on a two-stage cluster analysis, the types of teacher reading strategies are identified.


Visual representations of social identity of the city of Saransk as the capital of the Republic of Monrovia in urban public spaces
Аннотация
Considering the data of a qualitative sociological study, the article reveals the main visual means of identifying public spaces as the capital city’s ones, based on the use of ethnic and national-state specifics and the main visual codes of urban identity of the capitals of the republics in the structure of the Russian Federation. The main content of visual representations of the identity of the capitals of the republics in urban architectural landscapes, social advertising and souvenir products is analyzed on the example of the capital of the Republic of Mordovia – the city of Saransk.


Social position of women entrepreneurs in regional society: a sociological analysis
Аннотация
The article presents the results of a qualitative sociological study "Social position of women entrepreneurs in the Republic of Mordovia". Twelve women entrepreneurs of Saransk city were interviewed by the method of informal interview. It was revealed that the social status of women entrepreneurs is determined by both objective (the employment sector and its gender marking, the standard of living in the region, etc.) and subjective (the level of professional education, motivation for employment, family assistance, etc.) factors.


Structure of narcotic drug use in the Republic of Monrovia
Аннотация
The article presents an analysis of the results of a sociological study, which characterizes the current state and structure of narcotic drug use in the Republic of Mordovia. Considering the data, the main causes and conditions of drug addiction of the population are identified. As a result, the social portrait of modern users of narcotic drugs is drawn up.
