Understanding manipulation as an element of psychological culture of students
Abstract
The article considers manipulation as a phenomenon of interpersonal communication. A short theoretical analysis of the literature on the research problem is provided. The peculiarities of students' development of the ability to understand manipulative influences are revealed.








Personal characteristics of adolescents with mild intellectual disability
Abstract
The article presents the results of an empirical study of personal characteristics of adolescents with mild mental retardation. The types of personality orientation of mentally retarded and normally developing adolescents are characterized. The study provides comparative data on the level of self-esteem and the level of aspiration of students of remedial and general schools.


Psychological features of law students' ideas of law and justice
Abstract
This article analyzes the theoretical approaches to the study of the phenomenon of legal consciousness in psychology. The study also considers the place of the ideas of law and justice in the system of individual legal consciousness. The comparative empirical data shows the attitudes of law and non-law students to law and justice.


Classics of foreign social psychology about alcohol consumption
Abstract
The article analyzes the coverage of the issue of alcohol consumption in the classical works of foreign social psychology. At the beginning of social psychology, the issue develops within the psychology of masses. Then alcohol consumption is studied within the theory of social learning. At the end of the XXth century the issue draws attention of the interaction theories of stigmatization. The conclusion is made that at each stage of the development of social psychology the issue of alcohol consumption gets a new interpretation.


The role of media psychology in social construction of reality: a study of modern Russian TV Shows
Abstract
The article considers the influence of modern television on the development of child's personality and his values, which lead to a change in the structure of the psyche and the formation of a new psychotype of the person (and the child's mentality). In the mainstream of the new paradigm of thinking in media psychology and the psychology of mass communications, the theory and practice of resistance to manipulation arises.


Cognitive culture of Hungarian people: a pilot study
Abstract
The results of a pilot study of the psychological culture of cognitive functions are presented. Language as a repository of cognitive culture is chosen as the research subject. The study methodology includes content analysis of the Hungarian-Russian dictionary. The study unit under consideration is a cognitive category. The analysis has revealed 447 cognitive categories being the repositories of cognitive experience of the Hungarian people.


The techniques of cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy in dealing with negative experiences of students
Abstract
The article presents the results of an empirical study that included the ascertaining, forming and control experiments. The study results prove the effectiveness of rational thinking training in correction of irrational attitudes of students as well as their anxiety and aggression.
