Abstract

nowadays, technology has had a significant impact on the process of learning English. If in earlier times, formal education methods were superior, today the learning process has become more flexible and faster thanks to mobile applications, online courses and interactive platforms. Although technology allows you to learn a language anytime and anywhere, this process requires constant hard work and the habit of independent learning. Teachers should guide students to use effective resources and encourage them to work more actively in the online environment. The development of digital technology has had a direct impact on language. The spread of the Internet and social networks has led to the emergence of new language styles and abbreviations, which some linguists consider positive, while others – negative. Technology has changed the use of language in various fields, facilitated access to information and improved language learning methods. However, in order to minimize the influence of Internet language in academic writing and formal communication, it is important for linguists to conduct educational work in this area. In this article, we will look at how technology has impacted English language learning, its benefits and challenges.
