Abstract

based on the historical and descriptive method, we studied the regulations and the news feed of Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University. This study showed how the university is actively involved in setting up and providing scientific and methodological support for psychological and pedagogical classes, which are an effective model for pre-professional pedagogical training. Over the three years of the project, the number of psychological and pedagogical classes supported by the university has grown from 8 to 60. The main forms of the university's work in this area have been scientific and methodological support for schools and classes, and the implementation of joint projects and events. For the purpose of scientific and methodological support for schools, a basic department has been created, educational programme modules have been developed, and courses for mentor teachers, competitions and Olympiads are being held. Key events for schoolchildren include specialized Saturdays, mentoring in project activities, themed shifts in children's camps, patriotic and sports events. The effectiveness of psychological and pedagogical classes is confirmed by the fact that since 2023, 21% of their graduates have enrolled in pedagogical training programmes with an average score of at least 4.5. The article concludes that psychological and pedagogical classes are an effective model of pre-professional training due to the systematic interaction between schools, schoolchildren, and universities. This model makes it possible to expand the educational opportunities of schools, improve schoolchildren’s professional self-determination, attract motivated applicants to pedagogical universities, and improve the quality of education at schools and universities.
