Abstract
The article considers the image of a Russian soldier in the Afghan war. In this connection, the author studies the film "9th Company" directed by F. Bondarchuk and the book "The Hidden War" by A. Borovik. A comparative analysis of the book and film reveals the role of military journalism.


Ethnic Architecture Coverage in the Print Periodicals of Mordovia
Abstract
The article presents a brief history of Mordvinian ethnic architecture development. In this connection, the author focuses on the features of woodcarving coverage in contemporary media of Mordovia region. Particularly, the contents of newspapers "Erzyan Mastor" and "Izvestia Mordovii" are analyzed. These newspapers regularly highlight the acute problems of woodcarving in the region: sales of products, the general state of the main woodcarving art schools in Podlesnaya Tavla village, Kochkurovsky district.




Formation and Development of Women Magazines in Russia: Etymological Aspect
Abstract
The article considers the functions of Russian women magazines. The authors study the functional characteristics of this type of media in the process of society historical transformation. As a result, the study shows the change of the role and importance of women periodicals in the society structure.

Particularly, the author analyzes the dependence of media and public opinion from the authorities in different periods of Russian society development.
