摘要
The article considers the plant names in the Finnish language. The authors focus on the ways of plant names’ formation.


The semantic characteristics of somatic phraseological units with the component KÉZ 'hand' in the Hungarian language

The article considers the semantics of somatic phraseological units with the component kéz 'hand' in the Hungarian language. The study is based on the idioms from the dictionary by V. Bardoshy and G. Kish, which includes more than 5 000 Hungarian set phrases. The author also touches upon the methodology and the role of Hungarian phraseology in general and somatic phraseological units in particular.


Mordovian storytelling traditions in S. M. Lyulyakina’s works

The article deals with some aspects of storytelling works by S. M. Lyulyakina as a representative of the Mordva people. Particularly, the author focuses on the subject and genre features of the literary works. The study is based on the songs and tales of the author in question.

The article deals with the mythical characters of the epos "Mastorava" and their translation techniques from the Erzya language into Hungarian. The study considers the interaction between national and universal principles in the original literary work and its translated version as a most important aspect of translation. To a great extent, the translation difficulties arise when rendering national identity of a literary work. Thus, the brighter it reflects national life and typical situations, the more difficult it is to choose the appropriate verbal means in translation.

The article considers lexical and grammatical means of expressing epistemic possibility in the Finnish language. In this connection, the basic grammatical means is the potential mood. Lexical means include modal verbs, adverbs and particles.

The article considers the locativity category. The authors study synthetical and analytical means of expressing locativity in the Erzyan and Finnish languages.


On expressing the future tense in the udmurt and hungarian languages: a comparative analysis
摘要
The article presents the results of a comparative analysis of the future tense verb forms in the Udmurt and Hungarian languages. The study showed that the analytical method (a combination of the main verb and connective verbs) is the main way of conveying the future tense in Hungarian. The synthetic method is typical of the Udmurt language. However, both the Udmurt and Hungarian connective verbs take the person and number markers of the main verb. In both languages, under certain conditions, the meaning of the future tense is conveyed through the present tense form of the verb.
