Internet loanwords: development of english-russian language contacts at present time
Abstract
The article considers the stages of the development of English-Russian language contacts. At present the process of borrowing English words into Russian is going on most actively in the Internet sphere. In this connection, the authors focus on studying the phonetic, accentual, morphemic, graphic, and semantic variations of English Internet loanwords in the Russian language.
English crisis mediatext as communicative event
Abstract
The article deals with the English crisis mediatext as a communicative event. The author focuses on the use of critical discourse analysis for complex studies of English crisis economic mediatexts. The general features of economic media discourse and its language peculiarities are analyzed.
English humorous discourse of stand-up show: comical concept
Abstract
The article is aimed at studying the interrelation between ethnic and sociocultural components of the humorous discourse. The authors conclude that national boundaries of the contemporary comical discourse are erasing while the focus is on the comical point itself.
Interdiscursive inclusions in Ian Mcewan’s novel “Saturday”
Abstract
The aim of the article is to analyze the peculiarities of interdiscursive inclusions in the English fiction discourse. The study is based on Ian McEwan’s novel “Saturday”. As a result, the features of the interdiscursive inclusions’ content and their functions in the structure of the novel are revealed and classified.

Translation trends in china of the early modern period (1840-1919)
Abstract
The article considers the main trends in the development of translation in China of the early modern time. The study is based on an analysis of the original texts and their translations made by three well-known interpreters of that time. There has been made several conclusions on the use of basic translation strategies and their peculiarities.
