Abstract
currently, teaching foreign languages, and in particular monologue speech in English, requires more thorough teacher training, as learning goals are becoming more in-depth and versatile in their structure. An important role is given to the choice of teaching methods that contribute to the successful mastery of monologue speech in a foreign language. This article examines the advantages of using linguistic theatrical techniques, namely the "Glottodrama" technique to activate students' creative thinking and improve their oral retelling skills. The author offers developed exercises for teaching monologue speech in English using this technique.
