Humanitarian knowledge as the basis of spiritual and moral development of the individual in modern education

the article examines the urgent problem of the spiritual and moral development of a person in modern Russian education through the prism of humanitarian knowledge. The authors analyze the existing negative trends in the educational system associated with the dominance of technocratic thinking and a utilitarian approach to learning. Particular attention is paid to the crisis of spirituality and morality in society, which manifests itself in the erosion of traditional values, the predominance of material attitudes over spiritual ones and the loss of a holistic worldview. The study details the causes and consequences of the imbalance between humanitarian and technical knowledge, justifies the need to humanize the educational process. The authors point out that humanitarian knowledge, and especially historical education, plays a key role in the formation of patriotism, moral guidelines and cultural identity of the individual. The scientific novelty of the article lies in an integrated approach to analyzing the problems of modern education, identifying deep contradictions between existing educational paradigms and the tasks of spiritual and moral education. The practical significance of the work lies in the development of theoretical foundations and practical recommendations for improving the content of education from the standpoint of humanitarian culture. The article presents an author's view of the strategy for overcoming the value crisis through the modernization of the educational system and the creation of a holistic cultural and educational space.
