Abstract
Currently, the economic development of Russia is still characterized by inflation covering all spheres of life. As a result, the real state of national economy is misinterpreted. To determine the economy proportions more accurately, it is necessary to analyze economic performance in terms of inflation. In this connection, the author presents an assessment of the major trends of inflation as well as measures the effect of inflation on all macroeconomic indicators of economic development and living standards.
