Abstract
the article is devoted to the study of the features of diglossia and bilingualism in a socio-cultural context using the example of teaching the Crimean Tatar language. The analysis focuses on the influence of historical and political factors on the linguistic situation in Crimea and on the practice of using the Crimean Tatar language in various spheres of life. The study examines the sociolinguistic aspects of diglossia, revealing the functional distribution of the Crimean Tatar and Russian languages in everyday communication, education and the public sphere. Special attention is paid to the problems of bilingualism, including issues of language planning, the development of language competencies, and the impact of diglossia on the formation of linguistic identity among the Crimean Tatars. Based on the analysis of the experience of teaching the Crimean Tatar language in modern conditions, effective strategies for the support and development of the Crimean Tatar language as a means of preserving cultural heritage and strengthening ethnic identity are determined. The article includes the results of an empirical study conducted among native speakers and students of the Crimean Tatar language. The data obtained allow us to draw conclusions about the need for an integrated approach to solving the problems of diglossia and bilingualism within the framework of the state language policy.
