Abstract

The current state of education development can be hardly imagined without the use of Information and Communication Technologies. They make the educational process go in a higher level and provide interaction, visualization and learner-centered teaching. However, the use of modern Information and Communication Technologies in education requires new educational technologies. One of them is the technology “flipped classroom”. It means that students study new material and do required tests outside the classroom and then discuss it and do problem-solving tasks in class. The teacher uploads audio- and video lectures, presentations and instructions using some sort of the Internet applications or educational platforms. The advantages of the “flipped classroom” are the following: availability of the learning content, possibility of studying at any place, learner-centered approach, increase of the teacher-student interaction and the effective management of class time. For the flipping being successful some conditions should be observed. The teacher should explain to the students the goals and the planned results and stress the importance of lectures. The teacher should trace the success and the failure of his students in completing the tasks. Moreover, the educator is to use the centralized source for distributing the content and organize students’ interaction by means of forum, chat or blog. One of the effective educational platforms is “YourStudy”. The advantages of the platform are the following: it is free, it has no limit on the number of students, it has a wide range of instruments for the effective organization and management of the educational process.
