The role of social networks and internet in student life
摘要
The article considers the problem of social networks and Internet addiction in the life of students. A sociological analysis studies the motives of a social network using as well as the problems of virtual communication. The survey results may be of interest to students, teachers, sociologists and psychologists specializing in modern youth communication.

Considering the results of a sociological survey conducted by the author, the article presents the job placement strategies of graduates of the two largest higher education institutions of Mordovia Republic (Ogarev Mordovia State University and Evsevyev Mordovia Pedagogic Institute). Particularly, the author focuses on the prospects of further professional self- realization of the graduate students in question.

The article deals with the ethnic peculiarities of urban family values. In this connection, the population of Saransk city district was surveyed. The author studies the impact of the ethnicity on the value orientation of urban families in the Republic of Mordovia and Saransk city district as a part of it.
Representations of carnival processes in social media

The article considers the phenomenon of carnivalization in contemporary sociological interpretation. Particularly, the term is applied to social media as a type of communication. The author compares the modern society and its medieval predecessor by drawing socio-historical and socio-cultural parallels between them. The study is based on one of the Russian social media. Consequently, the author proves carnivalization to be a major trend of both virtual and social reality.
Networking and social cooperation as a research subject of sociology

The article presents a characteristics of the networking and social cooperation as a subject of sociological research. The author considers a number of theoretical approaches towards defining the networking phenomenon, particularly, the network theory and the social network theory.

The article considers the resources of youth social activity as well as their classification. The author studies the resource approach as an instrument of the formation of youth social activity. The sociological analysis of social activity resources in the youth environment allows the author to define their role in the modern society. Analyzing the development of social activity resources at the present stage, the author describes the general tendencies of the individual development in the youth environment.

The article presents an analysis of the main criteria of population social wellbeing. The author focuses on the following criteria: material welfare, social status, interethnic and interreligious situation on the regional level. The study also includes a comparative analysis of the phenomenon criteria used by sociologists from Russia and abroad.

The article considers the forms and mechanisms of interaction between the civil society and the authorities of Mordovia Republic. Particularly, the authors study the dynamics and factors of public associations’ development as an integral part of civil society. The study includes a comparative statistical analysis of public associations in the Russian Federation and in the Republic of Mordovia.
