Specifics of Comics Translation on Graphical and Phonetic Levels
摘要
The article deals with the problems and difficulties arising in translation of contemporary German comics into Russian. The features of German creolized texts on graphical and phonetic levels and methods of their adequate translation into Russian are described. Special attention is given to the importance of the adjusting of the translation length to the lengths of the source text.

The article considers the requirements for translated poetic text and methods of its translation. In this connection the authors analyze the English translation of S. A. Yesenin's poem «A Letter to Mother» made by A. Vagapov.
Gender Stylization in English Literary Text

The article aims at examining the phenomenon of gender stylization in English literary text in the case of the novel "The Goldfinch" by Donna Tartt. The author studies Donna Tartt's basic and imitated styles in order to identify and describe the fact of gender stylization in the text under analysis. In conclusion the author characterizes Donna Tartt's gender style in the novel "The Goldfinch".
Image of a Successful Woman in Contemporary English Media: Representation Specifics
摘要
The paper analyzes the linguistic means that actualize the present-day image of a successful woman in English media articles. Frequently used language means that form the image under study are noted. As a result, common means of linguistic representation of the image of a successful woman were selected and the specifics of their functioning was revealed.

This article examines the correlation between the concepts "world view", "conceptual world view", "linguistic world view", "phraseological world view". As a result, the study reveals the essential features of phraseological world view, such as universality, anthropocentrism, expressiveness.

The paper considers the peculiarities of using various linguistic means in order to increase the persuasiveness of a media text by English-speaking authors. The study is focused on such linguistic means as tropes, figures of speech, metadiscourse markers. Their functions in the text are also touched upon.

This article considers the issues of poetic translation. In this connection a comparative analysis of Russian translations of P. B. Shelley's poem “Love's Philosophy” is carried out in order to reveal the features of translation techniques for original poetic images included in the translation.

The article focuses on the functions of court interpreters in foreign countries. The professional requirements to interpreters and translators are considered. The process of their accreditation and their responsibilities are described. As a result of the comparative analysis, universal professional requirements to court translators are revealed.
Chinese Learning Difficulties for Russian-Speaking Students

The article aims to identify the aspects of the Chinese language that cause the major difficulties for Russian-speaking students. The study is based on the results of a survey carried out among students studying Chinese as a minor. Special attention is paid to the explanation of the causes why certain difficulties appear. As a result, two most problematic areas in the studying of Chinese by Russian-speaking students are identified.

The article presents an overview of most up-to-date and relevant principles of teaching English as a foreign language in primary schools. The author considers case studies illustrating each principle implemented at English language lessons.
