Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the genre diversity of the large-volume Russian journal "Neprikosnovenny Zapas". The journal’s typical genres are considered: review, article, interview, etc. The features that form each genre are studied: subject, function, method, etc. It is concluded that the genre diversity of the large volume journal is influenced by its regular three- module structure.

Longread as a Form of Multimedia Content in Modern Russian and International Journalism

Abstract

The article examines the history, the main characteristics and features of longread. As an empirical basis, longreads published on the websites of The New York Times and the TASS news agency from 2012 to 2022 are considered. It was noted that not only the quantity, but also the quality of multimedia content has grown over time. The analysis also made it possible to find out that longread has a great immersive potential and is focused on the exclusive presentation of the story.
