Implementation of an immersive approach in the process of teaching foreign languages

the article is devoted to the topic of using the immersive approach in teaching foreign languages, where the authors substantiate the need to use modern approaches to increase student motivation. The relevance of the study is due to important educational tasks: finding ways to involve students in the learning process and maintaining their interest in the subject. The authors see the solution to the problem in using immersion, which helps create a more dynamic and exciting educational environment for full immersion in the language, ensuring the active participation of each student, emotional involvement. The purpose of the study was to substantiate the feasibility of introducing an immersive approach into the process of teaching foreign languages. The article presents forms of work in foreign language classes with immersion in reality; the integration of immersive theater elements into extracurricular work on a foreign language is described in detail. The use of various methods, such as observation, questionnaires and personal involvement in the learning process, allows us to obtain comprehensive data on the impact of the immersive approach on student motivation. The article presents the results of a questionnaire survey conducted among second- to fourth-year students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the South Ural State Humanitarian Pedagogical University. The results of the analysis of scientific literature on the research problem and the results of the questionnaire allowed us to note that the introduction of the immersive approach to the process of teaching foreign languages is effective, as it promotes natural acquisition of the language, development of communication skills, and maintaining interest in its study.
