The role of streptococci in the pathogenesis of diseases of the dental system
Resumo
Streptococci are spherical or ovoid asporogenic Gram-positive chemoorganotrophic facultative anaerobic bacteria from the Streptococcaceae family. They can cause diseases of the dental system (gingivitis, stomatitis, pulpitis, caries) and local inflammatory processes localized in various organs and systems of the body (skin, joints, heart, urinary, respiratory systems). Streptococci of the oral cavity differ from each other in their ability to ferment carbohydrates and form numerous virulence factors.

Changes in serum interleukins in heart rhythm disorders as diagnostic markers
Resumo
Interleukins as mediators of intercellular and intertissue interactions play an important role in the inflammatory process of any localization. Cardiac arrhythmias can be pathogenetically caused by exposure to infectious agents and immune dysregulation, in particular, an imbalance of cytokines. In patients with ventricular extrasystole and atrial fibrillation, differences in the amount of serum interleukins from the values of healthy volunteers were revealed, and the diagnostic value of immune parameters was determined.
