Abstract

the article contains an analysis of the initial content of the idea of an activity-based approach to the organization of a differentiated approach in the training system for dancers of the «Pro Am» category. The article presents that sports dancing has been officially recognized in Russia and abroad as a separate sports discipline. The number of people who want to practice sports ballroom dancing is getting more and more every year. This is due to the increased attention of society to issues of self-realization and creative expression, as well as issues of physical fitness and maintaining good physical shape. With the growing popularity of this dance direction, there is an increasing demand for competent, highly professional specialists who are able not only to train, but also to develop competitive sports ballroom dancing. The issue of increasing the efficiency and reliability of the competitive process is attracting the growing attention of professionals in the field of dance sports. Thus, at the present stage, a category such as «Pro Am» has appeared in competitive dance sports. «Pro Am» is a dance system in which a professional and an amateur dance together, where the student (amateur) performs in tandem with his coach (professional), and the judges of the competition evaluate only the student. The exception is the «Pro Am» tournaments with a high level of skill, where the pair is evaluated as a whole. The features of a differentiated approach in the training system of dancers of the «Pro Am» category are considered. The materials of the work can be used to improve the educational and training process in collectives, studios, ensembles, sports ballroom dance centers, as well as in the process of organizing advanced training courses for teachers of ballroom choreography.
