Culture of business communication in Korean society
Abstract
healthy partnerships and mutual respect are essential conditions for successful business. However, when it comes to international cooperation, we should pay special attention to the aspects of the business culture of a particular country, which include elements of business communication, business ethics and etiquette. Often, the behavior of a potential business partner that is considered inappropriate by a foreign representative jeopardizes the entire future of the partnership. The aim of this work was to identify the characteristics of the business communication culture of the Korean society at the negotiation stage by means of interviews with a number of Korean entrepreneurs with average level income. The biographical and observational methods allowed to establish a model of respondents' behavior in certain situations related to their business, as well as to identify common features of business meeting, which, as a result, served as the basis for writing a recommendatory negotiating list for foreign entrepreneurs willing to cooperate internationally with Koreans. The authors of the article emphasize that it is necessary to have at least some basic knowledge of the business culture of a potential foreign partner in order to successfully conduct business in the international arena.

National interests of the state and the role of the institute of diaspora in their realization
Abstract
this study is an analytical study that sheds light on the concept of national interests, the institution of diaspora and the interaction between these two concepts. The study analyzes the essence of national interest, its classification, general characteristics and close relationship with the concept of national security, as well as the essence of the diaspora institution and its invaluable role in ensuring national interests. Ensuring national interests requires the development of mutually beneficial relations between states and their diplomatic cooperation. At the same time, the study aims to demonstrate that states strive to create centers of non-diplomatic influence to ensure their national interests at the international level, using the activities of the institute of diaspora, which has become an integral element of international relations. The research includes a review and analysis of scientific literature on various related topics. As a result of the study, it is concluded that ensuring national interests is of vital importance for each country. In the era of globalization, states are taking significant steps to organize non-diplomatic instruments of influence, such as the diaspora, assuming double responsibility for protecting their national interests.

Abstract
the article discusses issues that correspond to such a specialty from the list of the Higher Attestation Commission as «5.4.7. Sociology of Management (sociological sciences)». The authors of the article consider current issues of distance learning, the use of discursive information technologies in the educational process of the university. The article shows the experience of introducing distance learning during the spread of coronavirus infection, when the entire Russian education system was urgently forced to adapt to the online learning format. The authors present the results of sociological research using methods of included observation and a questionnaire survey of students. The purpose of the research was to identify the respondents' attitude to distance learning, to consider the social risks that may hinder the successful acquisition of knowledge and skills in the process of obtaining higher education online, as well as to consider management technologies that help reduce social risks. The research was conducted by the authors on the basis of the Laboratory of Sociology and Social Technologies of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of Bryansk State University named after Academician I.G. Petrovsky. The research revealed the attitude towards online learning among the direct participants in this process - students. Both the positive and negative sides of distance learning were analyzed. It has been revealed that there are problems of a technical nature, communication sphere, disciplinary plan, difficulties for independent development of educational materials, and the like. The positive aspects include the management of new information technologies, the use of which is important for further employment prospects in the chosen profession, and it is also important that the educational material is available at any time, the conditions of the educational process are comfortable, and monitoring of academic performance is possible not only during the session, but also at each lesson. The authors draw conclusions about the need to use managerial information technologies in the educational process of higher education institutions, taking into account both negative and positive phenomena that were identified during the sociological research. The content and format of the trending sociological research of management activities in the social sphere
Abstract
the article discusses issues that correspond to such a specialty from the list of the Higher Attestation Commission as «5.4.7. Sociology of Management (sociological sciences)». When considering the effectiveness of management decisions, sociological research is very important, among which trend research occupies an important place – repeated research on the same object without the requirement to maintain the same sample. In such a study, the same main population is studied at different points in time, and each time the choice is made from the very beginning. There is a constant change of observation units. This type of research is relevant for students living in a dormitory, since the external conditions are the same, and the contingent is constantly changing. The authors analyzed the parameters that contribute to the effectiveness of management activities in the social sphere, which was revealed thanks to a trending sociological study. The content and format of this study are very important, because the validity of the results depends on them. The authors conclude that the data obtained in the course of sociological research can and should be used in organizing the management process and directly for making managerial decisions in the social sphere.

Regional universities in the system of local community development (using the example of higher education institutions in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Iraq)
Abstract
the relevance of the topic is determined by the need for a sociological study of the current state and promising options for institutional modeling on the scale of probabilistic practices of information interaction between government authorities, local administrations, the population, university administrations and students. The relevance of the topic under study for the institutional structure of socially significant processes is also indicated by the heuristic priorities of the approaches proposed in sociology. Accordingly, the purpose of the author's research on the subject of sociology of social structure, institutions and processes is determined by the modern demand for the design of a systematic approach methodology for the scientific description of the composition and content of the elements of the university's effectiveness mechanism in interaction with the territorial community. The objectives of the research are to provide an author's justification of the options for a sociological study of the communication processes of regional universities and local communities, using the example of higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Iraq. The results consist in the author's approach to establishing criteria for scientific novelty in the context of exploring options for substantiating critical arguments for understanding the modern and promising functions of regional universities when they enter the institutional structures of local communities. This study has established that optimizing the conditions for the development of the labor market, priorities of social and cultural development, and standards of successful living of the population directly implies increasing the effectiveness of educational services offered to the local community.

SWOT analysis of artificial intelligence utilization by a Chinese non-state actor
Abstract
with the rapid development of AI technologies and applications, private companies, civil society groups, and social movements can utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance their operational capabilities and influence, and as a result, the use of AI for various purposes is increasingly in the hands of non-state actors (NSs). Therefore, the impact of AI on Chinese society, politics and values in China is fundamental to understanding this phenomenon. Addressing the impact of the use of AI by NS is an urgent challenge, as this technology represents a “double-edged sword.” In this paper, we aim to examine the impact of AI adoption on the situation in China by non-state actors (NSs) using SWOT analysis method to reveal the relationship between technological development and social consequences. In doing so, we intend to contribute to the necessary discussion on how to responsibly and justly utilize AI systems in the specific context of Chinese society. The outcome of this article will not only identify potential ways to mitigate risks, but also provide an effective policy framework to maximize the benefits of AI while preserving societal values.

The impact of economics on the environmental policy of the state in the context of sustainable development
Abstract
Russian environmental policy has indeed undergone changes that correspond to both internal and external challenges. The initial stage, when the emphasis was on maximizing resource extraction, was accompanied not only by economic growth, but also by serious environmental consequences. During the period of rapid industrialization, nature suffered from pollution, depletion of natural resources and destruction of ecosystems. With the transition to rational use of resources, a new environmental agenda began to take shape. This is due to the need to comply with international standards, the spread of environmental awareness among the population and the growing attention to sustainable development issues. The raw-material nature of the Russian economy certainly influences environmental policy. Limited resources can put pressure on natural ecosystems, so balancing economic interests and environmental protection remains an important task. In recent years, countries, including Russia, have increasingly turned to the concept of sustainable development, which implies the need for long-term planning and the integration of environmental, economic and social aspects into decision-making. In recent decades, the problem of the interaction between economic and environmental factors has attracted the attention of scientists, politicians and society as a whole. Economic development, as a rule, leads to an increase in the consumption of natural resources and, consequently, to a deterioration of the environment. This article examines the main mechanisms by which the economy influences the environmental policy of the state, as well as the main directions that can contribute to the harmonization of these two areas. Thus, Russian environmental policy does not stand still and continues to evolve in response to the challenges of the time, striving to find optimal ways between economic growth and environmental conservation.

Regulatory effect on the shadow economy of mining: a regional aspect
Abstract
the study examines the structural connections between cryptocurrency mining and the shadow economy in the context of regulatory reforms in Russia. The relevance of the topic is driven by the exponential growth of Bitcoin’s value, tightening sanctions pressure from the EU/US, and the unique energy resources of the Russian Federation, including an abundance of cheap electricity. The focus of the research is the relationship between the legal and shadow sectors of mining in regional contexts. The aim is to assess the impact of 2024 regulatory measures (including operator licensing) on the industry’s legalization. The hypothesis posits that state regulation reduces but does not eliminate shadow activity, while regional disparities in energy resources and gaps in legislation exacerbate risks. By 2025, Russia has 136.5 thousand mining farms (73% in the shadow sector), with annual damages from illegal activities reaching 10 billion rubles. Regulatory measures (Federal Law No. 221, tax reforms) have partially legalized the market, but 85% of taxes from companies flow to Moscow’s budget, creating imbalance and disregarding regional localization. Disparities are evident: Siberian regions dominate legal mining due to preferential tariffs, while the North Caucasus and newly incorporated regions face bans but maintain shadow activity. The findings can be applied to improve tax policy, redistribute budget revenues, optimize energy consumption using smart-grid systems, and combat money laundering. Limitations stem from a lack of data on private farms due to owner anonymity and the short observation period. Further research should analyze the long-term effects of regulatory reforms, environmental consequences of carbon footprints, and the role of international sanctions in transforming cryptocurrency markets.

Despite the growing role of independent investment banks, academic discussions on this issue are usually fragmented - on the one hand, researchers emphasize their organizational flexibility and industry specialization as competitive advantages; on the other hand, they point out the difficulties in maintaining their positions against the background of the dominance of large financial corporations. This article presents a comprehensive study of the key trends, barriers, and opportunities that shape the present and future of independent investment banking. Emphasis is placed on describing the strategic moves of leading actors, exploring the nuances of their adaptation to regulatory adjustments and digital innovations, and identifying gaps in academic sources. It is summarized that the subjects under consideration compete successfully due to narrow specialization and organizational flexibility but face risks associated with economic instability and the need to integrate digital solutions. Further development of the sector is realistic through the strengthening of technological infrastructure, expansion of international presence, and focus on new customer segments. The presented materials will be useful for researchers in the field of financial economics, corporate governance, and banking, as well as for investment banking practitioners analyzing the industry's prospects.

Economic growth of Chinese regions: a comparative analysis of GRP factors based on the example of Gansu, Sichuan, and Zhejiang
Abstract
understanding the driving forces behind regional economic growth remains one of the key issues in development economics, especially in large and economically diverse countries such as China. Despite decades of rapid growth, significant disparities in regional GDP levels, investment efficiency, and human capital development persist across China. The provinces of Gansu, Sichuan, and Zhejiang represent different stages of economic development – from the underdeveloped western regions to the advanced coastal regional economies. Objective: to identify and assess the economic and social factors that influence gross regional product (GRP) in the three studied provinces. The research hypothesis is that different factors have varying impacts on GRP across Chinese regions depending on their level of socio-economic development. Methodology. The empirical analysis is based on panel data from the three Chinese provinces – Gansu, Sichuan, and Zhejiang – covering the period from 2001 to 2023. The study applies a multi-stage methodological approach: data preparation and transformation, stationarity testing of variables, panel econometric models, ridge regression model, spatial autoregressive model (SAR), quantile regression model, vector autoregression (VAR) model, and machine learning models. The research was conducted using the R environment. Results: The study analyses the economic and social factors affecting per capita GRP in the selected regions of China. Conclusion: based on the research findings, possible directions for differentiating regional economic policy are proposed, depending on regional capabilities and needs.

Conceptual model of campus management with the use of the public-private partnership mechanism
Abstract
the development of university campuses in Russia is gaining particular significance with the implementation of the federal project "Creation of a Network of Modern Campuses." This initiative marks the first use of a public-private partnership model for the creation and management of university infrastructure. According to the project, a campus is defined as a complex socio-economic system that integrates educational, research, entrepreneurial, and social functions, necessitating the formulation of innovative management solutions. The aim of this study is to develop a conceptual model for campus management using a public-private partnership approach, considering the significant role of key project stakeholders – universities, regional governments, and private partners. The research employed institutional, comparative, and structural-functional analysis methods. An examination of existing campus management models revealed a shift from material-technical to institutional and process-based frameworks, reflecting a move towards a comprehensive management logic. The paper substantiates the applicability of public-private partnerships in campus management, systematizes the roles of key partnership participants, and discusses a tool for achieving sustainable return on investment through the creation of multiple revenue streams in the campus's product-service portfolio. The proposed conceptual model includes a multi-level management architecture (strategic, tactical, and operational levels) and serves as a means to align the interests of the state, universities, and private business. The results can be applied in the design and management of campuses that are implemented using a public-private partnership mechanism, within the framework of state educational policy and regional development.
