Memetics: on cultural genes
Abstract
The paper deals with the history, development and current state of memetics. Particularly, the author considers the definitions of the term “meme” given by foreign and Russian researchers. In this connection the study analyzes meme's structure and properties as well as the phenomena related to it, i.e. cultural replication and media viruses.

The study presents an analysis of the composer, performer, and listener musical thinking arising in the course of their professional activities or music perception. The author reveals the peculiar features of musical thinking when considering it as a form of artistic thinking. In this connection the author defines musical thinking as a special kind of reality interpretation by means of particular musical-sound images creation, communication and perception.


Historical and ballroom dance: concept formation
Abstract
The paper studies the development of the "historical dance" and "ballroom dance" concepts in choreography theory of the 1940-60s. Special attention is given to determining the nature of pre-stage choreography language. In this connection the author considers the theories of N. P. Ivanovskiy and Yu. I. Slonimsky.

The paper studies the Finnish business culture. In this connection an analysis of Finnish business culture features is carried out by using the cultures typology and communicative behavior model. The author has come to a conclusion that the Finnish business culture is being influenced by the national character and communicative behavior of the ethnic group regarded.

At the end of the XXth and the beginning of the XXIst centuries Russia is going through a crisis of spiritual education. In this connection the paper considers spiritual verse as a genre element of folklore tradition. Being an integral part of Russian national music, spiritual verse serves as a channel of human spirituality and morality reproduction.
