The article provides statistical information about the counties of the Russian Empire within the current borders of the administrative-territorial units of the Republic of Mordovia. The authors show the functionality of GIS technologies in presenting spatial data.
Factors of innovative development of agriculture in the Russian Federation

The authors analyzed the factors influencing the development of innovative activity in agriculture of Russia, identified in the process of searching for effective measures to stabilize and improve the situation in the industry. A brief history and the most common definitions of the terms "innovation", "innovative development", "diffusion of innovations", etc., including in relation to the field of agriculture, are considered. The factors of increasing the investment attractiveness of the industry and the features of their manifestation, as well as the role of geoinformation technologies, systems and modeling are determined.
On applicability of international experience in territorial planning and development of urban agglomerations in Russia

The issues of international experience in the development of agglomerations are considered. The possibility of applying the positive international experience of development and management of urban agglomerations to Russian conditions is analyzed. The main features of the development of agglomerations in the USA, Japan and Western European countries are highlighted. Objective and subjective factors in the development of agglomeration are determined. The great importance of the strategic project documents being created and implemented, which determine the development of agglomerations, is emphasized.

Features of loose sedimentary rocks and estimation of their reserves on the territory of the Republic of Mordovia

The article considers the features of the formation of loose sedimentary rocks under the influence of geological, physical-geographical and thermodynamic conditions. Their distribution and stocks on the territory of the Republic of Mordovia have been studied. The importance of loose sedimentary rocks for the construction cluster of the region is proved.
