Abstract
The article considers the economic and geographical aspects of housing construction in Mordovia Republic. The study focuses on the legal and administrative mechanisms of housing policy implementation. Particularly, the author analyzes the current housing conditions and housing per capita in Mordovia Republic and Volga Federal District.


Master plan as a tool for sustainable regional development
Abstract
This article considers the problem of sustainable regional development. Particularly, the study focuses on the role of master plan in organizing of comfortable living and working environment. Being a major tool for spatial planning, the master plan is the basis for town- planning cadastre and territory atlas as it presents the current state and usage of the territory.




The problems of forest exploitation in Mordovia republic
Abstract
The article considers the problems of forest exploitation in Mordovia Republic. Particularly, the author gives their brief description and outlines the future prospects of forest exploitation in Mordovia. In this connection, the problems of forest exploitation include the following: poor quality of forest roads, illegal timber felling, and pest control. The study focuses on ecologic and economic efficiency as an important direction of forest exploitation sustainable development in Mordovia Republic.


Economic and geographical approaches to the studying of regional social infrastructure: a study of Volga federal district
Abstract
The article analyzes the facilities of social infrastructure of the Volga Federal District (VFD). The author gives an assessment of the social infrastructure of Mordovia Republic based on the rating of VFD regions in terms of providing the infrastructure services that contribute to the formation of human capital.








Production types of Mordovia republic agriculture
Abstract
The article considers the methodological approaches to the allocation of production types and regions of agriculture. The production typology of Mordovia Republic agriculture is developed. A description of the allocated types of the region agriculture is presented. Consequently, the study reveals the changes in specialization of agricultural production occurred in the last thirty years and gives their critical evaluation.
