Parental family features of men and women with different levels of emotional intelligence
Abstract
The paper considers the parental family features of men and women with different levels of emotional intelligence (high, middle, low). The author defines the emotional intelligence as an ability to identify, assess, and control the emotions of oneself and others. The influence of parental upbringing on developing of interpersonal and intrapersonal emotional intelligence has been studied. A conclusion is drawn that such family features as consolidation, expressivity, openness, active leisure orientation, moral principles make high emotional intelligence of a person.


Parenting style and younger schoolchildren personality and emotions
Abstract
The paper presents the results of an empirical study of the parenting style effect on personal and emotional characteristics of younger schoolchildren. The authors suggest that the children-parents relationships have an impact on the academic progress during the early school years.


Current problems of psychological aid in medical institutions
Abstract
The article considers the problems a clinical psychologist faces while working in the health care system. The author emphasizes the positive effects of the correct interaction between the psychologist and a doctor in the process of the patient medical treatment. In this connection the author touches upon the problem of psychosomatic relationships. The study focuses on the perception of psychologist by medical staff and patients.


Correctional system employees' sociability features and behaviour in conflicts
Abstract
The article presents the results of an empirical study of sociability and behaviour styles of Russian correctional system employees in conflict situations. The authors prove the need to organize and hold a special training for the correctional system employees. The training will be aimed at developing communicative and conflict management skills among the professional group regarded. The authors suggest that the training should be based on the premises of the correctional system psychological laboratories.


Professional burnout effect on teacher's performance: an experimental study
Abstract
The article presents an experimental study of professional burnout effect on teacher's performance. Using the questionnaire by A. A. Rukavishnikov, the authors analyze the intensity of mental burnout components. Having applied the technique of V. V. Boiko, the study describes the emotional burnout syndrome. Consequently, the authors draw a conclusion that the emotional burnout syndrome affects both personal and managerial characteristics of a teacher.


Axiological notions of single women
Abstract
The study deals with the specifics of unmarried women's values and notions. The authors consider the loneliness of such women as the cause and effect of their axiological notions' peculiarities. The study results have been interpreted both in accord with the traditional views and the modern social processes.


Rating of vital values and event fullness of life of modern teenagers and youth
Abstract
The article considers the specifics of life values among teenagers and adolescents. Particularly, the authors study the connection between the life value priorities and the daily event frequency of the two age groups. An empirical study has revealed both similarities and distinctions in teenagers' and adolescents' values perception and understanding. The study also analyzes the forms of the values realization in everyday lives of the two age groups.


Prosocial behaviour of students with different levels of empathy
Abstract
The article presents the results of an empirical study that included 65 students aged 18-21 years. Considering the data of the mathematical and content analysis, the authors draw a conclusion about the connection between the level of empathy and prosocialbehaviour of an individual.


The effects of stress on psychological features of pregnanat Women
Abstract
The article shows the effects of stress on pregnancy. An empirical study of 38 pregnant women has proved that stress significantly affects the emotional state of pregnant women. Consequently, their personal anxiety, rigidity and indicators of mental stress increase.


Axiological orientation of students in their professional self-development
Abstract
The article analyzes the approaches to the problem of axiological orientation of students in the process of their professional self-development. The authors present the results of an experimental study of students' values and notions influence on their professional self- development.
