Evacuation of employees of bodies of Internal Affairs and Security from the Ukrainian and Belorussian SSR to the Mordovian ASSR in 1941
Аннотация
The article considers the number of evacuated employees of the Internal Affairs and Security bodies from the territories of the Ukrainian and Belarusian SSR to the Mordovian ASSR in the first months of the Great Patriotic War. The dynamics of the arrival of employees to the new locations by months of 1941 is considered. The number of arrivals of employees at previous places of service, as well as their time spent in evacuation in MASSR, is analyzed.


On the role of A. P. Baikuzov in first Russian revolution

The article deals with an understudied aspect of the history of the revolutionary movement in the Mordovia region – the personality of A. P. Baykuzov, the head of the «Ruzaevka Republic». The author considers his role in the revolutionary events of December 1905 and raises the question of the significance of this figure in the history of the revolutionary movement on the territory of Mordovia.


Demographic data on nomadic peoples: a study based on the 1897 census

The article considers the quantitative data on nomadic peoples based on the 1897 census for the Stavropol Province of the Russian Empire. A comparative analysis is carried out; common and specific characteristics of the population of the three nomadic peoples are revealed.

The article presents an analysis of the school reform in the Mordovian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in 1958. The main directions of the education policy, the main aspects of the restructuring of the school, as well as major problems in the implementation of the reforms, are considered.


The cyclicality of Russian foreign policy from the end of XVIII to early XIX century
Аннотация
The article examines the foreign policies of the Russian emperors Paul I and Alexander I. The ambiguity and changeability of the policies have been studied, which allows us to trace the cyclical course of events in Russia's foreign policy. It is shown that each change in the cycle is marked by an armed conflict, but the inconsistency of the policies still made it possible to achieve benefits for Russian national interests.


Demographic dynamics of the settlements of the Alatyr district of the Simbir province in the second half of the XIXth and the beginning of the XXth century: a study of the metric books of the Trinity Church of Kapasovo village

The article presents an analysis of the demographic dynamics (fertility and mortality) of the settlements of the Alatyr district of the Simbirsk province from 1870 to 1905. The analysis is based on the data from the metric books of the Trinity Church of the village of Kapasovo (with the parish villages of Pashino and Trinity settlements). The factors and patterns of natural movement of the parish's population are revealed.

The article considers the personal factor in overcoming the crisis of the state potash industry of Russia in the middle of the XVIII century and the effectiveness of the proposed measures. The study shows that under the conditions of the passivity of the government, the leading role in the development of measures to overcome the crisis was played by initiative individuals.


Death weapons of the First World War

The article deals with the problem of attempts to ban certain weapons during the First World War. The study presents a review of new weapons of that time. The authors trace the attitude to the use of prohibited weapons in the early twentieth century.
