Digital learning vs traditional learning: comparative analysis in the study of the topic "Science" in the master course of a non-linguistic university

the article is devoted to the development of English-language oral and written scientific communication as the most significant component of the academic activity of a future qualified specialist. A comparative analysis has been used to study the effectiveness factors of traditional and digital learning formats using modern educational platforms. The article substantiates the need for the formation of oral and written scientific speech skills in the master's degree program at a non-linguistic university in the context of the traditional offline learning format as the dominant factor ensuring the development of interactive interaction skills as a way of cognition, the formation of competence for critical evaluation of alternative judgments, as well as the intensification of knowledge and experience exchange. The article examines the features of teaching academic English and organizing research work of students based on modeling oral and written projects in the process of joint educational activities, the purpose of which is to improve the skills of all types of thinking, critical assessment and informed decision-making. The author presents the results of a study that revealed positive aspects in creating an English-speaking scientific and educational environment in a traditional learning format. The conclusions are drawn that the experience of teaching and organizing academic activities of undergraduates within the framework of a traditional classical Russian school is fundamental, assuming the controlled use of high-tech digital tools only as an additional and useful resource in the process of preparing and conducting training sessions.
