Influenza vaccination and students' opinions
Abstract
Seasonal influenza morbidity rate, causing epidemics, requires not only medical and statistical research but sociological surveying as well. The article considers the issues of informing population of influenza infectious diseases. It provides theoretical material on the influenza vaccines produced in the Russian Federation and statistics on influenza vaccination in the Republic of Mordovia. A questionnaire survey was conducted in order to analyze the opinions and knowledge of students of Ogarev Mordovia State University on prevention of diseases caused by the influenza virus.
Political activity of Moscow student youth: a sociological analysis
Abstract
Political activity of students of Moscow higher education institutions, vk.com users, is analyzed. The analysis is based on the data of a sociological research carried out by the authors. The political activity is studied in two aspects of analysis: as actual and potential. Special emphasis is made on the political activities of students in the Internet.
Change of social behavior models among international students in the process of intercultural adaptation
Abstract
The article considers the issues of social behavior changes among international students of Mordovia State University in the process of adaptation to a new cultural environment. The qualitative research includes data on the spheres of life of foreigners most affected by changes in the process of intercultural adaptation. The content of the changes in the behavior patterns of visitors in social, cultural, religious and other spheres is specified. The study reveals the aspects of foreign students' perception of the receiving region features and the place of Saransk in transnational migration of students.
Motorist subcultures in social network Vkontakte: a study of the city district of Saransk
Abstract
The article considers the results of a sociological survey conducted among the members of motorists’ online communities of the city district of Saransk in the social network Vkontakte. The structural features, the ways of organization and interaction as well as the reasons of joining the online communities are studied. The socio-demographic and status characteristics of the members of motorists’ online communities are shown. The conclusion is made about the influence of the subcultures of motorists on the present-day Russian society.
Factors of late childbearing in women of fertile age in the Republic of Mordovia

The factors determining late childbearing in women of fertile age in Russia are considered. The author's research reveals the reasons determining late childbearing in women of fertile age in the Republic of Mordovia.

The article analyzes the measures of state support for families in the Republic of Mordovia. The authors present the results of a sociological research concerning the compliance of the measures of family and demographic state policy in the region with the reproductive needs of families.
Problems of socio-cultural adaptation of migrant-compatriotics (on the example of the Republic of Mordovia)
Abstract
On the basis of empirical data, the process of socio-cultural adaptation of immigrants-compatriots is analyzed. The survey data shows the main problems that arise among immigrants-compatriots in the process of socio-cultural adaptation to new living conditions in the Republic of Mordovia at different levels.
School social space in parental assessment
Abstract
The article provides a study of school social space as an issue of social development. Under the conditions of developing new relations between the institution of the family and educational institutions, the role of parents is increasing in creating a system of interaction aimed at changing the school rules, improving the socio-psychological climate and quality of education.
