Academic mobility as a factor in the development of intercultural communicative competence of students and teachers in China and Russia

the purpose of the study is to conduct a comparative study of the formation of communicative competence on the example of students and teachers of Russia and China, to identify the features, as well as problematic issues and ways to solve them. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were solved: a theoretical study was conducted regarding the conceptual apparatus, an analysis of the literature on the features of the development of communicative competence on the example of China and Russia, as well as its role in modern education. Intercultural communicative competence, along with professional qualities and knowledge of the language, is one of the necessary conditions for building a career in the international sphere of activity. In order to identify practical features, the current state and identify problematic issues, a sociological study was conducted among students and teachers of Russia and China. Attention is paid to the difference between face-to-face and remote forms of events. Active development of information technologies allows holding some of the events related to the development of academic mobility in the online format. However, the question of their authenticity and effectiveness arises. The results obtained made it possible to identify not only problematic issues, but also ways of improvement in the field of development of communicative competence. Also, the obtained research results can be used in practical activities to improve the quality of development of programs and activities related to academic mobility with the aim of developing intercultural communicative competence, as well as for conducting further research.
