Grammatical transformations in the translation of Finnish fiction into the Udmurt language

this article is dedicated to the study of grammatical transformations in the translation of classical Finnish literature into the Udmurt language. The aim of the research is to identify various modifications occurring at the morphological and syntactic levels. The object of study is M. Waltari’s novel "Sinuhe Egyptian" (M. Waltari "Sinuhe egyptil?inen") and its translation into Udmurt titled "Египетысь Синухе," done by L. M. Ivshin. The research identified the following transformations: zero transformation, sentence division, sentence combination, rearrangements, and grammatical substitutions.
