The «little war» of the Stroganov merchants in the east of the Moscow state
Abstract
1571-1572 were the peak of the crisis for the Moscow state. The most difficult war with the Crimean Khan, the intense struggle in the west weakened the garrisons of the eastern provinces, provoking a new threat. Reactionary sentiments among the peoples of the Kazan Khanate, with the support of the Siberian Khanate, led to an uprising of some Cheremis, Ostyaks, Bashkirs and Buin, during which the main route of the Stroganovs' goods to Russia was cut. The article examines the events that defined the Ermak expedition and the fate of the Stroganovs' private army in the XVII century.


"Documents and materials on the history of Mordovia ASSR" as a source on the medieval history of the Mordva people
Abstract
The article presents an analysis of the works of European authors of the VI – XVI centuries, containing information about the Mordva people in the Middle Ages. Extracts from them were published in the collection Documents and Materials on the History of the Mordovian ASSR, which is a significant source base for researchers of the history and culture of the Mordva.


On the economy of the Ulyanovsk region during the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945
Abstract
The article is devoted to the development of Ulyanovsk region economy during the Great Patriotic War in 1941–1945. At this time, many plants were moved here. As a consequence, the region was gradually reaching a higher quality level of economic development than in the pre-war period. The evacuation of a significant number of industrial enterprises with large human resources and the creation of army units led to a deterioration in the management system of the Kuibyshev region. As a result, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January, 1943 was formed Ulyanovsk region, consisting of 26 districts.


Activities of national public organizations aimed to strengthen intra-ethnic consolidation of the Mordva
Abstract
The article examines the points of view of representatives of the national Mordovian movement on the problem of the degree of consolidation of the main ethnic groups of the Mordova (Moksha and Erzya) into a single people. The author analyzes the activities of Mordovian national organizations aimed to strengthen their intra-ethnic unity.

Abstract
The article considers the interpretations of the personality and activities of Prince Alexander Nevsky in the framework of cultural heritage, namely literature and cinema. The most famous scientific and artistic works describing the prince and mentioning his main deeds, including the Ice Battle, are studied.

Abstract
In the article the concept of hero is analyzed and an overview on the heroic history of Russia is made. The central aspect is the analysis of Alexander Nevsky as a prominent heroic character in Russian history. The article gives a certain interpretation of the history of the glorification of the image of Alexander Nevsky throughout the history of the Russian state, the prerequisites and methods of this process.

The article analyzes the work of cultural and educational institutions of the Mordovia ASSR under the wartime conditions. Abstract
This article considers the history of the influence of Soviet authority on the fashion trends in the 1920s. The simplification of clothes of the post-revolutionary period is pointed out. The main trends of fashionable Soviet clothing of this period are described. The role of fashion in the Soviet propaganda and building a new society is studied.
