Integration of traditional and modern teaching methods of Chinese folk music and opera

this article discusses the characteristics of traditional and modern teaching methods in China and proposes an integration strategy to optimize the teaching of national music in college and university. Chinese music education is now integrated into the knowledge system, forming a new model of music education that is different from traditional teaching approaches. It helps students improve musical literacy and promotes emotional expression and cultural identity. The purpose of the study is to determine the essence of teaching methods, analyze them and propose measures to improve them. The study of the historical context of the development of folk music and national opera made it possible to identify areas for optimizing training; a comparative analysis made it possible to identify similarities and differences in approaches, techniques and learning outcomes; quantitative research is necessary to understand teaching methods. These research results can be useful in teaching practice, since with the development of pedagogical science and technology, modern teaching methods such as multimedia-based teaching, online resource sharing and digital music creation are gradually integrated into the modern classroom, making the teaching model more diverse. The teaching of traditional Chinese folk music culture has been given insufficient attention, which has led to a lag in its development. In the traditional teaching of music in an educational institution, lectures, demonstrations and analysis of works are mainly used, emphasizing the understanding and interpretation of classical works, it is important to achieve the organic integration of traditional and modern methods in teaching national music in colleges and universities, to take full advantage of these methods and improve the quality of education.
