Specifics of Comics Translation on Graphical and Phonetic Levels
Abstract
The article deals with the problems and difficulties arising in translation of contemporary German comics into Russian. The features of German creolized texts on graphical and phonetic levels and methods of their adequate translation into Russian are described. Special attention is given to the importance of the adjusting of the translation length to the lengths of the source text.

Abstract
The article aims at examining the phenomenon of gender stylization in English literary text in the case of the novel "The Goldfinch" by Donna Tartt. The author studies Donna Tartt's basic and imitated styles in order to identify and describe the fact of gender stylization in the text under analysis. In conclusion the author characterizes Donna Tartt's gender style in the novel "The Goldfinch".

Abstract
The paper analyzes the linguistic means that actualize the present-day image of a successful woman in English media articles. Frequently used language means that form the image under study are noted. As a result, common means of linguistic representation of the image of a successful woman were selected and the specifics of their functioning was revealed.

Chinese Learning Difficulties for Russian-Speaking Students
Abstract
The article aims to identify the aspects of the Chinese language that cause the major difficulties for Russian-speaking students. The study is based on the results of a survey carried out among students studying Chinese as a minor. Special attention is paid to the explanation of the causes why certain difficulties appear. As a result, two most problematic areas in the studying of Chinese by Russian-speaking students are identified.
