Abstract

INTRODUCTION. The theoretical aspects of integrating media centers in modern Russian schools and their role in modernizing media consumption structures are explored. In the context of digitalization and evolution of educational approaches, media centers become crucial tools for fostering critical thinking and media literacy among students. The study aims to identify key approaches to integrating media centers into the educational system and assess their impact on the learning process.

MATERIALS AND METHODS. Theoretical analysis, data systematization, comparative analysis of existing media center integration models, as well as surveys and interviews with teachers and students are used.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION. The findings indicate that successful media center integration enhances education quality, promotes media culture, and develops students’ critical information analysis skills. Key factors influencing media center effectiveness include technological infrastructure and teacher training level.

CONCLUSION. Integrating media centers into the Russian education system requires a comprehensive approach, including infrastructure modernization and teacher training. Future research could focus on developing methodologies for effectively utilizing media centers in the educational process.
