The article presents an analysis of public catering development in Krasnodar region. Over the recent fifteen years the turnover of public catering of the region has grown by 22 times. This fact demonstrates positive dynamics of the industry development despite the manifestations of economic crisis and economic uncertainty.

The article considers the use of lands within the city of Saransk in accord with their categories, types of ownership and purpose. The study presents an audit of land use, reveals special features of land use, discusses problems and prospects of urban areas transformation.
