Proverbs and Sayings as a Way of Reconstruction of Social-Communicative and Historical-Cultural Realities of Mordvinian Ethnos
Resumo
The authors study Mordvinian paroemias (proverbs, sayings, etc.) widely used in modern speech. Proverbs are an integral part of the interaction processes as they are regularly used in scientific, literary, and journalistic works. The study proves that Mordvinian paroemias cover a wide range of realities – from the early social formations (the period of mythological understanding of the universe) to the present.


Design of Popular Scientific Magazines in Readers’ Perception: a Study of the Magazines "Vokrug Sveta" and "National Geographic"
Resumo
The article considers the stages of graphic design development, design tools and photo types used in specialized illustrated popular scientific magazines "Vokrug Sveta" and "National Geographic". The perception of magazines by the readers is studied. It is concluded that visual communication is directly linked to visual images.

Harmonizing Ethnopolitical Relations in the Republic of Mordovia Through Regional Mass Media

The article considers the development of mass media of the Republic of Mordovia in connection with social and political life of the region. Since the late 1980s with the growth of ethnic consciousness of the peoples of the republic and the foundation of ethnic public associations the role of regional mass media in ethno-political and ethno-religious processes has increased. The author proves the importance of regional mass media in the development of ethnic tolerance.


Specifics of Covering Demographic Issues in Print Media

The article considers the covering of social issues in periodical print media. Having analyzed a number of publications on demographic issues in print media, the author concludes on the level of coverage of current social issues in Russian national press.

The article considers the role of the classic Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai in the development of Tatar journalism. The authors study the main topics and problems covered in the journalistic works of G. Tukai. The prevalence of humanistic ideas in his journalistic works is proved.


The Historical and Biographical Novel "Stepan Erzya" by K. G. Abramov: Problems of National Identity

The article attempts at scholarly understanding of the literary techniques and methods of national identity used in the trilogy of novels "Stepan Erzya" by K. G. Abramov. Considering the ethnic Mordvinian ideas about nature and national identity of Mordvinian people, the author studies the social conflicts that appear in the trilogy of novels. The article presents extensive empirical data confirming the validity of the conclusion.

The article considers the role of regional information Internet agencies in the political media-discourse of the Central Federal District. The authors present the statistics on the number of disputes in the regional mass media and a content-analysis of the relevant news feeds.




Social and Cultural Guidelines in the Penitentiary Press of the Republic of Mordovia

The article deals with the development of Russian and regional (the Republic of Mordovia) penitentiary press. Considering the content and sections of Mordovian penitentiary newspapers, the author presents the features of such papers. Consequently, the socio-cultural guidelines of penitentiary newspapers, focusing the readers on a positive perception of reality, are proved.
