Abstract
The article analyzes the contradictions between the motives and results of social counselling of women as special and regular customers of a social service. The study includes the results of a survey of employees of the social service of Atyashevsky district of the Republic of Mordovia. The authors reveal the advantages and disadvantages of the activities of the social service in social counselling of women.
