The role of the author's metaphor in the formation of the text

the author's worldview, created over the decades by M.M. Prishvin, requires an interdisciplinary approach that includes philological, cultural, and philosophical understanding, and the study of the writer's occasional metaphor becomes a promising area here. The purpose of this article is to study the features of the author's metaphor, implemented in individual miniatures of the first part of the works "Eyes of the Earth" – "The Road to a Friend" (1946-1950). We have considered the main directions of metaphorization, that forming the figurative and semantic basis of these works, so developing the literary, ideological and linguistic specificity of the writer's later work. In order to determine the lexical and semantic specifics of the figurative system of miniatures, a non-linear structural and semantic analysis of occasional metaphors was applied. This method assumed a purposeful constant return to metaphorized lexemes in order to determine the principles of their semantic extension and development within the framework of the texts of the Prishvin’s miniatures. The goal was achieved, which consisted in analyzing the relationship between form and content in the later work of M.M. Prishvin, as well as in defining the author's principles of semantic transference and connotative extension of figurative vocabulary, which allowed the writer to create a system of reflections combining realistic, often naturalistic description and at the same time possessing the most powerful mythological and philosophical content.
